Nice premise. -
I like that you didn't just use one type of basket on their heads.

Vintage LEGO 6246 Crocodile Cage Set ! Unboxing & Review !
gotoAndLego replied to VintageLegoEra's topic in LEGO Pirates
They did recently make a set like this - 4182 POTC Canibal Escape. -
Love the fins and your use of the paint rollers.

[MOC] BMW Isetta minifigscale with instructions
gotoAndLego replied to OutBricks's topic in LEGO Town
I really like microcars, so this is great. -
The solar panels on the roof should be something other than dark grey. Trans blue or silver maybe.

I'm not referring to the white background, just that the quality of the newer photos is better.

If it bothers you, find some Mixel eyes you like and swap them out.

[MOC] Speed Champions 75877 alternate models
gotoAndLego replied to Peteris_Sprogis's topic in LEGO Town
These are all very good. Most people don't try to work under the constraints of a small set, despite the small 3-1 Creators showing it is possible.- 17 replies

Why is the HE not as liked as the other creator expert trains
gotoAndLego replied to Legoboy22's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yeah, I suppose Europeans like it more than Americans because that style of train is common over there. Additionally, It looks a little weird with only one set so without spending double the ,prey the train is incomplete. -
I have a suggestion on a button name change. After you click on 'Edit', the 'Edit topic' button would make more sense if it were 'Save edit'.

The Crooks' Island set is surprisingly useful for making a workshop/garage. Even that jet ski launcher technic thing makes a bike lift.

I'll be over there for work in a week or two, does anyone know if the stores have exclusive sets or figs?

Steinbruck - Modular town & Vehicles (NEW: Corner Square)
gotoAndLego replied to Nightfall's topic in LEGO Town
I like all the vehicles, but esp that little mower/street sweeper with the red attachment on the front. -
Every house needs a coffee maker.

Thanks a lot. Here is the mostly finished exterior. As my working bricks are all in storage, most of my choices are based on which pieces I have around me; occasionally I will go into storage and grab some pieces I want to use. Not ideal, but I find it makes me more creative in my parts usage.

Position them on the knife so the tip of the blade is centered on the sticker, then touch the knife to the center of the tile.

Chimney design -- The chimney aligns with the stove top on the second floor and the space heater on the third floor. An issue I ran into with the trash can is that the top of it has a weak connection. I tried several things to make it secure and discovered that the tan gear in the bottom photo is perfect. Of course I had to move those medium blue curved pieces because the black chimney "supports" were in the way and since I didn't feel like digging in my storage space for dark blue slopes I added dark red slopes to the roof.

[MOC] Volkswagen T1 Microbus Minifigscale w. Instructions
gotoAndLego replied to OutBricks's topic in LEGO Town
Excellent use of the arches over the front wheel and tooth plates on the front bumper. -
I dont think he means use more dark red, but rather break up all of the light grey on the front with another color...like dark grey.

It looks great but the interior needs better illumination. I would increase the size of the skylights. As Littleworlds said, you should retake your photos without the camera flash, but when photographing the shops consider removing both the plastic from the windows and the roofs above so the interiors are better illuminated. If you look at the kitchen photo of my Dutch Scooter Shop post, the reason why the interior is so well illuminated is that there is nothing above it; I just cropped out the top of the photo. That will make a world of difference.
