Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
gotoAndLego replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
The doors are obviously sized for the engine to exit or enter and there is an additional door for the figs to exit the back. The AS alley doesn’t really go anywhere either. -

If you have a building against the back of the Firebrigade you can’t really drive the fire engine out that way despite there being an exit for it. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

They’re in the proper place to connect, I just think in its this year’s modular. Or more to the point, I don’t think there will be a creator modular this year but NC is out if you want something that conn3cts with them. -

It has pin connectors and removable floors. It’s an Asian themed modular. -

I think Ninjago City was the ‘2018’ modular. It was just released early to coincide with the movie. -
I like that there is aback with a park, instead of just being a big block. Can we assume that you are making other buildings to complete the park in the back?
-
You could also attach them to the tracks which already have the curve you want. Attaching to the baseplate, that stud with hole, a bar, and these ladders. http://thefamilybrick.com/behind-the-family-brick/we-listed-ladders-fences-and-palm-trees-oh-my/attachment/lego-bar-ladder-black-6020-1/ or with your fence pieces, a more delicate connection would be to use a stud/jumper on one side and a tile on the other.

Attachments -- and how to delete them
gotoAndLego replied to Legoboy22's topic in Forum Information and Help
How do I delete my old attachments? -
I'm not sure how Lego could have reduced the parts count, and therefore the price, without getting complaints as well. Make it smaller? ... then its not a Mansion house. Replace the lettering with stickers? ... Stickers are bad. No roller coaster? ... Not very accurate. I have limited display space in our small house, so I usually keep big sets together for like a month and then break them down, bag them, and put them in tubs. The benefit is that if I can always rebuild them for fun later.

I think its a spectacular building, but if you don't think the style is right for your street why don't you make an MOC out of the parts. I find it interesting that you only have a problem with PR’s height, if anything I found the BrickBank to be too short to work with other modulars so I increased its height by one row of top-floor windows.

Did you not use the 1x1 bricks between the turret windows because there wasn’t space, or just for a different look? I also like your rows of studs out.
-
I think the turret is fine. Outside of any other justification, Green Grocer had one so there is a precedent for using them in non-corner modulars. I like the colors and the textures, the folded shower curtain, the parts use for the toilet bowl, and the sign.

I like that it features Dr. Moreau’s genetics class.

I think it looks great.

Bear in mind that you will need to figure out the “carrying” mounts on your AT-TE. Your can see the technic piece and axles I used on the rear 3/4 shot; of course I physically remove those pieces after separating the ship. I needed a more open space in the AT-TE to fit it, but those were made shortly after getting back into Lego so I didn’t have a big parts collection to find other solutions. I didn’t know about BrickLink and had to buy sets to get parts...LOL, It also explains why it has white feet. Now it would probably be a cleaner connection, but to be honest the AT-TE is pretty solidly attached and the combo is very swooshable.

I started with the Gunship, then made the AT-TE and decided I needed a Dropship as well.

I really like yours. How sturdy are the ankle joints?. I made one years ago to go with my Midi Gunship and Dropship, but yours uses more modern build techniques.

Is this an extension of your earlier Fire Station, which is also excellent, or a new building?

That depends. If you go back and look at Fire Brigade it had yellow bumpers.

[MOD/MOC] 31065 Park Street Townhouse kinda 4th model
gotoAndLego replied to peme's topic in LEGO Town
Creative build, I like how you modded the set. -
Looks great, I really like the island. Have you considered small bumpers to stop a car from hitting the pumps.
