  1. Maybe this should go in the BSTF forum instead, but my local Walmarts have a handful of Elves sets on rollback--both the Treetop Hideaway and Secret marketplace for $10 off, and the Pegasus sleigh (can't remember the discount). Might be worth checking out at your local WM.
  2. Hey! Watch your language!
  3. I only have one Hulk, but it's the best IMO (2012), but man I love the Lou Ferrigno look of this one with the dark green hair. The rest of these Hulks are good, too, but don't mean anything special to me. The seem to be okay, but with plenty of good potential in the parts (big purple wheels, I'm looking at you) Don't know if I can bite the bullet on this one, but I can definitely see its appeal.
  4. So you missed the Apple Fries?
  5. A - 1 D - 1 E - 1 So many good and clever entries, I wish I could award more points!
  6. Honestly, I think a non-technical way would be simpler if you want to be able to move things around freely and easily. For example, grab some plates from your collection and use 6x6s to represent the 48x48s, and 4x4s for the 32x32s. Even planning a very large diorama shouldn't take up much table space when scaled down to 1/8. Then connect the plates and save it or just snap a picture for reference later on.
  7. It's because the "real world" part of the movie never happened either. It's all a part of the kid's imagination. He only ever imagined that he got into his dad's Lego, but really the basement is under lock and key. He pretended that his dad came around, reconciled with him, and eventually let him into the Lego room, but none of that actually happened. That kid is living a desperate fantasy from the first minute.
  8. My favorite bit is the observation car, simple but perfect. (I mean, the rest is great, too, obviously)
  9. Well they can't do something for every movie, can they? Even official Disney/Marvel film releases have gone without sets (Thor: The Dark World, for example, which would have been like The Lone Ranger; the sets would have been great regardless of the movie). But the Blackbird did coincide with DOFP, even down to the inclusion of the Sentinel. I personally don't think TLG would coincide a comic set with an R-rated movie (and I'm curious to see where the DC license goes, what with the R-rated BvS developments), but the point stands that they could, and there is a precedent.
  10. I love your second series, Robert! Favorite has to be the human cannonball, but really they are all amazing. Look forward to series 3, and the grave digger...
  11. This has been my policy, too, and after reading rollermonkey's comment, I don't regret it! Of course, I generally keep my stuff off the cloud. Call me old school, but I like to physically own a disk or movie or album, then rip the content from there.
  12. I really like how you did this, the grayscale looks wonderful.
  13. Wow, the building itself is quite impressive, and I think you've captured the effect nicely, especially at this scale.
  14. I can definitely envision a lot of these as actual releases, great job
  15. NPU on the net. I think the trans-lt-blue definitely captures the look of the building (especially when you can see all the white ones around it).
  16. Instantly recognizable! Great choice for this contest!
  17. Ah. I see what you did there.
  18. Glad to have Bruce back, but I must have missed the part where he started taking fashion advice from Pombe!
  19. Great job on the terrain, the hauler looks pretty good, too.
  20. This ship has beautiful angles all around, and the shaping around the cockpit is great, too
  21. Love the speeder and the comms array. I wish the story had more answers, but they seem to be forthcoming so I can be patient
  22. Wow, the walker is quite unlike anything I've ever seen, and it's fantastic. The design centered on/around the pilot's body is creative, and really well done, with just enough greebliness and age built into it.
  23. Um...wow. I didn't see that coming at all. I...I don't even know whether or not to believe it. Not that death hasn't happened in AG already (my signature is proof of that), but Scorpio was a nobody and I was hinting at his death since last October. Even Goatman's exit wasn't a total shock, but this--this was completely unexpected. Wow. I hope Steve has a good explanation because I need to know what happens next. By the way, I like the way your build mimics Steve's. The build is similar enough, but each builder's style shines through. Hope to still see you around here, even if it won't be with Raven.
  24. Hm. Seems too easy. Here's a longer path:
