  7. It's Christmas Time...Santa's Cottage (on LEGO IDEAS too) It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas and as usual in this period it's time for a Christmas themed creation. This cozy shelter is the home of Santa Claus, who is preparing his world tour for delivering gifts. It's called Santa's Cottage and you can support it on LEGO IDEAS too. If you like the bizarre Santa's Cottage please consider to give it a chance of becoming an actual LEGO IDEAS set. You can shortcut straight to LEGO IDEAS platform using this handy link: https://bit.ly/Santas-Cottage-Norton74 Santa's Cottage features a classic Xmas color scheme, an uncommon shape and an unconventional doors/windows style. The main feature is probably the asymmetrical roof with a very sloping shape to the left. The woodshed is located under the excess roof. The red/white/black color combo is simple but effective, and the snowy trees in the background match well. Last but not least the door and windows are round, a shape rarely spotted on a cottage, but quite common in Hobbit houses. Santa, who is coming home from a relaxing walk, has also a nice off-road vehicle painted with a color scheme matching with the cottage. You can spot it on the right. This is probably my last MOC for this year and I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  14. Theo's Trabuchet fishing hut The Trabucco (Trabuchet) is a typical and ancient fishing machine from the east coast of Italy. It's made of wood and consists of a platform into the sea connected to the coast by a tight bridge made of wooden boards. From this platform, two (or more) long arms called antennae stretch out suspended some feet above the water, supporting a huge and narrow-meshed net (called trabocchetto). My little Trabucco is the home of Theo, an old red-bearded fisherman who loves spending his days fishing and preparing the nets. Every now and then some friends visit him by boat, since the medium-azure hut can be reached by an unstable ladder starting right from the sea. Today Pablo is docking at the pole near the Trabucco, he has come to visit his friend Theo. Enjoy!
  15. Thank you very much @Agent Kallus! And thanks for your suggestion but I can't move the post :( Can you suggest me someone who ask for about that? Maybe can @kabel help me moving the post on his sub-forum? I posted many of my previopus MOCs on his sub-forum. Thanks!
  16. Thank you very much @Slegengr, I'm very happy you can appreciate all the little details. About the fur is the "bearskin rug" from Duplo. I love that piece and I used also in my past builds such as the Stilt House. I agree about the broken reddish-brown pieces, they look perfect as wood chips.
  17. "Sweet Tooth" Cabin I recently saw the Netflix series Sweet Tooth and, while I'm not much into TV series, the first episode gave me a brilliant idea to build a new cabin in the woods. And so here is the house of Gus, the half-deer "hybrid" child main character of the series, and of Pubba, his alleged father. There are a lot of details and "part usage" that I have used in my previous builds and I enjoyed putting them all into this diorama. Gus has the head of the faun from CMF series 15. From behind you can see the ears and a hint of horns, just like when Gus was growing up. The diorama consists of 5 small shacks that can be joined together and create the shelter of Gus and Pubba. In the background there are a series of trees of different colors and with different shapes. The whole build is placed on a base made mainly of dark tan wedge plates. On the right a deer shyly appears, Gus thinks it's his mother, if you've seen the series you know what I'm talking about. Hope you like it!

  22. Magda's Garden Shed Every time I visit a garden shop I am fascinated by the mixture of colors and shapes of the plants that you can find there. I really like that atmosphere especially in the old rustic shacks. I tried to recreate that kind of location by building a barn-shaped shed surrounded by flowers and plants. The inspiration came from a drawing by a Japanese dioramist that I really appreciate. The large tree that sprout up from the roof catches the eye and it's the leading element of the entire scene. The Garden Shed is the kingdom of Mrs. Magda (can you spot her?), a friendly Spanish lady who has retired to the countryside with her funny cat. She spends her spare time taking care of the multitude of lush plants and flowers. The diorama is full of details and strange pieces, have fun finding them. Hope you like it!
