  1. What else can you tell us? How about the frogs?
  2. I don't think any of us could really answer that for you. Do you need those parts? If not, it's not a good deal, regardless of the price.
  3. Bah, humbug. It's too far across the pond.
  4. TLG doesn't actually own anything related to Modulex. Modulex is a completely separate corporation. As I understand it, they evolved into a road sign company in Denmark. Do Lego parts have this much extra material left over? I don't remember seeing them spit this stuff out in the documentaries I've seen.
  5. I like the gray space minifigure. Ever since I got one of those gray helmets at a garage sale last year, I've wished there was a space torso to go with it. It would be really cool to have the logo professionally printed onto that torso. I like how you have the red minifigure standing on his head too. Nice touch!
  6. So when in the world is S@H going to have the Exo Suit in stock again? I have VIP points and a free shipping card for it, so I don't want to buy it anywhere else. It's been out of stock for a really long time.
  7. Since it started as an official Lego product, I think Modulex is ok. These molds were designed by TLG, and this is a product TLG no longer offers.
  8. It looks like their machine wastes about as much plastic as it uses for the bricks. Is that normal?
  9. The trial production has begun! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDZ-j2g491c
  10. Is this the one that attaches to the baseplate better? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=14518c01
  11. Chrome on Mac here. I'm having problems too. It keeps telling me the Exo Suit is out of stock.
  12. I don't have any of the new ones, but I just read the other day that the new one is easier to put on baseplates. (Whether that's true, I don't know. It doesn't look to me like there's any practical difference.)
  13. I have a red cowboy hat. It's probably the rarest part I own. When I bought mine, there were only two being sold in the US. Mine is in like new condition too. I love it.
  14. This is largely how I feel about it. The fort is really the only exceptionally crappy set here. The small shipwreck set looks a lot better than the 2009 cannon set. Like you said, the BB is basically the exact same quality of ship as the BBB. It's not really a step down, and it looks like it has a better selection of minifigures. I'm really hoping they release a huge fort set, like the quality of set the 2010 Imperial Flagship was. There really hasn't been a decent big fort since the '80s, whatever that set is called that has the cargo sailing ship and whatnot. I think that's what most AFOLs are really hoping for.
  15. Eh… I would say that there's a large consensus among AFOLs that the set designs are pretty poor if the final versions look anything like these. But, of course, that doesn't necessarily mean the sales will be bad. I expect a lot of people will buy these even if these crappy designs are final because there will probably be a lot of good minifigures.
  16. Personally, I'm completely against the idea of modifying parts. Sticking to the current assortment of parts is one way of inspiring creativity. And ruining parts just seems like a sin to me.
  17. Too bad TLG hasn't released more chrome parts. That would look awesome with chrome parts.
  18. Does anyone have the 2009 Pirates preliminary images? It would be good to compare them.
  19. Skull's Eye Schooner also had a lot of red in it.

  21. If this is the optimal design, why do the first two pirate ships they made look better than the newer ones?
  22. Is that really what eBay says? Any person with half a brain would design the system to increase the priority of a case if multiple (clearly distinct) people report an item. PS — I find it ironic that the "Lego Guardians" Facebook page features a photo of a clone brand.
  23. I actually prefer the old brick style Technic sets.
  24. Very nice! I'd like to see an entire arbor made this way.
