does anyone else feel that their minifigures are multiplying on their own? I just sorted out most of the minifigures I have in my room into a 6 drawer, 12 inch by 12 inch by about 2 inch deep and they're taking up the better part of just shy of 4 of the drawers in the baskets and that's not even all of them! There's a 5th drawer that holds about a dozen more figures plus loose torsos, legs, hair, heads(including blanks) and one for the space helmet collection i'm trying to complete. then on top of that, i can still think of no less then about 4 areas that have stashes of even more figures! plus on top of that, there's another 6 minifigures and a minidoll in my post dental work pile and then I did a small lego shop order so there's another 2 minidolls on the way(the free bakery one and the Rapunzel poly code)! they are multiplying faster then bunnies around here! I've got to get another sterelite unit and cut out the co-ed baskets. Started doing it but i'm almost out of space to do it and i only have one more drawer that'll be useable after I move over a few items from the top drawer. Never thought i'd be thankful for the extra baskets and short containers I got.

I recently began reorganizing a lot of my collection. Bricks and plates have been divided up by size or share a drawer with baskets and different parts that were cramped in misc categories have their own section. I've found categories for transportation, tires, slopes, overall almost anything in my collection. Minifigures need a reorganize but until i can afford another 6 drawer sterelite unit and another tote to hold baskets and containers not in use, i'm out of luck. However, i am dealing with the challenge of "oh great, where did i put (insert part name here)". i mean seriously! I can find countless parts categories that they can work in but now i can't find specific parts that need to go into a new category! For example, i know that i saw the 1 x 3 tiles b4 but now i can't find them now that i now have a little tackle box thing(like the individual containers) for my 1x2's and 1x3's. I found a 1x3 white tile hiding in the old 1x2 container but i know i had more then that! About the only thing i can think to do is try my 10 drawer rolling unit that i have in the living room since all sorts of stuff seems to hide in that thing! EDIT: no luck on the 1x3 tile hunt. Found 4 1x3 blues in my cart but i know i have more. The color loops storage case i got from dollar tree that was used for the 1x2's in the past didn't stay empty for long. Just divided up my small 1x1 round tile collection into it. Then the spot it used to take up in the 10 drawer case that i got from lowes a while back now holds the 5-point gold nuggets.

I've seen them on ebay a lot lately. Honestly, I actually like that this is happening! Instead of people having to shell out a nice chunk of change to by individual real licensed lego figures online or buying an entire set when they mainly want one figure, they can shell out only a little money for a knock off that looks really good. Thing is that these days, an increasing number of people seem to just want the minifigures, especially licensed figures, and not the whole set and lego is not adapting to the changing times so they are leaving themselves with a fairly large gap in the market. What's happened is that someone realized this and they cornered that market. Hate to say it, but lego has to watch themselves since between the clone brands stepping up their game and the knock offs of figures at a WAY fairer price then the real deal on the secondary market or buying the whole set mainly for the figure, legos got some MAJOR competition

Thanks. Deep cleaning was done on Tuesday and did the molds yesterday, now's the waiting game for when the partials will be done b4 the actual major work.

technically mom paid but i chose out the items to keep me busy after my dental work is finally over with.. I'm due to a deep cleaning next week, molds the following, and 15 extractions and 2 fillings plus getting my partials next week so i needed some stuff to keep me busy. i'm 25 and apparently got the bad family genes with teeth. fun, fun, fun.: I got the trash chomper, flying ice cream machine, the mini off roader, mini backhoe, the 3 lego friends animals series 4, a PAB order, and the free friends poly. All except the PAB is in but i can't open the sets until after d-days one and 2. then i did pretty good on VIP. I had 5 bucks that i used so i got the stuff for 110 and change then since i had 46 points left over plus the 220 i'll be earning from double VIP, i'll have 10 bucks credit on my VIP soon. even better, there's talk of a vacation happening over the summer!!! I'll get to go to the lego store and i can use my 10 bucks VIP credit and i will probably get myself another 5 bucks VIP credit! Can not wait!

