  1. To be honest, when they started adding the stud blasters I was quite surprised they didn't have the old blasters as well. It would definitely have alleviated many people's issues and best of both worlds. I did end up going to Brickarms in the end so I could properly distinguish units, but it would be nice if in battlepacks they had both options.
  2. It's pretty nice that they're all new. Is there a link to the cleaner pictures or is that the one from a few days ago? I was hoping for an Endor-style helmet, but alas. I can't seem them changing the over-sized goggles to be honest. Smaller, more accurate ones would be lovely but they'd also be thinner and a lot more prone to breaking. If only Arealight could make some reasonably-sized ones for us AFOLs...
  3. What the hell, no tow cable? 0/10, this build sucks!! This is absolutely gorgeous, the first version was so too but this is even better. I definitely prefer the rear of this one too, the lack of the underneath of tiles is very nice. I am looking forward to using your guide to build one of my own (but with a tow cable ).
  4. The thing with the x-wings is that they're a dirty white/very light grey. There is a light stone grey which might be suitable, but that's only used for technic pieces really. Medium stone grey, aka light bley, is a bit too dark for x-wings. There will always be slight colour inaccuracies when it's something like that as it's more of an inbetween. In the case of Kylo's shuttle, however... that's a bit more obvious. Nothing really springs to mind other than that, perhaps some older sets. The imperial officers having tan uniform in Rebels sets is annoying and canonically wrong, but there are many cases where it does look somewhat tan.
  5. These are really good! The cockpit interiors especially are great.
  6. Is that absolute, or possibly angle or something? Slightly annoying and strange if so. At least it isn't suddenly a case of white hips with printing (actually I'd like that).
  7. What's the difference? I feel blind.
  8. Ah okay I misread your post then. The only real difference is no ammo pouch printed and no pauldron though, which is accurate for at least three so I'm definitely not bothered by that. I'm hoping in the film it's two with pauldron, four without because then it'll be perfect. If Thrawn's eyes aren't actually red then I'll probably (when I actually learn >.>) make a custom decal with red eyes. I would be highly surprised if they got such a key detail wrong though.
  9. The issue with the 2016 battlepack was that the two stormtroopers had battle damage which is hard to army build with. I don't think anyone had an issue with the jetpacks. Where were people complaining about the plain stormies though? I haven't seen any... (I haven't been reading every post though).
  10. These look really great, and aside from Duel on Naboo (and even then it's a maybe, I would like Qui-Gonn) I want them all. Definitely going to buy two imperial battle packs as soon as they're out.
  11. Dammit, I'm going to have to miss this event then as the 23rd is my final day off of uni.
  12. Even if Revan is US/Can only, it should bring prices down for the rest of us. However... I seriously, seriously hope it's not US/Can only. It'll be a great excuse for me to buy a set again this year.
  13. The minifigs certainly look fantastic - the new officer does seem to be Moradmin Bast, but for some reason with a black cap rather than a grey one and a light-grey tunic for some reason. There's definitely also a lot of subtle improvements in the design of the Death Star Now, if only I was wealthier...
  14. Because they are confident in their victory. I am quite confused who the new officer minifigure is meant to be. I'll wait until I can clearly see the rank insignia, although it feels like a random officer that, for some reason, has light grey.
  15. What's wrong with the new cape fabric? And Vader came with the new cape in the TIE Advanced set also.
  16. Red, red, red, I think also more red. Of course, that doesn't stop them from potentially doing something different as they did with the Mon Cal Cruiser set, but my bet it will be red.
  17. This is seriously blowing the original away in terms of design! By the way, are the new centre cannons more stable in this version? Because on mine with your first design they always fall off.
  18. I'm going to say no. Looks exactly like the old one but with a different piece for the superlaser that looks worse. The window from the Emperor's throneroom looks like the old piece and I highly, highly doubt they would reuse it when they can use the new TIE-cockpit style piece which they used for the Final Duel set.
  19. What was everyone expecting the new Death Star set to be? I mean, yes okay it sounds disappointing but we haven't seen how it has been updated yet. Do people literally just want a giant sphere and nothing else? What new things do you want them to add for an interior besides rooms for key scenes?
