The hands are tan, not light. They're already gloves, but yeah they are pretty similar in colour.

The hat, inidividually, isn't exactly cheap though. Seems like it would cost £4-5 to make an officer like that, might as well buy the new version outright for slightly more.

During the last EB visit to Billund we were told that Lego experimented with a new monorail design with children but it proved to not be very popular with them at all. It's not going to come back.

Honestly, it looks too stubby in my opinion. It could really do with being a few studs longer. Nice to see Sato is in it as well as Ahsoka, although rather confusing that her lightsabers are blue. Would have been nice to get a normal Phoenix cell trooper too.

This looks really good! Is the imperial insignia an official one or a custom? In my opinion it's a bit too small, but it has a lot of great detail. I like the screwdriver for the turret.

Most likely, but if it's in small enough amounts they probably let it slide. Still different from officially selling it. I hope not either, but we'll see. Stormtroopers have leg printing now anyway.

Stores may sell them, but doesn't mean they are officially sold. I'm pretty sure they're not meant to actually sell them. Although yeah, if the Disney line is successful (which it seems to be so far) I hope they diversify it and expand it to Star Wars. There are certainly enough minifigures to last several series. I would love more minifigs from Rebels, e.g. Minister Tua and Vizago.

I would absolutely love a Star Wars CMF series - would definitely give a way for Lego to release non-CW versions of clones and Jedi. Unfortunately, as others have said, I can't really see it happening. Occasional polybags are different as they aren't sold.

This is my favourite one yet! Definitely going to make some of these for my heavy assault troopers.

Oh bloody hell, the blue and grey Resistance X-wing is going to be £80?! How the hell are they justifying making it £10 more expensive than the last one? It's the same ship, with the same number of minifigures (one of which isn't unique, compared to the three unique ones in the last one, which also had 2 dual-moulded helmets) and a slightly different extra piece. Seriously? £10 more for 23 more pieces?

This is absolutely fantastic! As others have said, the interior makes it far better. I do love a good interior. The way in which you can open up the bridge to access the interior is really nice. I especially love the addition of Vader in the canteen. There is one thing bugging me far more than it should, and that is that with your senior crew! Your captain has the rank insignia of a commander, and your commander has the rank insignia of a captain! Does this not block the view of your TV at all?

In terms of Lego, illegal techniques are ones that put excess stress on Lego elements. A presentation on it. As for the original post, I've been arm switching and leg/hip switching for years. You may notice if you do it a lot that they will become looser.

I think that looks a lot better! Yeah, would've been nice for it to be the other way round!

Pretty cool model! The biggest problem I see with it is that the rear of the cockpit looks more like a TIE/fo than a TF/sf. A 1x4 trans red tile would be more fitting - especially if it was slightly higher.

It really depends on how badly you want it and if you're willing to spend that much. Personally, I wouldn't say it's worth it and even if I had no Hoth sets I wouldn't buy it unless I had more money than I knew what to do with it or I wanted every set. Unlike other UCS sets this, in my opinion, needs a substantial amount of modding before it can be a good display piece. It's much more a playset, yet the actual assault side is weak and therefore lacks playability too.

Because the new helmets with moulded visors are Resistance flight helmets! That said, this would have been a great way to add Alliance flight helmets with moulded visors. Also would have meant that Wedge & Wes could have had more unique faces.

Brickset published this from Lego concerning the Assault on Hoth. Even Lego seem to be struggling to come up with good points. "New and updated minifigures and return of iconic Hoth creatures" Well... new/updated minifigures is pretty normal. But it's not a reason to buy a set of this size. Nor are the return of wampas and tauntauns. "All the iconic Hoth movie scenes in one set" Yeah, minus the AT-AT. Which is no longer being sold. Also, this is a major problem with it. It's the assault on Hoth, do we really need the wampa cave or tauntaun feeder (which isn't in any scene)? "Awesome functionality and ability to customise battle play" This is an Ultimate Collector's Series set, not a playset (according to Lego). Why is this a selling point? This set really could help with first of all having the UCS status revoked. It needs more snowtroopers (only two for an assault?). Remove the wampa cave and tauntaun feeder. Make the e-web blaster smaller - it's hilariously oversized and takes up pieces.

It looks to me as if it should just be able to. I'm presuming the door can open slightly more than that and he just stopped. If it can't... well... that's a huge flaw.

The airport has some 50% off Lego... I now have more sets!
