I haven't tried that yet. They are simple devices. I was helping my FIL repair his electric fence on this farm a couple of summers ago. It ran off a 12V battery recharged by a solar panel. It works well for cows. I may get in trouble using it on adults and kids who don't obey the signage. One thing I learn is no need to superdetail your trains at these events with small parts. You'll only end up on your hands and knees looking for them or they disappear after the Great Fall. Back on topic. It was extremely easy to remove my boogie and attach my friend's 9V motor to my train. Put on the tracks and run. There was nothing else to change. I think if you design your MOC with PF and 9V in mind then it's pretty easy to switch between the two.

Beautifully done. Where did you get the RailJet clear decals? What scale are they?

Thanks for the feedback. Lets try some more pink and purple. Is it worthwhile to tile the rest of the deck pink? Would that be pink overload? Captain cabin is now the pink room. I think I like dark brown outside and pink inside.

You can download the Imperial Flagship build instructions from LEGO and get the parts through BrickLink, LEGO, or other sources. http://brickset.com/sets/10210-1/Imperial-Flagship

Should LEGO cut ties with Shell?
dr_spock replied to legoman19892's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Depends on how collectible they are and are collectors willing to pay crazy money for them. More cash is not an issue if both parties mutually agree to terminate the contract. The problem arises when only one party wants to break or can't meet their contractual obligations. Then you can have the lawsuits. Others may not want to do business with you if you have a reputation of breaking contracts or agreements. Or you could stick Shell stickers on all MOCs to protest.- 214 replies

GE Dash 9-44CW /w Canadian National livery in 7 wide [WIP]
dr_spock replied to legoman666's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Good work. Nice to see a Canadian railroad. Canadian Northern could exist if Canadian National bought out Burlington Northern instead of Sante Fe. -
I borrowed a 9V train motor and 9V tracks and ran all day at an event. I didn't encountered any problems with wheels from current train sets in the cars. It's all supposed to be compatible from what I read. The only derailments I got were kids knocking the train over. The stanchions and do not touch signs don't work.

You just have to change out the motor. The plastic wheels will work on the metal tracks.

It is not as simple as straight currency conversion. You have to take into account the country's government and what kind of import tariffs, taxes, duties, cost of doing business, volume of business, transportation costs, etc. In some countries those taxes are added to the price so the price advertised is inclusive. Unlike the USA where advertised price is without the local and state taxes included. Each country where LEGO does business may have different revenue and profit targets. They probably have a pricing model spreadsheet for each country or region to input various variables and get a price to charge out.

You don't need a big tractor for small hobby farm but a small one is still useful. Alternatively, you could add a horse and plow and wagon.

Cute. Great job filling in a lot of details. What is the thing in the back?

Thanks. Mr. Bunny appreciates that. Thanks. Funny, my son said, "Lipsticks, really?" I tried to make it not too girly. Arrh, I forgot to put in a monkey or two. The port was part of the teambuild contest over at the Pirates section. It is now kind of parted here and there. The contest might be in their index. Thanks. I struggled with where to put it. It is hard sometimes with cross-themes. It might be a bit too pinky for my fellow Redcoats. I guess the moderators can move it if they feel it belongs there more. Thanks. LT. Thanks. I picked up the QAR salls and boat hulls for free. Unfortunately, I don't have a Imperial flagship. Imperial flagship sails would probably work well too if the ship was built with white ship hulls from the Friends Dolphin Cruiser set. Actually that might make a nice tall ship. Somebody should try to build one.

Avast, everyone. Presenting my latest Friends build, the Pink Pearl. It's a galleon type sailing ship in the style of pirate theme ships. The Pink Pearl is friendly. If there are pirates around, she has 4 shooting cannons to defend herself. The Pink Pearl by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Captain Mia's cabin is cozy. She has a comfy bed, desk, treasure map, sword, pistol and a lip sticks rack. The Pink Pearl by dr_spock_888, on Flickr In preparation for their journey, our Friends-ship is docking at the Imperial Trading Post for supplies such as, meat. Hey, where's the beef going? Imperial Port by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Weigh anchor and set sail on the high seas for a friendly adventure with the Pink Pearl.

Bunny army building. Hair salon with scissor looks interesting. I wonder if it will connect with the Beauty Salon set?

Have you tested your backups and restore procedures?

I think she would be a damsel causing distress with her cutlass. We don't have the back story yet in the set description. Since this is a toy, she can be anything you pretend her to be. Like daughter of the governor.

[MOC] Balisong/Butterfly Knife
dr_spock replied to arc's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Neat. I think I found a use for those Bionicle blades. Unfortunately butterfly knives are illegal in our jurisdiction. -
How do I post pictures of my In N Out Burger MOC
dr_spock replied to TheLegoMan785's topic in LEGO Town
Eurobricks is not really set up to host pictures. You have to upload your pics to a picture hosting site like flickr and deep link them into your messages here. Here is a tutorial by Pandora on how to do that with flickr -> http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921 -
That's good news. Have you backed up your files now to an external device or to the other computer?
-
Molto bene. Good looking train. Handled those standard curves well without derailing. Does it have an interior?
-
What is your budget? Do you have other things you want to take good pictures of besides Lego?
-
Buying sets on sale like the Lone Ranger Train is also a good way to get train parts for the MOCs. Also you don't have management and accountants deciding what you can or can't put in your MOCs cost-wise. Plus it doesn't have to be appropriate for a 6 years-old to build.

Are you refering to the pin on the yellow boogie plate like this one? You can get another boogie plate from LEGO or Bricklink: http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=4025 If you're finding you are breaking a lot of boogie plates, you can rebuilt the boogie wheels using technic plates with holes and use the plentiful and cheap technic pins to connect the boogie to your train base frame.
