I would like to recreate the Lego heartlake vet set with parts from my collection. Only problem is that since I need to use my tablet since it'd be easier to put it in my room vs a laptop, I need instructions that can be used without downloading them. While I did find some great looking instructions on Lego.brick instructions. And will use then if I have to, I'm hoping I could find something that runs just a little smoother. Yes I did try eBay but no luck and while there are a bunch of results on bricklink, the problem is I just did a pretty nice trade with a BL member so I'm pretty set on a lot of stuff for the moment. While I do want to do another order down the line, the problem is that not only do I have other things I need first, but also there's nothing I need bad enough to justify the cost of an order. And no, trying to find it second hand really isn't an option since I don't find much lego stuff at second hand stores or flea markets and the only cases of finding an actual set were a troll mountain fortress(no instructions, no trolls and missing about 3 other figures) plus the bl guy who does flea markets. And no I doubt I'd find the vet used any time soon from him since his kids love Lego friends. And no garage sales aren't an option since I'm not an early bird.

While I do think it is wrong, I really can't blame people in one case since Lego was just asking for it. Look at that series 1 to 10 CMF book. They included a toy soldier that is one of those army building types. Problem is its only available in the one book and ZERO sets, bricklink average price is 13 bucks a piece, 19 buck retail for the book(mine was 12.34 at Walmart though), and the future is unknown on the figure.

Probably whenever they bother making more packets. Either they didn't bother making enough so they were short stocked or people went bananas buying them since Lego left us waiting so long plus they do work well in the jungle line. However seems like a company thats been around this long SHOULD have the common sense to make extra packs of figures when they would work well with something else. I mean yes sure they run a risk of having left over animals but unless the Lego friends line is ending, theyll have PLENTY of chances to use up the animals. They could be used as real animals, stuffies, piñatas, statues, displays, maybe even a food dish/item, etc. As far as wave 6 goes, I don't know what's up with that but Lego is really pushing their boundaries with me. The UK got waves 4, 5, and 6 this year yet the states got wave four and we are only now getting wave 5... Kind of. I've only heard of two posts with sightings in actual stores and the stock online is gone pecan goodbye already! I guess I'm stuck trying to track them down at target or Walmart unless toys r us has a bogo 50 thing. I mean I know i should be patient but when it gets to the point of the UK having wave 6 out at least 2 weeks b4 we even get a single wave 5 sighting, that's when you really get on my bad side. And yes I know that I could always go after another set but the problem is as fas as Lego brand building sets go, I'm pretty much done for the year expect for wave 5 And 6 friends, maybe if a good sale/clearance comes up, and maybe the holiday poly at target pending what it is. And yes i am aware of the Halloween poly and I already got 1 batwing and 2 arctic flyers.

O-O Omg!!! As soon as wave 5 becomes available again and I have they money, I'm going on a buying spree!!! At least NOW we are on par with the UK.

The twist I'm talking about is the whole "movie plot turning out that the whole thing we saw is nothing more then a creation by an 8 year old and the father being more concerned about his precious Lego city then letting his son enjoying the city" factor. Plus I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how can there be Lego sets in the movie that were released as sets when you usually would think of licensed sets as being something that was created AFTER the movie was made and based off of scenes and not something that already exists.

I'm talking about the twist that occurs after Emmet jumps out the window at lord businesses place. But I can't deny the fact that honestly I was having urges to bail very early in the movie(you know that scene where he's about to call in wyldstyle) since despite the fact that afols play a major role in keeping Lego alive, it was like the movie was designed for only the 5 year old fans!

Ahh. THAT would explain why I didn't see it. By that point I was gathering up my trash b/c I was about ready to vamoose(I REALLY hated the plot twist). Only reasons I stuck around were I was hoping for cool credit scenes plus my mom wanted to see the movie so I was trapped.

Agh! Maybe I'm over thinking things but the double decker couch makes no logical sense! Ghost virtruvirus and lb never showed up on the couch or by the car in the movie, why did they included an emmets car thats been over used at building events, what's with the waffle and sausage?

