I think mom has a bit of crochet thread to spare so I'm defiantly going to look into that. I am working on modifying the lego garbage truck set I got about a year or so back into a kind of tow truck and I just used old sewing thread(stuff I had for sewing class 7 years ago) as string since buying real lego string isn't an option. But I doubt the thread will hold up for very long. Got lucky finding this thread(no pun intended) via google.

To be honest, I think they are heading the wrong way. There's to many short lived themes or sets coming out, sometimes 1 or 2 waves for a theme and maybe a year on the sets if they are lucky, and not enough long lasting themes. I recently looked at fall and winter 2012 catalogs and I couldn't believe just how many of the sets or themes don't even exist anymore. And there seems to be increasing focus on Minifigure detail which to be honest is not something that's very exciting for me. I really don't mean to sound like an oddball but I've found that unprinted torsos to be something i'd want way more copies of over the fancier print torsos.

Does anyone have any screen saves of the images? I don't see any photos when I follow the link and have no luck with yahoo or google images. My hobby budget is a little snug and I want to be able to start making the right choices on what 2014 stuff I really want and what I can pass on. thank you

I need to make a correction. The witch poly was from target, not walmart. I also bought lego LOTR ds at gamestop for $15 and tax after my birthday coupon discount but I am going to have to return it sometime in the near future since the graphics are extremely poor, even for a lego game, and is causing some pretty bad eye strain for me. :'(

there was no packaging. He was just assembled in the 50 cents bin. I checked the inside of some of the parts and there's lego logo markings

I was debating about doing that but if lego would have a really cool exclusive winter themed poly, I wouldn't want to use up my $5 vip on my order since i'd just need the 3 series 3 and some PAB parts.

No problem. It'll take me about 15 minutes to get some photos taking with my xl then i can upload them. I should of thought about that in the first place.

Here's my problem. I discovered a bionicle in the 50 cents bin at the flea market today and I got him since he looked cool. He appears to be mostly a combo of a vastus and toa mahri kongu figure. I really want to have him standing up right but he's too top heavy because of the weight of his "hands". His left "hand" is a bionicle weapon cordak blaster and right is something that I haven't identified yet but kind of looks like a cross bow that was pulled to far back and where the arrow would be has a transparent lightsaber like thing going most of the length and there appears to be a battery compartment. the "hands" are attached via technic pin type connections to a technic, axle connector 2x3 with ball socket, open sides and if possible i'd like to find parts that connect to these. Problem is that I can't figure out how to narrow down the 13 pages of results down to hands. Only major requirement is that it's not a super rare, htf, or expensive element and looks good with dark green and a kind of metallic sliver color I did try searching around bricklink but i couldn't get any hits outside of clawed feet elements and i want to explore my options. and parden the bold on this line. IE is being a bit of a pain with this post at the moment.

I got a container with random lego bits mixed w/ megabloks and some random toy parts for $2 and what appears to be a bionicle figure that's combined from a few different figures for .50 from the flea market. Then I got a second witch poly from walmart. No luck on Friends series 3 animals though :(

Does anyone know when the official street date is for the figures? I have the first 2 series plus a series 3 puppy found at 1 target and now that I have the money for the other figures, I want them plus debating on a second puppy but couldn't find them at the closer target(bunch of series 1 and 2 though) or the closest walmart(plenty of series 2, no series 1).

.but the reason it shut down was lack of revenue from "target audience" which would mean they just took into account the kids and not everyone. And they didn't even give it a fair enough change to succeed. The game took at least 4 or 5 years to develop yet was only open to the public from October 26 2010 and the announcement it was shutting down on january 30, 2012 came just 13 months after opening . Thing is as far as adults, they would seem to be the biggest part of certain things like the CMF buying since it seems like adults are the ones going after a lot of army building figures or figures for their BL store.

I am not sure why lego would choose to approve of a CMF based MMORPG. Lego universe could be brought back with improvements such as a few bug fixes and tie ins to real lego sets like maybe a code system like moshi monster figures. I could see it being something to exist for years to come for lego fans of all ages. But I am unable to wrap my head around a lego CMF MMORPG. Some people have started to lose interest in the series and I am noticing that the CMF 11 discussion on the BSF forums is almost dead and the EB one isn't fairing much better. The future of the CMF is uncertain which also doesn't make for a wise business move since the next 3 lines of series 12 Lego movie based(could be called a licensed theme since it's movie based), series 13 is lego simpsons(licensed theme), and series 14 based of the lego MMORPG seem to indicate a lack of ideas. cmf's have been around since the summer of 2010 and I think they may just be reaching the end of their life span. honestly I've really lost interest lately and decided i'm more interested in the lego friends animal line instead since they aren't rushed out so I can get the ones I want. I completed series 1 and 2 and I have the series 3 puppy with plans of completing the line(plus another puppy) this weekend.

tonight I set up a lego bricklink order with goodies including minifigure parts, a few vehicle parts, minifigure parts, etc. This afternoon I got a lego series 3 friends animal, the dog, and I have plans of getting the "parrot" and the fawn this weekend.

Could be that people have a lot on their plate. The series 13 being a licensed theme is not setting very well with some, there's talk of next years themes that have people distracted, also some people are burnt out on the series and could have stopped collecting or scaled back, could be tied up with personal projects, could have other hobbies to worry about, etc. personally it's a matter of I got 2 series 11 and that's it for me. Once I started sorting out minfigures into the new storage, I realized just how much money I spent on figures that I don't even need.

I really want photos of overall what's coming up next year so I can start deciding what I really want and what I can pass on.

I agree with you 100%. While the lego CMF series has had a wonderful run, I am unable to see the line continuing for much longer. The movie line, simpsons, and MMORPG seem to almost indicating that they are running out of ideas or they are trying to revive the line since those seem like they'd be special edition bags instead of main game bags..

Current talk is series 12 will be based on The lego movie, a rumor of series 13 being based off the simpsons, and I recently heard people recently begin to say #14 will be for the new MMORPG

If the sets would have more generic figures like plain torsos and plain heads, i'd love ones like that since I do need more of those types of parts in my collection. If it's more of the super detailed printing that we've been having lately, then no since I already have to many of those types of parts. My estimates put my minifgure collection at around the 400-425 mark(including unassembled figures) yet only about 12 plain torsos.
