  1. I emailed Lego again about my order. And I had originally ordered wave 5 since I thought I'd be able to get them faster then waiting to get to a TRU or target but at this rate, I'm starting to think waiting to get to the store would of been faster!!! I placed the order on the 8th and it's now the 20th. Have yet to get a shipment notification and I'm beyond fed up!!!
  2. Does anyone know if the Lego friends wave 5 are really popular in the states or is Lego only bothering to make a few packs a day? Am getting REALLY mad over here! I placed an order for 2 of the wave 5 collections(the ones that have one of each animal) on the 8th and on the 16th I still had no shipment notice. I emailed them and they used the "backordered and just came in stock" excuse and I emailed them back wanting to know why didn't I get an email about the backorder. Well, they tap danced around the question but said that the item came back in stock and it would be shipping out today or tomorrow. Guess what? No shipment notice as of the time I'm posting this AND its shown as sold out, AGAIN!!! Omg Lego, really??? There's a larger set that I REALLY want but I'm going to buy it store so I avoid this monkey business. Not even sure what to do about wave 6 now. I might be forced to go through Lego online again since the waves showing up in store around here are a major hit or miss
  3. Bedroom when your on a budget? Well, technically it might be an ex-bedroom since I've been using the couch as a bed since I prefer having access to the dvr. If the bed goes, I know that I want to put down a short pile rug and I would put a desk in my room. I've been doing Google searches for both desk and rooms but its a strike out. If I'd want to 100% lego-fy a room or make an IKEA hacker end table, I'd be set but that's not what I'm looking for. I can kind of find the very rare semi decent idea but the problem is that i don't really want something that looks like it'd only be good for a 4 or 5 year old. While I do want something that says "Lego"(figuratively since I also also am into a few clone brands), the problem is that I'm looking for more of a " good for a Lego fan of any age" look since I'm turning 26 tomorrow(omg, someone stop the clock! I'm not ready to be 26!!!). I do have a few notes though - as far as painting the wall or clings, that's a no go since the walls are these weird wooding panels. And while I am game for a few photo frames on the desk, I'm not sure on hanging photos since most of my wall space is occupied. As far as the desk goes, I'm more then game for stuff like a place mat or building tray on top the desk but no painting since I'm thing about using a desk that was my grandfathers. And I am very up for ideas for curtains but nothing that's like dangly chains since I don't want the cats playing with the curtains. And as far as storage/display items for the desk, I'm also game but please nothing super expensive. And while I am willing to use Lego's to make displays, I do not want to have to glue, cut, or paint them. And speaking of diplay /storage/photo frame stuff, I am open to Goodwill, flea market, and garage sale buys so you don't just have to talk about items that are only available now. Thanks
  4. My honest thought is this: IF Lego wasn't having problems that need to be dealt with first such as cracking parts, prices jumping yet sets aren't worth the price, PPP count padding, there problems with the wave 12 cmf's, and Lego CITY becoming a Lego POLICE with a little bit of other stuff, I'd be game for a reality Lego show even though I'm not a huge fan of game shows OR reality tv. Do I have problems with Lego police stuff? When its getting to the point that's the main headlight every year, YES I do have a problem. Lastr time I checked, a real city just doesn't have police in it!!! But the problem is Lego is having a ton of problems at the moment and yet instead of addressing them, they are more worried about approving 4 movies after the "success" (I put in quote since its a debatable topic) of TLM, pumping out more of the same with Lego sets combined with the rare new themes that look decent, and now approving of a Lego reality show!!! Lego needs to put a stop to that and focus on getting quality up so people will buy Lego's and thus Lego movies and shows could exist! Will I watch the show? Maybe but like I said on my fb account, it'd only be under the reasons of there isn't anything else on. While there are at least 7 different shows that I do watch on tv, there's only 4 that I'm worried about watching the whole thing and the other 3 I record are b/c I only want to watch bits and pieces. There's other stuff I record but I only predict an additional 3 items(ncis, the Simpsons, CSI ny) will be on long term since I'll take and start watching a show then lose interest and switch over.
  5. as fas as buy color AND type, that tends to be a step for when you outgrow the size of container you have for a part and have to break it down or too many of a single color takes up space. Thats the case for me as far as as a specific size AND color part storage. I had to do that to 1 x 2 and 2x2 beige tiles buts that's BC I have a small stockpile from the last time I went to a lego store. Got at least a couple handfuls each of those in the batch of grab bags I got. and b4 anyone says anything, yes the last time i was at a Lego store was when gb's still existed and that's b/c theres no Lego stores in my state. And I had to move my red and sand green tiles to a separate stack on drawer. Could I put all the 2x2s in one container? Sure i could but I don't want to start hunting under a sea of beige, red, and sand green to find one of only a small handful of other colors I have. Could I put the 1x2s in with the tackle that I have my small 1x2ntile collection in? Sure I could if I want to have use up the only free spot big enough for the dark beige tiles that are stored separately. As far as axles go, they are stored in four sections. One container for the three and larger and one for the half pin/half axle things(along with other pins) plus the 2'ers that are in my room and a couple sections in a plastic container that's upfront as part of my portable set up.
  6. Sounds like today but you may have a wait on you. UK sometimes gets stuff b4 us USA people. To date this year, for example, the UK has gotten waves 4, 5, and 6 of the animal friends while here in the states, we only have gotten wave 4 and wave 5 is only now on Lego shop and TRU online plus a couple in store sightings.
