    Thanks LEGO-Freak! Especially the alternate (distressed) face is actually quite cool and different. Shame about the torso, but hey at least something is different.

    Additionally, it's a bit funny that they provide a side-print for the legs of Clara, but not the two Doctors... But hey that's about the only 'flaw' I can detect: this is a superset. And have never even watched the series

    Well it is good to see that there is a new sub-page for lego Lord of the Rings. I just ordered all three fun packs. Mainly symbolically to show that there is an interest in the theme. I'll see if I can post comparison pics of the faces.

    My thoughts exactly. No Western theme, no pirates theme, no new other historic theme. Alas.

    I don't care for the vehicles. If the knights look good or ok and we get some sort of battle packs, that's good enough for me.

    I agree with that one: it is after all the third LOTR set to reach 10,000. May be we do not get an extra set, but it might get more Dimensions sets (cf. Portal, Ghostbusters, BTTF).

    Well the existing series/licenses hardly got any new molds did they?

    Third year in a row that I wont be buying the Winter set. Shame: I really liked the four first buildings!

    They experiment and make calculated guesses, which is actually a good strategy: maximize your exposure to 'Black Swans' (unpredictable but explainable events). Moreover, they do always run these things by focus groups it seems. Let's see how this theme goes, I do hope it is still somewhat Castle-y. Steampunk is ok, but KK revisited... pff no thanks. I guess I am mostly interested in seeing what new molds they create. Let's hope they are reusable and not too over the top.

    Great review! Not my cup of tea, but I feel LEGO did their best with all the dual molds and back printings. Now it's time for a new regular series.

    Oooh an Eowyn and Faramir team pack would be great! Seriously, I will buy any LOTR dimension pack. A gondor soldier would be great as well, but I will be happy with anything new!

    Excellent! Love the style (your Mormont is better than the one that inspired you) and great details on the snow, tree and 'keep'!

    Story I do not really mind, but clever Interior design is crucial for me - and man the last two sets really delivered on that front! PR and DO were excellent sets imo. Let's hope that trend continues!
