Blew a mountain bike tire jumping off a curb. I didn't think I was that heavy...

Shredded some of my daily MOCs, sorted and put away the pieces.

You can get your iPad to communicate directly to the NXT if you jailbreak it. The full version of iNXTG works that way. The lite version of iNXTG requires a PC in the middle. If you're into programming microcontrollers, you could make something small with a bluetooth and wifi module running a webserver to act as a go between the NXT and iPad. I think it is easier to use an Android device. There are many of them and they are not too expensive for models that are a generation or two old (which still work fine for remote control and tinkering.)

Cool, that would make a great poster print. I squished Darth's Tie Fighter to fit the little vignette. Day 207 of 365: Advance Tie Parking by dr_spock_888, on Flickr

Staff picks are what they are--something that someone on the staff likes. You can agree or disagree with their choice. It's probably not worth much trying to read more into it than what it is. On the other hand, it's great that our Eurobricks' own Oky's Inside Out: Headquarters was staff picked.

LEGO has brought back popular sets before with their LEGENDS series in the early 2000s. There is precedence. Whether they'll ever to do that again is not another question.

My secret memory trick is I created an album of my train MOCs on flickr. I use that to fill in my list.

The people who know are employed by LEGO. It seems they aren't talking when asked about future products for fear of losing their job.

Megabloks, LDD and Bricklink.
dr_spock replied to Redimus's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I think you can make and add your own unofficial parts for LDraw or MLCAD. There are tutorials on how to do that. You could make a custom brick palette in LDD. Have you check out the help indexes in the EB LDD forum? Any way, this is more for the LDD than train forum. -
Welcome aboard. That's quite a collection.

MOC methodology
dr_spock replied to niknarjc's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It's an endless loop like a collection of GBC modules at events. Don't forget to add in project management if you're doing a collaborative group build. -
Your Best Technic Bargains
dr_spock replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Does winning a 40030 count as a bargain for $0? That's the yellow crane section used in a couple of CITY crane sets. http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=52041&idColor=3#T=C&C=3 -

Nice work. The mirror holders for the 7992 looking container stacker do look oversized.
