Sloping towers - Brochs / Nuclear Cooling Towers
Alasdair Ryan replied to LegoKeno's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You could try using hinge plates which are raised off the base-plate by a stud. The stone texture could be made by slopes and bricks with studs on there faces, with tiles placed on top. I don't stay too far away from a broch, they are common in the highlands of Scotland where I come from. -

You can use a LA bracket or smiler at the end of the dipper which would allow a full rotation and a open/closing shear using a worm gear. -

I think you should consider making the tracks a bit higher,if you use the small wheels/rollers with pin hole, they should work ok. -

Just load it into MLcad. Add some auto-steps in MLcad and away you go.... -
I suggest you go on Google and search for "Dluders site:www.eurobricks.com". I will agree with you that the sides of the car are a little bit too square and plain. The front, back and top looks really nice and well thought out.

Driftworks ae86 [wip]
Alasdair Ryan replied to RLCLAB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Welcome to Eurobricks, your off to a good start, the chassis looks nice and strong. In my opinion I would consider using a wider wheel,as the ones you have on it are a little thin.
