I do enjoy a good swoosh now and again. And I have a lot of road vehicles as well, so vrooming is pretty common.

Oh, believe me, I have found some obscure films in the course of my research. Ever hear of Sword of the Valiant, Supergirl, or the 1983 Hercules movie with Lou Ferrigno? Looking at my schedule, I'd like to think I've managed a healthy mix of high-profile and lesser-known stuff. Also, glad to have another fan on board! -
So for the past few months I've been working to get my own webseries up and running. It's something I've thought about doing for a while and I'm glad to say things have started to fall into place! The Adaptation Nation is a weekly series that looks at bad, strange, and goofy Hollywood adaptations of otherwise good properties. The first video I did was a review of Get Smart, which you can see below. You can watch the rest of my videos on the Youtube channel here, or leave a comment on the Facebook page here. Either way, have a look and see what you guys think!

Good, good. I've also got a Pick-a-brick box sitting around and an eye on the Joker Steamroller. With some luck I can fell three birds with one stone. The perfect crime!

Does the MM promotion apply in-store as well or is it just online?

LEGO Ultra Agents 2014

Holy crap, that Hurricane Heist. Just... that Hurricane Heist. I didn't know the villain vehicle could turn into a mech, but I'm suddenly very excited that it does. Loving the hover-bike, too! "Baseplates? Where we're going, we don't need baseplates!" I've held a torch for Agents since it left us, and I'm really excited to see what else the new line promises! -
Huh, I never thought to use the Zod helmet for Firefly, but it totally works! And well done on capturing the game's best boss fight so well.

Wow, the Arctic sets actually look really impressive. I'm sort of getting a "first twenty minutes of National Treasure" vibe from them. Seriously, though, these are different enough from the usual City fare that I might just pick up a couple. (Also, am I the only one who has Johnny Horton's "North to Alaska" running through his head right now?)

Python Parrot. Don't know how long I've had this or who gave it to me, but I'm guessing it came from this post.

Pining for the fjords? What kind of talk is that?

I don't mind all the attention Ol' Cape-and-Cowl's been getting (I'm playing favourites here), but it would be nice to see more variation on DC's part, and I think the B: TBATB approach would be a smart one. I think the Superman set in the 2012 lineup was definitely the right idea. It allowed them to show off different characters while still being fairly recognizable to a mainstream audience. If they even just did a bunch of sets with Superman and another hero, it would be an improvement. I'm not much of a Superman guy, but I'd take a Lego Brainiac if it were offered. And you can argue they're sort of doing it already, with the Aquaman and Flash sets. Flash is, I think, slightly less-known to a mainstream audience, and Aquaman is seen as a joke character (which is total BS). So, yeah, the Brave and the Bold approach is definitely a good idea. Although, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there rumblings of a GL set a few pages back? If that comes to fruition then we could take it as a sign that they're ready to start (and possibly already in the process of) branching out.

It makes me so wonderfully giddy that they included an inanimate carbon rod.

This about sums up my reaction. I still have just about all the Agents and Agents 2.0 sets on my shelves. Looks like I'll have to make some more room. -
I love it, it's very silly. Also, "The plumage don't enter into it, my man! It's bleedin' demised!"
