  1. Good work. Nice use of parts. Corset has a pirately chest feel and the hair is kraken good.
  2. I am not worried yet. My wallet is still recovering from HE and other trains the past year.
  3. Nice build. Clean LEGO is good.
  4. Some motherboards would beep beep a sequence if the video is bad. I'm thinking might be your motherboard and/or power supply.
  5. Aren't real race cars typically covered in their sponsor's stickers? I used to build scale models and some of them have decal sheets not for the faint of heart. They do help make the scale model look more prototypical. I guess the LEGO designers are trying to do the same thing. What bugs me are LEGO stickers that crack over time. I never had that problem with decals on my scale models. In any case, the parts don't come pre-stickered. As an adult, you can make the decision to put them on or not. They're not hard to peel off and re-use either.
  6. Swoosh. I love it. It is collectible and playable.
  7. Oh no. You can also try taking out the hard drive and connect to your working computer to copy off the files. On the no boot computer. Do you see any lights or hear the fans or beeps?
  8. I am looking forward to getting some bluecoats and the smaller sets. I was lacking at the last Tournament of Retribution. I am on the fence with the ship. I'll wait for a Eurobricks RA review.
  9. I think a SHIP should also be swooshable. https://www.flickr.com/groups/1614553@N25/pool/
  10. Great build for play. 4 wide planes do maximize available space. Lucky kids.
  11. Nice. I think if you stick a couple of small train wheels under it, it can be a MOW vehicle for your railroad.
  12. Here is an example of Rediums suggestion. Just normal plates on the bottom and a Technic plate with holes to mount the boogie. There is no side wall to limit the boogie's pivoting movement.
  13. Are you using two 24x6 train bases together? I tried it and it is too long to negotiate curves. The boogies are hitting the sides of the train base and run out of room to pivot.
  14. Neat. The drop down gates allow for easy play. Nice feature. I've been thinking of building something like it. In researching, there was 6% lost of cattle during transport by train over long distances. You should have water too. I think most livestock transport is done by trucks now since it's cheaper. The final truck ride is likely to the local processing plant. Processed meat can then be transported by trains, trucks, ships in refrigerated shipping containers, trailers, reefers, etc. over long distances. The circus still transport animals by train. Their cars are built to be more comfortable for the animals. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=495542
  15. Probably more than I really should spend. You could get in Seriously Huge In Trouble with your wife.
  16. How long did it take you to aquire your entire warehouse collection?
  17. Maybe they're trying to teach their dog to chase his own tail too.
  18. Welcome aboard. What kind of balloons do you make for money?
  19. Probably more so that competitors don't reverse-engineer and market the product first.
  20. I guess BrinkLink the prelim parts and MOD it for some of you. What are the published functions?
  21. Brillant. Did she suspect a thing with the video crew hovering around and microphone taped in your jacket? It's also on YouTube: Congrats again.
  22. Looks good. This would certainly be easier to bring to AFOL events and shows.
  23. It looks fine as a steam engine. There are steam engines with 2-6-4 arrangement. But if you say you model your train after a real prototype then it should resemble the real thing.
  24. Looking good. You could try cutting out a larger hole in the sticker with the blade of exact zero. (X-Acto).
  25. Your train base plates have 3 holes for attaching the boogies. You could try different ones to see if you get more clearance. What does the underside look like?
