Since the BL order is already shipped, I'm waiting 'till its arrival to post the pictures from the complete building, maybe in a dedicated thread. This afternoon I've "worked" on a way to make a nice cabin.. project failed, but now there's enough room to host: - a single sitting minifig (in a 2x4 studs space) - a desk with a "leather" writing table, with a lever as a pen - a couple maps - a couple lanterns I know, it is not much... and the minifig now can't lie for "sleeping", but I'm pretty happy considering the size of this boat.

"Moc": Jungle Outpost / I want the Bluecoats back
Matteo1130 replied to Matthias's topic in Pirate MOCs
Nice tip :) I don't thin I'll need all that minis, now i just have 1 little ship with a bluecoat commander and 3 BC officers with some sailor and a large flag.. and a very minor ship waiting for the last BL order to be completed (I'll steal minifigs from my brother for that ) and another large flag: I think I'll be a BC minor officer ^^ -
"Moc": Jungle Outpost / I want the Bluecoats back
Matteo1130 replied to Matthias's topic in Pirate MOCs
I know, since I was born in the '80s, I've played a lot with the original bluecoats.. now even if I still have some old kit, my soldiers/pirates/islanders are very discolored and the redcoat are more available in stores/BL. I have to thank you for these thread, I've never looked at the collectible minifig series, so I didn't knew abaut the napoleonic soldier! Not an original BC, but al least now i have some more choice.. -
"Moc": Jungle Outpost / I want the Bluecoats back
Matteo1130 replied to Matthias's topic in Pirate MOCs
Hehe, it would be great to have a new plot of bluecoats.. I have only three or four from a caribbean clipper and others from my old and discolored sabre island. Now I'm choosing wich side fight for, trying to resist the redcoat faction.. -
This is to post some picture: how may I delete an old BS account to make another? edit: many thanks for the tips, I'll go for a 1 masted ship. Once found the way to delete the old account and make a newer one I'll post some picture about this ship and the progresses from the frigate, this isquite incomplete because of the lack of pieces (it will be completed with just a BL order), but the overall shape is well visible.

Hi all, I had these two hulls (bow and stern, no mids) in full grey after the splitting for the black top on brown hull in another ship... My first idea, after looking at the master index, was to "clone" the Seagull (I've always loved that MOC), but after some try I think I get something wich I found more interesting: the resulting (since now) has 8 gunports and a captain's cabin (great enough to store 1 or maybe 2 minifigs, orizontal). The question with myself is between leaving it a square rigged sloop or add a little mast to make it similar to the Beauty (Sebeus's), but doing that the back mast would be placed on the door to the cabin, as in the caribbean clipper. Is this realistic, or has every mast to sink into the hull? Sorry for the lack of pictures in my latest posts, I'll try to make an account on BS later..

Please, visit this link (on this forum), and you will find a lot of comics involving ships and scenery. http://www.classic-p...category/comics Actually I don't know if comics from Sebeus are hosted here.. maybe you can find those too elsewhere. Hope I helped you @edit: maybe I have misunderstood your question, if you are searching for "static scenes" reporting sailor's life on seas, you may find a good job searching for "the Beauty", by Sebeus, on this forum.

Your fleet becomes strong! Just try to make the gap between the stern and the sides a little less marked :)
-
Nice :) I've just destroyed my caribbean clipper to use those pieces into other ships...your version is absolutely fine!!
-
Nice lines, elegant construction. Like it so much.. great work!

Wow, your model is full of life and the look of the minifigs recalls of the early 1400 medieval sailors, wich is a clever choice for a carrack. Love all of it!
-
Nice, the only thing I would change is the position of the back mast. I would place it backwards nearby the sterncastle. All the other features recalls the original set in a huge shape, nice work!!

Did you use the word "comic"? :) Great work on this MOC, the sculpture is amazing!
-
Nice ship and nice diorama too! So many clever ideas..

Love all of it, is it the ship "picture" an official tile? Never seen it before.. -
@Matthias: do you use a reflex camera to make pics for the comic? I'm trying to make some short story too, but I can't get a bright picture withouth the flash, and with it bricks are too shiny. I usually see bright and natural pictures... just don't know how to get similar ones.
-
Simply...WOW! Great job, the minifig illusion scale works wery well, and the brickbuilt headrails and sails/rigging are full of the original LEGO spirit. All of the ship seems ready to be played with, but in the same time the attention for details recalls a model.. hope to see this ship again, involve her in a story would be great!

Wow.. try not to respond all together By the way, considering the little "wall" with the two doors on the bow to access de bowsprit (i don't know the english name for that area, reading O'Brian in italian is called "palmetta").. well, for that wall is it historically correct to leave the same color of the sides? I mean, my idea is to leave sides and "palmetta" in black color with the tan gunline and dark red gunports, and two cylindric "pillars" between the bowsprit in blue with yellow lines.. maybe this a correct color scheme? P.S. I've placed today the bricklink order, some right color piece will miss the same, but hope to post a couple pictures in a few days to help discussion...

Up! I'm back at work!

Looks great! IMHO the best MOCS on this forum are those who recall most of the original LEGO "spirit". This is complete, playable and still looks realistic.. hope to see it involved in a comic ;)
-
Love it! It might look a little simple, but it's quite complete and ready for making a comic if you want to.
-
As usual, great work on the (very difficult to me) little ships!

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Matteo1130 replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
AT-PT for the nice building technique in spite of the price. A kit I've never bought (even if I have mostly the entire classic trilogy collection, some piece in multiple copies) is the A-wing, illogically expensive due to the few and extremely common pieces. -
One of the best ships i've seen. Great job!
