  1. You should make a separate post about this. I have seen a lot of people like me totally mystified about this concept.
  2. What are finger style hinged plates? (haven't heard this term before)
  3. Very good point, I fear you're right Since you have a keen eye for detail, any idea on a compact swivel mechanism?
  4. will do thanks, i was thinking this was a cool idea It's moving slowly, I just had to take the whole thing apart to re build (; What is King of the Hammers? I hadn't heard of that before thanks EDIT: also, I will be using a built-from-the-ground-up version of 9398.
  5. I was looking at this great Ideas project. However, I have no idea how the headlights work: https://dp1eoqdp1qht7.cloudfront.net/community/migrated/b32/5f6/32898/image You can see the car with the headlights down on this page: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/12170 Any ideas on how you would attach those headlights to swivel up just like the original car?
  6. It should be easier to make a higher end version of this with actual holes and putting the bottom on an incline to draw the ball to a recovery point to put it back in the game. It could also be much larger.
  7. I live in the Midwest of USA and I realize I don't know any builders who live nearby. Occasionally I hear about builders who collab together. However, how in the world do they figure out where the other person lives? PMs by chance? I have a better idea: a location-based FOL network. You will be shown MOCs of people who live nearby. If you both like the other person's MOCs, you will be entered into a PM to work on collabs, look at each other's models in person, etc. (Since I am terrible with apps this will be a web tool.) Are there any other features you guys would want? (Rules such as being a certain age or older would of course apply.)
  8. I am a programmer, I have an idea for a social network about Lego, it will group people based on distance, it will be a separate thread (;
  9. No, I don't have the parts to complete it, if someone else could try would be great I was considering using a gearbox with less gears that's motorized, such as Sariel's gearboxes, but supercars have more gears, so a 7 + r seems perfect. Next I will make a plan to switch between 4WD and RWD.
  10. So if I am looking at this right, the higher up set of links point inward, and the lower set of links go out?
  11. I had no idea about this, I took apart my 9398, I am rebuilding it.You posted the same video twice. How is 4 link harder to build?
  12. Can you explain? what does the pivot ball do, how do you get rid of it.
  13. Why would someone use 4 links when 2 will make an alright live axle? Is it just a matter of budget and 4 link is better? If so is that why 9398 is a 2-link setup on both axles?
  14. I think this gearbox should fit in a manual version. Found it on mocpages. 7 + r https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7ClftNJdh9_TkRPUkNjNHprZmM/view?usp=sharing Next to work on making it convertible.
  15. yes, I will try this, digital thoAny progress on LDD file?
  16. This is a great idea, we could pin it down to the city. would the mods have a problem with sharing this information? that is hilarious
