Good presentation.

My PRR FF1 locomotive has a single L motor. I think it is geared 12:20. It is slow but the prototype engine only has a maximum speed of around 20 M.P.H. Pulling power is pretty good.

Do you have another AAA battery box to try? Sounds like the one you're using, its fusible link may be tripping too early. The AA and AAA battery boxes should have the same resetable fuse value. Maybe the expensive Rechargeable LiPo battery box of the same size could be another option.

40 PAB Cups (@ $20 each). -
Congrats to the winners and participants. Thank you, Maxim I, for running the challenge and the great write-ups. They're a fun and entertaining read. I didn't think the shirtless crew would make it this far. All the drinking and eating training must have really helped. It looks like Sea Rats have the rights to host next year's Cup. Time to read up on soccer rules and save up some funds. blackdeathgr, I think we'll stay with soccer for now. The Sea Rats' Amara and her Amazons friends may have an advantage. What's the longest time you've ever kept a MOC together?
dr_spock replied to mocbuild101's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I made this MOC in 1983. It is still together because I wasn't into shredding MOCs back then. Was MOC even a word in 1983? Picture 4429 by dr_spock_888, on Flickr -
What type of jobs are being laid off and where?

Nice idea. You could test to see if it works with IR receiver. Its LB1836M motor driver Vcc can be up to 10.5V according to the spec sheets.

Has anyone built a 7740 or 7745 on smaller bases?
dr_spock replied to exstatik's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That sounds like a fun project to reduce the carriages to 6x16. Decades ago I MOD the two 7710 carriages into one 6x32 carriage because I though they were too short by North American standards. Now I like the 6x16 size. -
Close. GO Transit uses the MPI MP40PH-3C which has 4000 HP and a separate engine/generator for HEP. I believe Boston's MBTA also uses MPI locomotives.

Very nice. I'm surprised someone in China would model a GO train. I saw one go by this morning. It looked very similar.

Road trip to Alberta. They only have 5% GST instead of 13% HST if I recall my tax tables. It might be fun to include BrickCAN AFOL convention into the cross country drive. We need a hyperdrive... -

Clever. For minifig occupational heath and safety, perhaps some barriers to keep the figs from falling into the drum too. -

How to hire someone to create a model?
dr_spock replied to Chwtom's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
You can search for a Certified LEGO Professional in your area and inquire. You can also approach a local LUG in your area. Some times they have members willing to work on commission. Costs depend on how big and detailed you want the model to be. -
Welcome to Eurobricks, Steve.

Welcome aboard, Nate. I think there is a topic on that show somewhere in the General forum.

The LEGO Ambassador Network has a Community Locator. https://lan.lego.com/clubs/overview/ I think it only allows you to filter down to the North America level. Looks like they use the same forum software as Eurobricks. Good luck finding a group.