Yes. For at least a week now. MEGA annoying. Been waiting for months for lego to cough up friends wave 5 in the states when the animals have been known for at least 5 or 6 months yet after only within a couple weeks of series 12 cmfs being announce, they are available in the states!!! Including tax? Yes, about 4.29 a pop, not including tax is 3.99 a go thanks to the mmo code included. Great if you like the game but bad if u don't. I've played in both closed and open beta and I'd rather have LU back. I abandoned the s.s. mini figure after I got the 2 cmfs from wave 11 I wanted when they were released plus one wave 11 scientist I found for a buck in may. Skipped Tlm figs since I didn't care for the movie, the Simpsons due to the price, and now 12 due to the price. I prefer the animals anyway. As far as life span of the series as a whole, who knows how long it'll last. Its past the point of being a short lived theme but not quite at the point of being a long life span set.

But I don't want the animal packs to go! I really love them. They bring great parts and great colors to ones collection.

EPIC! Maybe with BOXED sets vs bags, lego will try to get them out in a decent time frame.

Im stkarting to wonder if lego's even going to bother getting series 5 out in the states or are we just going to have to buy it overseas instead!!! I checked at 2 walmarts and a target and its strike out city. 1 wm and the target have a brand new box of series 4 animals. the boxes are the ones they put on shelves like the mixel boxes . The other wm has one shelf box and an end cap unit!!! Yet here's a weird factor. Despite no wave five at that second Walmart, they have my life mega bloks sets that I can't even find on a google search!!! Lego is REALLY tap dancing on my last nerve now. I could understand the bags being spaced out this much if the waves were made up of many sets but with 3 sets a wave, that's not many. I might even be able to be fine with it if I had a big buy list but I dont! I have to bl order, series 5, and hoping to get a couple of clone brand sets that I want. Next year is standing at a question mark on one tlm set(mostly pending on what figures will be included), a couple friends sets plus whatever animal sets that they'll release. I could even be fine with UK having wave six already IF the states at least had series 5 but we don't! The best that I'm seeing is that it looks like Lego online MIGHT be getting ready at SOME point to EVENTUALLY get wave 5 out since it looks like one series four is sold out and two are on check availability while a couple series 5 can't be found on the Lego store only if you use google but is showing as being unavailable in the states. OK, I could even be fine with the lag IF we were in a time of the year with a lot of releases but we aren't!!! We had a few things in august, a few poly releases going on between TRU and target, and isolated cases of series 12 popping up early in the states( street date is for next month) and that's it pretty much it for the year.

Seems like what you need to do is to narrow down what you buy to what you really want to get and also try moc'ing a little more. As far as organizing, what type of method are you using? When i starting organizing my collection, i had a basic system like bricks, plates, minifigures, animals, etc that was easy to deal with and expanded from there. as far as the buying goes, that sounds a lot like what i was doing last year. What i did this year was cut back on a lot of my buying, worked on organizing my parts better, and began looking at rebrickable more and next year looks like it'll be the same thing also.

Ty for the images. I just looked through them... I'm not seeing any wow factor in the lego sets coming out but i will get a few of the lego friends sets though. However, i am concerned if mega bloks will appreciate lego swiping the design of their MB's pony care set for their own use w/ lego set 41089.

Agreed. There's all sorts of stuff the could be doing. I used to be a giant fan of Lego city but the problem is that I am bored of the line. Its turning into a cops and robbers theme instead of being a CITY theme and I'm pretty sure there's more then just police and bad guys in a city. And I understand that moc'ing a building of my own is a plausible option but until I dig out my room(again), round up some parts online, and possibly secure a rolling drawer unit since my technic and minifigures have had a population explosion on me; I'm out of luck in the moc'ing depo.

um... any chance it could just be that the deer is really popular? And the penguin, tiger(not lion),and the turtle were released in late-ish march of this year so i guess lego isn't planning on coughing up wave 5 just yet OR the packs are really popular at your store and they needed a second box. Is lego getting to lazy to get an animal shipment to the states or something? It's been about 6 months since wave 4 and we are waiting on 5. B4 that was 6 months from 3 to 4. Yet judging by what i heard, the UK got 4 early in the year, 5 by the summer, and they just got in wave 6!!! There is NO excuse for this! However, here's a confusing issue i just discovered. I go on lego shop and search for the macaw's fountain(one of the series 5 animals) and nothing. I google macaw's fountain and it leads me to a lego shop page but no option to buy. WHAT'S GOING ON HERE???