  7. Uh... I almost never a boxed set strictly for parts unless its on clearance! The only full retail buy I can think of at the moment is the spare lemonade stand but that's BC there wasnt much difference in the cost of buying a second scooter online vs buying the whole set.
  8. Except for the fact that I have neither the time, patience, or the money for moc'ing buildings; I'd be doing it already.
  9. I could use the laugh. Still am having problems with my partials and I'm down in the dumps
  10. You can never know for sure. That Lego Simpsons episode had booze served in coffee mugs.
  11. Ehh, everyone could use a little toilet humor from time to time
  12. Maybe they use a tree or fire hydrant or maybe they just pee behind one of the many vehicles in Lego city.
  13. As far as sets I've bought for parts, I don't have problem since I mainly have gotten spare friend animals or mixels for part. Unless I get a boxed set on sale, I almost never buy one for parts. Biggest to date on sale is the 2 shellraisers I got on sale for 18 each. One was assembled as is and the other was parts. No problem there. Most recent boxed set at full price I can think of is I got a second lemonade stand b/c I wanted another scooter. No brainer since at the time I got it, a scooter was running at least 5 or 6 bucks on average plus shipping and supplies cost which is at least a few bucks so getting the whole set seemed like a better option. The only new set that I have that I am hesitating over opening is a set special to me. Its a series 1 planet I won in worldlego's giveaway.
  14. Have you tried Walmart? Last time we swung by one, they had at least one box of the things.
  15. Depends on the case. I went with two sets of the "series 5 animal collections" which have all three animals and had 15 bucks VIP credit from when I had problems with my PAB order and I got free points so I got a total of 6 packs for a whopping 15 dollars and change. And as a bonus, if I'm looking at it right, I should have another 5 buck credit earned since I had 300 and something points. If I want any additional series 5 figures, I will buy them in a store but at least now I don't have to be worried about missing out on them altogether. One set will be for assembly and display and I think that I might use the other sets with a project I'm doing. Series six will be the same way but its worth it since I won't miss out on them at least. The next year animal thing they will be doing won't really be a problem since the stores around here are WAY better at getting boxed sets in vs the bagged stuff.
  16. I forgot to mention that. I do remember there also being a target sighting on top of the TRU sighting. Nada at the wamarts around here but no surprise. It took them until within the last month to get wave 4 in!
  17. I did do a bit of buying this year hut no where as much in previous years and this year is about wrapped up for me. Only things left are series 6 animals if they show up this year, a buy through a Lego guy, a question mark on the target holiday poly pending what it is, and checking for good clearances. Oh, and i do need two more sets of sterelite drawers for organizing stuff. Next year the major things will be Lego friends stuff and mom and I really want JP items. Mom is normally just into the mega bloks hello kitty stuff but JP is really catching her eye. If they do a doctor who line, I could see my uncle going over to the Lego side XD
  18. Um series 6 I agree on but wave 5 is on Lego shop! I put in my order for two of the wave 5 collections last night.
  19. Seems like a person picking up the book would make sure the figure was included. And its should be REALLY obvious in cases where someone pilfers the whole plastic bubble!
  20. I think I'll go for the vet clinic if its a good price, the mama and baby bunny set, and the foal set. Debating on the hedgehog rescue. Probably. They seem to be addicted with releasing more and more police stuff, more vehicles, only a little construction and fire guys, and ignoring critical stuff like BUILDINGS. What are the robbers supposed to rob so the cops can stop them? Yes I am perfectly aware of moc'ing a building but sometimes a person just wants a pre-fab home.
  21. Sorry but I tend to speak my honest opinion/thoughts oin a subject.
  22. Discovered wave 12 at Walmart today. Didn't get any since they were 4 bucks there and I was after a different thing instead.
  23. Does anyone have a still shot? YouTube loads really slow on my tablet so I'm not doing much yt watching.
  24. The brick factory instructions are working great. I am up to the "bag 2" page minus the awnings since I only can find 1 walking so I need to get more. Mostly been a color substitution build so far except for some cases. I don't have the horse or dog so I'll be using different molded versions and no Sophie figure so I need to pull a different figure out. And I traded the 2 x 2 round tile of the scale for a 2 x 2 jumper so if I want to have an animal on the scale and on display, it won't fall off. Plus instead of the light blueish 16 x 16 plates and 8 x 16 plate, I went with 3 green 16 x 16 plates since that is what I have available. Oh, and since I don't really do the sticker thing, even if I had the right ones, I choose to do with plain tiles for the most part. And instead of the square sign post for the computer, my clinic now has a round computer screen thanks to a spare round clip sign post. And instead of the flowers being set up with the friends flowers and insects, I went with the standard 3 stalk flowers. Its actually a pretty interesting project.
  25. Mb and kero aren't cheap knock offs dude!!! MB is a company that could be a major threat to Lego in the future if mb would corner a few areas lego is lacking in like the city building market/excessive police problem. Quality is nearly as good as Lego but a lot cheaper, they are making some epic parts like the gender bender plate, and they have taken two different things Lego has done(spongebob and friends) and taking things up a notch as spongeBob mb's and my life as mb. Plus they make hello kitty stuff and my mom loves it. As far as bootlegs go, I'm all for them. they are making really epic stuff at a much better price and I have my fingers crossed for a figure becoming a bootleg. IF I can find the set its in on sale or they release it in a CMF pack, I'll go legit. If not, then bootleg it is since I am not willing to cough up 70 bucks on a set I don't like that much to get one figure and I'm not willing to pay 15 plus to buy it seperatly.
