Do you happen to have a picture of the heavy trooper's blaster and whether or not that can be made?

It's really hilarious hearing the actual actors voicing their characters with some of the new lines.- 201 replies

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Video Game Discussion

Yeah, you have to use enter which is weird, then I have no idea how to select things on the menu once you're there! I very quickly gave up and used my controller - much better! I really like the design of the megablaster for heavy stormtroopers, but I can't get a picture of it. Anyone got one?- 201 replies

I bought this today, took a little while to finish downloading. The PC controls are absolutely horrible and there seems to be nothing for the mouse at all.- 201 replies

This is really good! I especially like the mass driver cannon and the side entrance hatch.

Opinion of Modding / changing / whatever-ing Old sets
Calanon replied to Awkwardfryingpan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Unless you actually modify the pieces themselves or sell pieces, there is no harm in modifying sets to your liking. It's the beauty of having Lego as a hobby. -
The Senate Commando BP was pretty nice as it's the only set with non-CW style Senate Commandos. They're really nice minifigs. Other than that, I agree - the Geonosis BP would have been substantially better if it had two flametroopers and two desert camo ARF troopers. It does feel unlikely we'll get many more PT BPs but I am definitely holding out for a 501st BP and maybe a phase I clone BP too.

[MOD] Lego A-wing from Set 75150 in Return of the Jedi Colors

Looks good! I'm really hoping they do release that new piece in white soon, -
Is it time for Lego to update their blaster rifle models?
Calanon replied to RetroInferno's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'd like a new hand blaster, without the scope. Similar to the old ones, but the plastic on those wasn't as good - very easy to damage the plastic when making minifigs hold them. Sabine's blaster pistols are way too big in my opinion. Otherwise I find the current blasters generic enough to use for a variety of different SW blasters. If you really want specific and accurate ones, well, Brickarms exists. -
This is the set pricing I am most angry about - there is no reason for it to be £10 more expensive at all. It's absurd. Especially since they're both being sold at the same time. Why would a parent buy this set for their child over Poe's personal X-wing?

A lot of the initial images posted to this topic had customised pieces, usually with some printing removed or a custom decal. I see no reason to suddenly switch to being purist only. I enjoy seeing well-done customs and it adds more variety and life to the topic.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Calanon replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
There isn't really any way to distinguish pilots when they're in flightsuits to be honest - there is little need for it. There are rank insignias for the FO, but that's army and nothing for FO starfighter corps. Since they're on the arm they'd be covered by the flight gauntlets anyway. Unfortunately that's kind of the way the Empire and First Order are. -
I don't think that altering the tone would change the sets too much, however with Kylo's shuttle that seemed quite a late design but since there was the Rogue One leak with names and vehicle information I feel like it's mostly going to be final. I really hope the second wave has a cheap set or two with stormtroopers, why are Lego being so stingy with them?!
-
3rd party producers for minifig accessories need to make sure they don't infringe on licensing and so on. That said, Brickarms gives the correct names to different SW blasters (the exception being the F-11D being called the Foe-11).
-
It is very frustrating that he has no leg printing. All it requires is the sandtrooper leg printing, but wkth both sides having the kneepads. Have them in brown and it would be perfect.
-
Probably because the set already has a unique, normal pilot? It's a cool minifig but I don't see the point in adding extra normal pilots.
-
Yep, definitely getting that minifig. Leg printing would have been nice, but oh well. Some Y-wing pilots in RotJ do use that style of flight helmet, as do the B-wing pilots. Some A-wing pilots do too. They are different style of helmets but don't get too hung up on which one matches with which starfighter (besides, only three styled of helmets and five Alliance starfighters in canon).
-
Even as an informal name I don't really like it. It's... a little too specific compared to sandtrooper and snowtrooper. Like, just the shore? Why shore? Unless there is something else, or maybe if water-based troops, but aah... I don't know. At least they look interesting and should make good minifigs.
-
Shoretroopers? I... I don't like this name very much. News of a new pilot minifigure makes me happy, I always want more pilots.
-
Any potential updates on this? It's been months! I'm honestly really looking forward to seeing this complete. I also may have an idea in mind for something in the future for you...
-
Hasbro? Think you made a mistake there. If you look at the Alliance pathfinders though tan is very much the correct colour for the gloves.
-
The hands are tan, not light. They're already gloves, but yeah they are pretty similar in colour.
-
The hat, inidividually, isn't exactly cheap though. Seems like it would cost £4-5 to make an officer like that, might as well buy the new version outright for slightly more.

During the last EB visit to Billund we were told that Lego experimented with a new monorail design with children but it proved to not be very popular with them at all. It's not going to come back.