Agreed! one of the latest examples i faced was with one of those chima animal fighter sets, the lion one. I was at Barnes and noble to look for a book and i saw the lion set that i've been seeing and i decided to grab it. Big mistake! most of the parts that looked printed were stickers, the way the lion was designed made him look way to skinny and i can't get the mixel hinges to agree at all. Would it of killed them to use technic hinges and click hinges??? but i think the thing that peeves me almost as much is legos friend animal release schedule for the states. we went from september to late march b4 we got wave 4. It's now september and we are waiting on wave 5 while not only has the uk BEEN having 5 for at least 3 months but they now have wave 6!!! if it wouldn't be for the neat animal molds and parts, i'd think about abandoning ship on the theme.

What about a lego themed building. That'd be perfect for a lego city. It could be 3 floors tall. There could be a floor that's a lego store styled layout, a floor that could be like a big builders area, and a floor with maybe the history of lego. Or what about a dentists office or a doctor's office?

i think it has something to do with buying sand blue grooves being much cheaper then sand green so people are changing the color of the set in the Version they are making.

the 4 bucks a pack thing? I'm not! 4 bucks for simpsons i could MAYBE understand since they are licensed but series 12 is no in my book. The only reason lego's selling them for this much is that they include some code for that lego MMO. I MIGHT be able to accept that IF i actually liked the game but i don't. I'm trapped in the pirate cove unable to beat the pirate captain in the pirate trials and i know from my closed beta days that the other area is pretty much impassible unless i get a crew of people and i've never seen more then 2 or 3 other live humans in the area. And from the other things i've seen in the game, i'm not really impressed with it overall.

Who knows. This year's been nothing but a huge waiting game! One of the very few things i really love are the lego friends animals. I had to wait from september last year clear until late march of this year just for wave 4 to come out and now it's late august and i'm waiting for series 5. Seems like making sure that there'd be a stoong holiday season would be critical but instead the smaller TLM sets are being held off until next year, the creator and juniors has some really cool sounding sets but that won't be til next year, and who knows what else is being held back.

i didn't mean that they should never release big sets but they could of thrown in a few smaller set into the mix to be able to satisfy a wider variety of budget ranges. I have no problems with larger sets if lego also tries to be fair(or at least fair-ish) to the little guys also. . Up until i just came back on this thread to read new replies, i didn't know my post had submitted. Problem is that EB message posting is NOT agreeing with my I.E. at the moment so it's a wrestling max to get posts written out and submitted. I was also supposed to add to the " With a clone brand hobby, occasional book buy(mostly used lately), and a video game hobby on top of the lego hobby and the rare blind bag buy if i find something i really like; i don't have much money to spare at the moment" part if the thing wouldn't of gone wonky on me. i was going to add that even though it sounds like a lot, there's not much in each category I want. The clone wants are only a maybe on a couple small sets, books that i want at new price is one small order of Uncle john bathroom reader books, video game hobby is one want and one waiting on reviews after it'll come out and might want. The blind bag buys are very rare since It's mostly trading card and sticker packs lately. And the lego is the series 5 friends if they ever get here, lego friends 6 whenever lego gets them to the states, one lego order that i'm planning on trading items to get the price down, debating on saving up to splurge on a lego set i really want, and i REALLY want to save up for next years wave TLM stuff that'll defiantly be budget friendly. However though, i do have to skip on some buying to at least be able to create a small xmas wish list though and be able to buy a few gifts for my mom, uncle, and aunt.

no it wasn't!!! People with big lego budgets were in paradise while the people with small budgets were left out in the cold! With a clone brand hobby, occasional book buy(mostly used lately), and a video game hobby on top of the lego hobby and the rare blind bag buy if i find something i really like; i don't have much money to spare at the moment. As much as i want that construction mech thing or the bennys SSS, i don't have the money for it! Plus i fail to see the logic with having big sets released this month but not just putting the smaller sets in the same wave.
