  1. Beautiful work. So much detail. All those stickers (decals?) really enhance the build. I don't think LEGO will bring back Model Team. I believe Model Team has morphed into Creator Expert.
  2. Looks great. I may change the wheels to have the same size tires to match my T1 Camper set. Camper tires are the same size as the Bug's spare tire.
  3. Looks like a good companion for my T1 Camper. Time to start saving...
  4. Very nice. Good job capture its shape.
  5. Over the weekend I had an opportunity to run it publicly. It was fun knocking over trees and minifigures with the huge overhangs on the locomotive and flatcar. Unfortunately, I didn't film it as I was busy moving them to make room. The train was knocked over a couple of times by kids and one adult setting a bad example for his son. But the train held together. I am going to rebuild the locomotive so that it overhangs inside the curve to match the flatcar. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. The 4th axle is connected to 3rd axle with a Technic half thick liftarm beam in a swing arm fashion.
  6. Thank you very much. It does pretty at the back of the train. But it popped off the tracks after a kid knocked my train over. Stanchions and plexiglass aren't all that effective.
  7. Awesome job. It seems a bit wide at the bottom for a sports bike but it's fitting for a cruiser.
  8. Nice. Is there way to display the pressure reading on your phone?
  9. I've made some updates to my BWE GBC module. I've built a ball feeder unit. It wouldn't be purist using a plastic food container lid for feeding the balls. This weekend I finally had a chance to display it. It ran non-stop without jamming or breaking down for the duration of the 4 hour outdoor picnic event. My target kids audience seemed to like it. There were a few who kept coming back to watch it.
  10. I build them at least once. If I like them, they go on the display shelf. If I don't like them, they go into the parts bins. I bought a discounted 8053 with intention for parts. I ended up liking it for shelf display after building it.
  11. You could hook up a Power Function IR Receiver and use the PF Speed Controller to adjust the speed of the bucket wheel. Assuming LEGO did performance tuning, the slow speed could have been chosen so that it works well picking up the LEGO pieces supplied with the set. On my GBC BWE, running the wheel too fast can cause the bucket content to miss the dump point into the conveyor belt. YMMV.
  12. Sweet. Very nice. How does it look with a minifig engineer and brakeman? Have you tested it on LEGO switches?
  13. Interesting idea. Make one and let us know it turned out You could also make one giant gummy. I have a recipe in my link. Yummy Gummy Minifigs by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  14. One Pick A Brick Cup.
  15. 42009 might be kind of big compared to the scale of the BWE. 8228 Crawler Crane might be a more appropriately sized crane to match BWE for an assembling scene.
  16. I went down into an open pit mine on a bus. LEGO doesn't make Technic buses and they didn't let me drive.
  17. I drive a Beetle while listening to the Beatles.
  18. Welcome aboard Captain James. Nice hair Jasper.
  19. Congrats to the correct guessers.
  20. My 6382 Fire Station stickers are still fine on the fire trucks after 35 years. The stickers on 8258 Crane Truck from 2009 are cracked now. Both sets sat on the shelf for years. I think it depends on the material LEGO used for the stickers and environmental conditions.
  21. I just peel them off carefully and stick them on to the non-stick backing sheets of printable labels. I may use an X-Acto to help lift up a corner if fingernail doesn't work. Some LEGO stickers that hardened and cracked won't be able to peel off easily without destroying them like on the Technic 8258 truck crane. I put the non-stick sheets with the stickers in a file folder to keep flat.
