Great to see Minas Tirith made it, now let's hope Lothlorien does the same and may be... who knows!

Honestly I'd already be over the moon if one Minas Tirith set is made. One Gondorian soldier is all I need

Lol! Nice one!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
KristofBD replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
@herky and AFOlguy: four in already. I would not say competition is tough in this one, but still enough time to go for other projects to qualify. -
Whether you like the show or not, it is likely that we will get a lot of clever minibuilds to evoke the interior of the room. That by itself is an important asset.

The king is truly a great minifig! I'll also be buying the Egyptian warrior for sure. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

My thoughts exactly. A natural history museum being colourful, is like an Oxford history professor wearing a colourful Hawaii shirt and flip flops. Just doesn't fit -
LEGO Ideas Discussion
KristofBD replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A big cheer for the Big Bang Theory set - as a scientist I'm very much looking forward to that one. And that will also mean more female scientists (I hope!), which is also a good thing. -
To be fair, the difference between submitted ideas and actual sets has been quite big in some cases (e.g. Ghostbusters).

@Nuju: Congrats on the progress and momentum, it would be great if you have a second week like this! I actually like your real life model over the digital ones. I also think it has a more classic lego feel. The others are more detailed sure, but hey to me what matters most is that at least one model reaches the 10.000. And yours has the momentum… If the other manage to reach the 10.000 as well, perfect, the more the merrier. I support all of them.

Looking good - love the new 'beard' and the design! Best of luck!.

Nice one, I like your Lannister soldiers! Overall it captures the look and feel of King's landing quite well. Good job!
-
Truly amazing work. Fairytale style that can only be built by absolute top Moccers.

Great sets, great figs - I especially love the variety of the bluecoats (+the female soldier ) I'll be buying all of these!
-
Did you see all the sets? If so, is the female imperial still there (or has she turned into the governor's daughter)?
-
Well if the minifigs look great, can you tell us a bit more about the bluecoats? And what minifigs are on the ship?
-
Great reviews! Thanks a lot!

@The_Cook: Haunted House (Monster Fighters)?

Great roof technique!

[Petition] Save LEGO the Lord of the Rings
KristofBD replied to Trunkbass's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Just do both. Sad truth is: the Minas Tirith has attracted more votes than the petition. My guess: the Minas Tirith project is also supported by non-LOTR fans, while the petition is only for hardcore fans.- 298 replies

Not to forget: all three of them are exclusive (only one of them is a variation on an existing minifig)! Not to mention that the Elrond fig can easily be used as an army builder (bricklink).

Thanks!

I seem to have missed the pictures?

Ha well, the two soldier's fort sets are going to be ok I guess. I quite like them so far. Also, bluecoats and a female imperial, that's going to be fun!

Woow lake town really looks nice when you attach the bell tower! Also great to see the two new orc facial designs.
