  1. ive either gotten or know i'll be getting the mountain hut(open and assembled), the series 3 animal polys(got to open 1 early and got the puppy but haven't assembled it yet), and the razcal flier set. Then I have a mystery box in my bag. I asked for thunder wings but not sure what's in the box since it's a box in a box by the sound of it.
  2. Probably but there are people that would still want to import them.
  3. if they'd do series 12 AND the MMORPG at the same time, that would be a bad move. That would have two lines running at the same time. Even if the MMORPG is meant to run longer for people to get codes(not saying it is, just hypothically speaking) it'd really need to be launched in it's own time frame so it won't start off its run fighting for attention with series 12. people who want to complete all figures from each wave would be in a jam. Who really knows how long either wave will be out and some people have a limited budget so that'd be a major issue for them.
  4. Just something ive been wondering. does anyone else have lego CMF burnout? I used to be wild about the figures, but now, it's really not really on my radar anymore. I had something like 30-40 on display in my cabinet but now only about 18 remain and the rest of the space has been replaced by lego friends animals. They used to really be something special and magical to me but now they are just coming out too fast and it's really sad to hear cases of people having problems actually completing the series. I get that with some stores, the figures from some waves, lets say series 10 for example, can hang around for ages or MIGHT have random packs show up well after they were thought to be gone so its not a problem 4 everyone but in some stores, it's a case of they are gone pecan goodbye. target around here
  5. there's the movie line out now, they'll probably have the simpsons out by February or march, mmo in may, and series 12 in October.
  6. Just do color substitutions. That's what a lot of people have done. Like if it's light Bluish gray, try light old gray.
  7. a few sets at a couple targets but I think that's mostly a result of the bogo50 sales but the regular lego stuff was really cleared out at one target. About half an aisle's worth gone.
  8. sweet! Definatly going to go after some in the near future then.
  9. I was asking about the quality of the old, solid figure ones since I'd like to have some figures I could use more often that aren't as prone to craking problems. the parts I have are mostly from 2005 or later with a few late 1990/early 2000 ones and I've had more then one case of cracked sides or wrists.
  10. Arms? But the old torsos I'm talking about, like this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=old012 don't have arms, they barely have shoulders.
  11. I'm asking about Torso, old - item # 17 and legs, old - item # 15. It's just that lately, I've encountered more then one case of loose legs or cracked torsos or wrists and I'd like to have some figures that are a little more sturdy to put on display on things I build. thanks
  12. only 2 items. a 3-in-1 mini since I haven't had time to open it. And a witch polybag I got about a month and a half ago since I knew I'd want a second one and knew the odds of me getting there for clearance were against me(I was right).
  13. I used to be focused on city and creator but then I became not that picky. Now I'm trying to focus on what i really need and cutout the excess buying. I bought a few different small things and have a few things for the start of the year to test a the waters. currently thinking about focusing on friends and filling out areas in my collection that is lacking.
  14. You don't need a CC. You can make a paypal account and it links into your checking accout. That's what I do.
  15. Today I got the an ewar flyer poly and a x-mas train poly. And I also found the series 3 animals that I have on my holiday wish list so a family member grabbed them 4 me :D I'll have to wait to get them but I don't mind.
  16. It's not really part of the main line. The main line is numbered while the side journey ones aren't.
  17. agreed. I originally was planning on just getting 1 in my planned Lego shop order early next year. However, now that I know it isn't from the main line, i'll probably wind up going for a few more dollars worth of PAB stuff, a series 3 friends animal if it's on sale and still in stock, or put it towards another series 4 penguin instead.
  18. I think they win over scala and belville since the parts are way cooler.
  19. thing is that as far as colors, I am almost never picky when it comes to building and I prefer the multi color builds to uni-color since I think it looks more interesting. So I don't need bright lights.
  20. I am currently trying to make my own little lego nook in my room. I've started my "need to buy" list and started my lego nook funds. my only challenge is that I don't know what type of lamp would have a gentle light and not a harsh lot. a google search has only resulted in lamps made out of legos. Anyone has any suggestions? I'd looking for something no more then about 30 bucks since I have a limited hobby budget and the nook items i'm getting will be running me about $100. thanks
  21. Honestly I don't like this wave at all. Here's my honest 2 cents: these figures look really bad. Many are just recolorings or slight redesigns of other figures or they look like figures that little kids would piece together or are designs like lego was running out of ideas. When I first saw the pics, I didn't like them at all. I tried the "walk away and come back later" move to see If my thoughts changed and they didn't.
  22. I heard she's planning something related to the Wizard world but set decades b4 the HP saga and not connected to HP at all.
  23. It's a hot wheels car that you can actually put lego minifigures and bricks on. The brick show has a review on it. There's 2 versons, a mostly yellow one and a mostly red one. I got lucky and found the red one in walmart. there had to be well over 150 cars in the section yet only 1 Fig rig. I haven't had a chance to open mine yet though.
  24. I think there is a pretty good chance since the current popularity levels of the line seem to be dropping off and the licensed way seems like something lego would do to try to keep the series alive. The next 3 waves of series 12 Lego movie, 13 simpsons, and 14 lego mmorpg. 1 licensed, 2 that could be debated as licensed themes. as far as my thoughts on it. I really don't think it'd be a good idea. Seems like it being licensed would mean the figures, which are already 3 bucks a pack and kind of pricey as It is, would have to cost more due to licensed theme fees. Honestly I used to really be into the figures but got burnt on them plus got further turned off with the mr gold thing. Not sure if I'm going to get any figures in future releases and the concept of licensed themes is not drawing me back in. and there'd also be a potential issue to actually creating a licensed theme CMF line. Lego has a licensed theme for sets but could they actually get the permission to do CMF bags? The problem is that if CMF's are actually sets or not, like are series 12 and 14 licensed themes or not, is highly debatable.
  25. depends. Sets can go anywhere from immediately being used to being assembled and displayed or stored for months or even the rare case of years. I have a lego tractor, for example, that is special to me(set I got from my very first lego store B&M store about 3 years ago) so it's still assemble. But the city forest police station I got maybe a month ago has mostly been dissembled for parts for projects or parts to be sorted and stored. Only unassembled items left are the robbers' atv and the helicopter. With mocs, it also really depends. Sometimes they are immediately taking apart if it doesn't come out right, but they normally don't last long with the rare exception. Last year I got the blue roadster and turned it into this kind of almost golf cart looking thing during the fall of last year and it's still together now. Then today I began work on a tow truck made out of a lego garbage truck and i'm not in a rush to take it apart
