Wonderful models, especially non 4x4. Graverobber looks so long, low and flat, like it a lot!

SBrick General Discussion
zux replied to Nofer89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I still wonder if it will be possible to control Sbrick with any BT game pad, similar to PS or Xbox? Tried registering at social.sbrick.com, but their reg form is just overkill for for such minor forum.- 780 replies

[MOC] Custom 4x4 Pick.up
zux replied to Lucio Switch's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yummy, looks very good - like the form and proportions. How does it crawl? -
Not sure which country you are in - LEGO provides different support level, depending if the are official stores in that country or not. Waiting for reply isn't always a good idea, you should better call them and sort this issue while on the line. Btw, the logic behind replacing damaged parts is to keep them as they are - do not disassemble - otherwise void of warranty and no way for LEGO to figure out the initial problem with that motor.

Btw, can someone confirm if similar Bricks and Pieces closure existed year ago? I'm afraid they are closing it to bring some changes or updates.

German Brick and Pieces says no orders possible until the end of January. So guys, we'll have to wait before we can order new parts.

Oh, not again, Chima takes all the cover.

[MOC] Sporty snow tracker
zux replied to zux's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As promised, instructions now available for download. Thanks! This MOC was done a year ago, so I no longer have it assembled and cannot check the weight right now. I could probably find it once I get a list of used parts (since their weight is known) for rebrickable. Fortunately I have a video, but it needs some editing, which I need to figure out how to do first, before it can be shared. -
[MOC] Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Hard Top

Very accurate MOC, love the removable top with doors. Since you already built 2 door version, I see no reasons to skip building 4 door model. -

Thanks, I'm happy you liked it. I've made a "photo sequence" instructions. Never published them due to large size (~280MB). I'll try to reduce the size somehow and share them here. -
If we are speaking about MB it better be G-class, I don't want another MB truck. Don't get me wrong, other trucks are good too, but I don't see a reason getting into rest of MB line other than Unimog, which is iconic.

76023 The Tumbler
zux replied to nerdsforprez's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, it all depends what is Technic for YOU. As for me, Tumbler looks more like Model Team, rather than Technic. Second thing, Tumbler don't have that much Technic pieces, less than 300 (with pins excluded) out of 1.8k - not too much. There are other bigger sets, like in SW line, where Technic pieces are used to create stronger chassis or frame, but we never call them Technic, just because of it.- 11 replies

Will there be a complete list of entries and points they got or it will be limited? Just wondering, as I'd love to see all the data, for statistics.

I think idea is simple (for me): let kids think of what they want for the whole year - sell rest of past year's & current year's items before Xmas. Repeat next year. With such approach, kids would ask parents for LEGO before Xmas for sets from existing series, and in couple of weeks - there are amazing new series, so you could spend even more.

You could try making arches slightly larger, or move wheels inside the body as it is in real cars. Here -
I had an experience of buying some used parts, that had a strong smoke smell - it turned out seller had outdoor BBQ with some house windows opened. I left the parts in warm soapy water for couple of hours, then gave it a wash, twice. And still there was that damn smell. If you put part in ziplock bag at open it after a while it was easy to find out smell wasn't gone. Plastic parts should be ok after washing them, however rubber pieces (Technic flex axles) didn't clean well - they smelled almost the same.