Crazy Store Markup Stories
SweetiePie88 replied to Ridge Montante's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I used to do toys r us for the sales, but I've stopped going. Last time i went, the prices definatly seemed a bit more marked up then normal. I tried to buy 2 mixels and a orange mega blocks moshi moshiling that had a 2.49 tag on the shelf(i am not a lego purist and that would of been the cheapest way for me to get orange) . I tried to price match the mixels and the guy at CS didnt seem to know his head from his rump doing it, the moshi rang up at the wrong price(3.99) and the woman checking me out seemed clueless. I wound up just leaving the stuff at the register and getting out of there. -
Closest to the "mystery bags" are lego store grab bags which came in plastic bags but lego stopped doing that about 1.5 years ago.

I managed to find reusable labels! I can't think of the name off hand but I got 4 packs of 8 at 2 bucks a piece at Walmart
-
Can anyone recommend good quality, but not to expensive, erasable labels that I can use on plastic drawers? I have 6 of the 6 drawer(12 inch x 12 inch) sterelite drawer units and I really need some labeling for some of the drawers.

Great... I thought the packs wouldn't be out for another month and a half so I spent the dough I had on the side for the packs on 2 lego orders.

Posting is broken for me

Don't know. The old laptop has FF since my uncle would use the laptop sometimes and he prefers FF but i never really used FF outside of a few things and EB wasn't one of those. -

I think it's I.E. acting up. the same thing starts happening to me randomly. like one second i'm typing normally then it's all skippy. I have to write messages in the address bar then copy and paste them here when that happens. -
there are some part moves that make no sense. at times its like the parts are just there as indication of about where another part should go even though the place holder has no use or the random placed part that seems to have no value in anyway. i mean seriously, i got 2 copies of the lego shellraiser on sale(one one day and then a second the next when i realized that it wasn't on sale for $30 but for 17.98) and assembled one and there's just this random inverted 2x2 round blue dome thing just stuck there. It's not holding anything together, it's not supporting anything, it can't be seen in most play or display cases, so what is it doing there?

Walmart will except items back w/o receipt but they take down your info to monitor your number of returns.

My plans are build more, get organized, and buy less. Looking good so far. I haven't been building a lot but at least i'm trying to, Organizing has come a good distance this year, and my buying habits are currently being worked on. I am still buying some stuff but i am thinking a lot more carefully about my choices then b4.

MAY???? are they trying to have the series fail? September - march(when it originally was sad to be due for release) was long enough but till may is way too long.
-
I thought the lego animals penguin, turtle, and tiger were supposed to be out today but there were none at tru or target and they still aren't on the lego site. :'(
-
i bought 2 to test the water and for the parts(zaptor and zorch) and have plans of grabbing shuff and debating about another zaptor. Definitely getting at least 2 orange dudes for parts and probably 2 of gobba for parts on the next wave. and i deinatly want wave 3 purple guys, scorpi, and torts. the sets are definatly going to be a good part pack source for some people. gotta be easier(and cheaper) then Bricklink hunting. i think they are interesting as sets, valuable as Part packs for a lot of people, and a fair PPP count taking into account the unusual parts and colors in the waves.
-
any chance it could just be them restocking? Series 11 at the target appeared to be a near full new box but when i began feeling for the 2 i wanted, i felt tons of mountain guys, elves, gingerbread guys, and a couple other types yet about 5 figs that i found zero of. i know that it's on a 2 full set cycle but the problem is that even for a 120 box, there was defiantly a lot more there of certain types then there should of been.
-
Problem is that lego's gotten extremely secretive about the figures until last minute lately. I mean really, come on lego. the simpsons figures, judging by some past wave spacing, could be out in the next month or two yet there's no images of the full wave ! I know there's the par-image of milhouse and homer but that still leaves 14 characters and there's countless potential for the figures.

top thing on my list is that I'm seeing an increasing number of cracked brick stories online, especially to the tune of with bricks and cheese slopes plus loose and/or breaking minifigure parts plus there is definatly reports of some color problems that some people really don't appreciate with set prices the way they are. and i think the fact that it seems like instructions are just randomly shoved in boxes of some smaller sets are another big annoyance. i get that unless they are film wrapped on cardboard, there WILL be folds and creases but the street rebel i got a couple days ago is an example of a big issue. it's like whoever put it in the box curved it like a magizine and shoved it in even though there is room for it to be FLAT in the box. and then there's the quality of product factor. we are paying more and more for sets flooded with itty bitty parts. i get that details are great in a set, but there is a limit and what am i supposed to do with a bunch of cheese or stud parts when/if i decided to raid the sets for parts? except for maybe 4 of each with vehicles I make on the rare occasion , i can't think of when i use them
