Good one. Would an end of track bumper help lessen the dental impact to T-Rex? That toilet lawyer guy looks like my sig fig.

Brick-built Animals VS Molded Animals
dr_spock replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Both here too. Depends on the size and usage. -
Excellent idea. That was a trip down memory lane or memory tracks.

LEGO® is more fun with minifigures. I made it for my brick badge. If you're ever in Toronto, Canada... Thanks. I do worry turning a hobby into a business could take all the fun out of it.

Milling/cutting/engraving LEGO is fun too.

I'm looking at adding weights too for traction. Boat weights and battery boxes are bulky. Model railroaders use lead shots, fish weights, automobile wheel stick on balance weights, etc. Maybe lead sheets might work for tight spaces. I have a dead car battery, I wonder if the lead plates inside are useable after neutralizing the sulfuric acid? Seems kind of sketchy...

It's old but it works. I use several picture hosting sites in case one or two go bad like PhotoBucket, MOCPages, etc.

Should people buy Fake Chinese PF motors?

Thank you for the photos. Are there any marking showing who makes the can electrical motor inside? -
It's the same in the book publishing business with comic and graphic novel titles.

I don't recall ever finding mould release agent on the plastic parts. I applied many of Friends set stickers without first cleaning parts and haven't had any problems with adhesion. It wouldn't hurt if you want to put in the extra effort. Usually cleaning is something done before applying water decals on models after you've painted it. BTW, is there a Canada sticker for the Candarm?- 310 replies

You could make your own physical remote using an ESP32 microcontroller module or similar for a father/son hardware/software project. What the LEGO doesn't giveth, you have to maketh.

To people who own Lego cities: don't make the same mistake as I did...

Our group brings a bag of wooden shims to our public display events. I also carry a level. The event organizers usually supply those types of folding tables. If you're building a permanent layout at home, making your own layout benchwork like model railroaders could be better way to go as you can customize the size to your base plates. -
Makeup blush brush works pretty good without scratching the plastic. Air compressor for air tools with blower attachment works too. (setting too high a PSI can blow pieces off.) It is cheaper than canned air in the long run if you have other uses for the compressor.

A proper title could be People Are Stealing LEGO® Products.

That's good news. I had to send my NXT back after one of its capacitors exploded with a loud bang and puff of smoke. I shipped it after receiving the replacement.

If you're into 3D printing your own, there are train wheels on Thingiverse.com to download and print or customize.

Cool. Which IBM business unit did your father work for? Probably should continue the IBM convo in this other chit chat topic to keep this one PU centered -> Would that also include the don't pour water into concentrated acid as noted in the lab safety manual? The PU team probably should have taken the IBM course on User Interface and Experience. Programming with my chubby fingers on a small phone screen isn't all that fun.

Powered up train hub problem

You can create your own "profiles" in the Powered UP app. Click on the "Create" icon instead of "Play". -
I guess LEGO wants us to explore, play around, and figure things out like little kids or something. It seems like none likes to write documentation any more. I do miss pushing around the heavy duty bookcase on wheels with the IBM System/390 mainframe documentation. That was a couple hundred pounds of muscle building paper docs.