  20. It could be, but that would require a new print. Could also be one with only two belt boxes, or single-breasted tunic and no belt boxes (no new print) or the light grey single-breasted tunic with one thing that doesn't seem to be a belt box, also no print. I say a new print because, whilst double-breasted tunic ans 2 belt boxes exists, no back and they've updated the belt box design. A new print would definitely be welcome though.
  21. Excuse me but I'll have you know I'd buy 4 if it came with a full platoon of stormies! But seriously, two seems reasonable considering all the other minifigs. We're getting a battlepack with two stormtroopers next year anyway.
  22. This is a fantastic TIE - one of the best I've seen. I particularly like that you have an actual viewport and engines, that's something I haven't seen much on other TIE mocs. Great work! The wings of the Imperial TIE fighter are the correct scale, however these wings are the correct scale for a First Order TIE.
  23. Some info regarding the new Death Star "(Rough) Google Translation: 1) **LEGO® Star Wars ™ Death Star (75159) = UCS Set** Many there have already suspected: The new Death Star is a set of the Ultimate Collector Series (UCS). But do not rejoice too soon, because it behaves here like the LEGO® Star Wars ™ Assault on Hoth (75098) Set. For me, this is certainly not a reason to celebrate. 2) **LEGO® Star Wars ™ Death Star (75159) = Play Set** Yes, the new Death Star is again a play set. As just mentioned, the joy is about the same as last discussion cause UCS set. While some fans will welcome another Star Wars play set, this may be for other fans one of the reasons not to buy the Death Star. The similarity of the model to its predecessor set (10188) is actually striking, even a Tie Advanced Hunter again belongs to the scope of the new sets. 3) **4,016 parts for 499,99 Euro** The new Death Star will have 4,016 parts. By comparison, the final Death Star (10188) consisted of 3,803 parts and included 24 minifigures. The new model will cost 499.99 euros, 80 euros more than its predecessor. I hope that this will change anything on price. 4) **Sales start on October 1, 2016** According to my information the LEGO® Star Wars ™ Death Star (75159) will go on sale from October 1, 2016th Together with the new LEGO® Star Wars ™ Rogue One Sets. Power synonymous sense because the Death Star quasi starring in the new movie. 5. **VIP presale from September 15, 2016** As we know from the LEGO® Store Calendar for September know two sets in the VIP pre-sale will be available from 15 September. The first set is the LEGO® Creator Christmas Train (10254) , the other set is the new Death Star. 6. **And these mini figures are** Like the last model, the Death Star again has 24 Minifigures, you can expect somehow to be even with the selling price. Here the designer in Billund certainly have again done a great job, because numerous figures have been revised to shine in a new outfit. My favorite is the blue Imperial astromech. I do not want to keep you in suspense, enclosed is the exclusive overview of the characters, which are included in the new Death Star: Grand Moff Tarkin Imperial Officer Imperial Navy Officer Imperial astromech Chewbacca C-3PO R2-D2 Han Solo Han Solo (disguise) Luke Skywalker (disguise) Luke Skywalker (final duel) Luke Skywalker (Tatooine) Princess Leia Obi Wan Kenobi Darth Vader Death Star Gunner Death Star Droid Emperor's Royal Guard Emperor Palpatine Stormtropper Death Star Trooper" Translation provided by /u/TheAnt06 on /r/lego Some thoughts: Yes, it's a playset, but so long as it's one whole structure like the last one I don't mind. Assault on Hoth was too scattered and too many independent things. If it's mostly an upgraded version of the previous set, so be it and I highly doubt people will hate it as much. There's plenty that can be improved with new techniques and pieces anyway. I'm curious as to what the difference between the imp. officer and imp. navy officer is. Maybe one is a crewman?
  24. /r/legostarwars It uses a gold bar piece... interesting. And another scala dish! But dbg again. The back sticks out a lot. Not quite sure what that rear compartment is beyond storage. I also am not a fan, the lack of depth is a big factor for me. That and it means it's really weird to use the headpiece with the goggles worn. At least they haven't decided to make a new mould like the Rebel hat with goggles where they were ridiculously oversized though!
  25. Hooray, you finally managed to join after all that hassle.
