  1. The reason I need it to have a neutral gear (note: a lot of gearboxes have neutral gears if you put the transmission rings in the middle disengaged position, but that is cumbersome and requires motors) is for it to be an authentic truck trial vehicle. If there are more compact designs than this gearbox which are RC (like this simple ratchet design) which have a neutral I'm interested. I am trying to build the smallest-possible-scale Unimog with several surprise features, so space is primary concern.
  2. hello, I am interested in compact gearboxes with neutral gears (for example, this rachet gearbox: http://sariel.pl/2009/01/direction-sensitive-gearbox/) Are there any other super-compact gearboxes with neutral?
  3. Very cool model! As for the watch...I cannot help but think another watch would have provided 2X the value...unless your company gave them to you
  4. Eh, those are Model Team though, not Technic (according to the pics)...plus studfull will be way heavier
  5. Very cool! The simplicity of the building interior reminds me of a set
  6. How do the turn signals on the 42029 Customized Pickup Truck work? I am interested..
  7. This is very cool!! Could you share instructions / LDD file? It seems more accurate than conventional Lego fake engines using the piston head p  arts.
  8. The winch has been determined (it's a compact, 11 piece version of the 8110 Unimog winch), and the gearbox will be this (designed from Trial Truck testing): http://sariel.pl/2011/02/2-speed-heavy-duty-linear-gearbox/I am rebuilding the model in LDD using your high-quality PDF instructions. Thankfully this model is small, so that shouldn't take too long.
  9. I'm going to use the 8110 Unimog set winch and add some lights. Not sure when I will be able to build it in real life but I am building it now in LDraw library using LeoCad.
  10. I'm trying to do it using LeoCad. I want to change the colors of individual parts using the submodels. How do I do this?
  11. Pulling out the legal licensing? FOLs are getting serious lol
  12. Thanks! I am working on a Truck Trial-spec version with a winch and gearbox
  13. Can i please have the lxf? Thanks!
  14. It's almost too simple to need instructions (;This is the beauty of piterx MOCs: very light weight, very few parts required, and lots of power Once this is finished let's all make an LXF for this.
  15. I doubt anyone renting from that website even knows who Sheepo is. I seriously doubt any reputation damage will be done to him. Anyone who might use this "service" probably is some 11 year old swiping a parent's credit card. And boxerlego didn't even claim to be the inventor of this 18V setup, while this guy is implying he created all of these models.
  16. helllo, i have a .ldr and .mpd file which I want to open in LeoCad and change parts colors. I have tried using the paint tool: this doesn't work. In LeoCad how do I change part color?
  17. What third- party RC tires that were narrow did you see?
  18. I'm glad you decided to use L motors instead of RC buggy units.
  19. Looks great! Also, what's the easiest way to increase voltage, using only PF parts?
  20. Looks like it should be very quick! Video please
  21. Looks nice! Anyone want to build an LXF of this? Please
  22. Wow, have you considered lubricating the turntables? Blakbird told me that improves traverse time considerably and reduces strain on the motor, increasing motor lifespan and making the battery last longer on one charge.
