1. For the climbing frame you could try adding a pulley like mechanism,in theory you should be able to use the crane hook to raise the crane. I also made this in the hope it can be beneficial for a powered tower crane,I suggest using worm gears in order to keep the size down. The idea you posted above would require extension cables and have cables running through the turntable which is not a good idea. Download LXF Crane Idea
2. Very nice crane, how about adding a jacking system/climbing frame. They normally add concrete ballast around the base to help support it.
3. This is going to depend on your building skills,if you are new to building then carry on the way you are. But if you have some experience then you should build a nicer looking cab,The crane could also do with some work.
4. I don't won't car flagships.....there so boring unless Lego actually incorporate some advanced functionality,a moving engine just does not cut it with me,or does a gearbox a six speed gearbox. Well Lego have have just redesigned the 16 tooth clutch-gear along with the other new gearbox elements,I do not they are going to make new wheel mounts,or a pf buggy motor.
5. The 8455 was 80 uk pounds and look what you got....a ton of pneumatics, athough studless was still quite new then. Now days the models are filled in a bit more so 100 pounds seams a fair price.
6. I am looking forward to you adding all those hoses.
7. I use my hands, pliers, bradawl and my teeth.
8. I don't think it will matter as the top of the piston is sealed from the cylinder. There is a rubber seal at the end of the piston.
9. Efferman has a design very similar on shapeways. http://www.shapeways...signer/efferman I cant see lego making a new style diff like this.
10. I do not see a need myself,if you need a stronger diff you can build a custom one. Remember that Lego Technic parts are not meant to be "abused" by the way some builders use them in some of there creations.
11. Nice Job on the instructions.
12. Nice simple car,not bad for a beginner. For embedding videos normally I use the top address bar and just past it in,some time it take some time to work.
13. I don't speak German....I just used google-translate to translate the model detail. I see Amazon have removed the 2016 items from the listing.
14. You are only saying that because it has pneumatics.
15. Could very well be...but you do get rescue subs which could be translated as "bots". Agreed,I think we are missing both the high end sets for the first half.
16. Could they not give him some proper eyes? Barbie dolls have more realistic heads on them.
17. I just translated what was there,I have changed it to 42047...I think your right.
18. Prices are the same on the german Amazon - they are in euros, I said they are in euros so that must mean they are in Euros.
19. lego Technic 42044 - Jet 9.99 Euros lego Technic 42045 - Rescue-bot 14.99 Euros lego Technic 42046 - Escape Vehicle 19.99 Euros lego Technic 42047 - Police Interceptor 19.99 Euros lego Technic 42048 - Go-cart 26.99 Euros lego Technic 42049 - Mining loader 39.99 Euros
20. If you plan on using that frame above, then you could consider changing the thin 3 long liftarms at the back to 4 long thin ones. That will give you something to mount the rear wheels too,It is nice to see a different face in the technic forum,I look forward to your build progressing.
21. How much alcohol gets consumed by moderators per day while on "duty" here on Eurobricks?
22. I meant MLcad,LDraw is just the parts library.
23. I think this bike looks better in white and red.
