  1. I'm terribly sorry about my delay in replying Thank you all for your kind words, I'm very glad you like the B-59!
  2. ICE PLANET IS BACK! My latest build is an armoured vehicle decked out in Ice Planet livery used by the peaceful men as a mobile research laboratory. Ice Planet 2002 was a subtheme of LEGO Space introduced in 1993 and marked by a very cool color scheme: white, blue and trans-neon orange. Even if I've never played with these paceful guys (at that time I was a teen with other interests on my head) I've always appreciated this series. The ground vehicle is not equipped with weapons but with a lot of retro space components. Ice Planet are in fact engaged in secret researches about renewable energy rather than interplanetary wars. The canopy opens to expose a detailed little interior with such an assortment of retro-tech computers and equipment. More info and pictures here. I hope you like it The Ice Planet vehicle joins the other space armoured vehicles I built in the last few years: 1) Space Tank in Classic Space livery; 2) White Tiger Futuron Tank; 3) UFO Shado Mobile Evo; 4) B-59 Blacktron APC. Thanks for stopping by.
  3. Blacktron is back! Hello from Italy! Tonight I share my latest build: a big, bad and totally black armoured personnel carrier. It's based on U-59 Explosive Truck from Joe 90, a 1960s British science-fiction television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson (the same producers of U.F.O. It's called B-59 where B stands for Blacktron, in fact this six-wheel APC is the new and lethal groud vehicle of Blacktron. The little ATV on the right is based on the Amphicat, a six-wheel-drive, skid steer amphibious all-terrain vehicle manufactured in the '60s by Mobility Unlimited Inc. of Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Amphicat was also used by Moonbase Alpha personnel in the television series Space: 1999. Back view and tank entrance. The interior with many details. This time thanks - to a friend of mine who is a pro-filmmaker - I produced a presentation video of the B-59. Below on YT. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by! B-59 on flickr.
  4. Fill 'Er Up! A while back I presented the Bugatti Type 35 Grand Prix pictured being unearthed in an elderly farmer’s barn. This time the little Bugatti is ready to be "fueled up" in a period gas station. Back in the twenties gasoline was sold in quite simple shacks, at times they were drugstores, at times they were pharmacies. What it's sure the early gas stations were very different from modernist or art déco ones. Recently Blocks magazine featured my Bugatti in haystack with step by step building instructions (below) and few days ago I uploaded the pics on my flickr photostream. So if you can't buy a classic racecar you can build it from LEGO! Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Santa is a Rodder... Hard to believe but Santa is probably a Hot Rodder and this year he has changed his classic sleigh with this snow-rod in bright red and gold. I think he's having a lot of fun with his new machine I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  8. You're welcome, thanks for your kind remarks, very appreciated! Thanks Beverly! Cheers! I agree with you, I'm so happy a B2B company has finally chosen a different advertising, and they are very happy about that. As soon as I get the copy of the magazines I'll post the pictures. Thanks and merry Chrstmas! Thanks a lot man! Thank you! Grazie :) You're very kind! A lot of people, when seeing this, have said the same thing...I think it really looks like a real warehouse ;) Thank you!

  11. The right forklift for every circumstance. My latest build has been commissioned by a german leading pallet truck and forklift manufacturer. I've built the entire line up of its truck range plus three different warehouse scenarios: unload/upload, storage and picking scene. Every scene is fitted with the right forklifts. The three different subjects are the advertising campaign of the company and in these days my work is featured on many logistic and transportation specialized magazines. It's been very challenging and even funny building all the pallet trucks and forklifts and the company has been really satisfied by the work. Below few photos. Unload/upload: Storage: The entire line-up in all its glory : More info and pics on my flickr. Thanks for stopping by and Merry Christmas to all of you Eurobrickers!

  19. "Barn Find" As a petrolhead I've always dreamed about finding a classic car hidden for years in an old barn or shed. And that is what is called "Barn find". My latest build showcases two car-hunters discovering a classic Bugatti Type 35 Grand Prix in a barn. Close to the blue machine you can see the old farmer with his dog showing the treasure, even if he doesn't know its real value. And the french beauty looks really in shape. The Bugatti Type 35 was the most successful of the Bugatti racing models, the famous "pur sang". Introduced at the Grand Prix of Lyon on August 3, 1924 the Type 35 was phenomenally successful, winning over 1,000 races in its time. A few days ago a 1925 model has been sold for over €1.4 million at the Artcurial auction in Paris. Thanks for stopping by. More pics and info: flickr

  21. Fill 'er up! My latest build is a jump into the glory days of gas stations, when full service and free oil changes were the rule and the local station was a gathering place for neighbors. My brick-built gas station is inspired to the Shell one located in Tucson (Arizona) and it’s packed with every details you’d expect to find. It showcases an elegant Art Déco architecture completed with curved corners, a tower in the middle, a red outline all around the station and the inevitable Shell writing on top. The build is three in one: the diner on the left, the garage/workshop on the right and the fully-equipped store located in the middle of the building. A look at the back of the station reveals the three locations with many details and the different characters. Outside there are two period gas pump with a beautiful Lego shell on top under a curved canopy. All around you can find tanks, signs, tyres and other stuff. To complete the work I've built a red stepside pick-up truck, a tan Hot Rod and a reddish-brown roadster with some troubles (it's housed in the garage indeed). It was on my wishlist long since and finally I've found the time to built it as I had in my mind. I'm sorry for posting my gas station here with a little delay Thanks for stopping by. More pics and info: flickr
  22. Thank you and sorry for my late reply
  23. The Takehito Yamato Coupé I saw this classic Hot Rod on Chop & Roll magazine few months ago and I was stricken by the uncommon colour (PPG 1936 Cordoba Tan) and by the smooth design of this Deuce. Plus its story was really cool: built in California and shipped to Japan where its new owner lives. Japan has a thriving hot rod scene, and many cars have been bought and shipped there. This coupe, however, is the first being built to order then making the trek across the Pacific. Takehito Yamato contacted Walden Speed Shop, based in Pomona Ca., after seeing his works in The Rodder’s Journal. Takehito wanted a traditional hot rod, and while that may be essentially what he ended up with, the details are what really sets this coupe apart. Inspired by the Takehito Yamato history I built the tan Deuce with all the details you’d expect to see in a brick-built scale model. To complete the work I built a brand-new show-room full of vintage stuff. Below the broken-down view showing the red Chevy ZZ383 with aluminium heads in all its glory. Below the Deuce with the magazine where I read about its story. More info and pictures on my flickr Thanks for stopping by.
  24. Thanks @JDL1967 This gas station in now at the National Automobile Museum Collection Louwman (The Netherlands) where was placed in 2004. I think there are other gas station like that in The Netherlands but I don't know where.
