Im now really interested in photos of high speed train. Maybe again preliminary photos are different than actual product, so maybe no long front and green colour.
-
Im doing double take on this train, and I really starting to hate inconsistencies in height of locomotive and wagons with cargo. Locomotive looks very good, but these wagons. Well its lego, so I can build anything on these baseplates. But 180 euro just for locomotive that will sit on shelf, well there goes some thinking. Thats a lot of speed champions cars...
-
All trains before kinda have same height of locomotive and wagons with carriage. It its realistic, thats how it works in real life. This train is really off limits with two wagons. I wonder looking at this very modern and not dull design as always and these height problems, if lego trains have new designer... But hey your proposition is very clever, my diorama is full of goofy stuff so this will work for sure :D . Thank you.

Amazing train, It was really long time ago when I saw Lego train and say wow I need this for sure. Sadly Im not fan of car carrier and I was kinda scared of this, It will not fit under my tunnel with car on top. Albeit really interesting wagon... For that locomotove alone I buy 2 of these sets, It reminds me some modern diesel I sometimes see when I ride as passenger on train.

The Future of Technic
Ondra replied to Paul B Technic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Powered up is weird pricier system when your model for hefty amount of euros, can be useless when they stop updating they mobile app. So these sets are easy pass. Lego technic is starting doing mostly showcase models and this is problem for me. And when they try something technical, these sets always hits limits of bricks. So these sets are again pass for me. I think technic lost its charm when they go full studless, I dont know I will buy for sure 8880 rather than these new supercars. -
Bricklink is niche market for Afols. This cannot be compared with toys shops for wider audience everywhere. We have there something like ebay, sometimes people sell official wagons and locomotives standalone from train sets. They are always sold out from cargo train. If there is market in lego for shoes, flowers, big piano I think there is market for additional wagons arounds 300 pieces. When I read discussion on youtube or reddit, people are mostly interested in leaks about trains when it comes to city or creator.

You didn't say the magic words These worlds is please and thanks. Also Its lego and made bus is not too hard. This will save you a lot of waiting time... -
In lego city forum say that they have another source for cargo train description. There is flatbed, car carrier and another flatbed with containers. From another source side build is ramp and car crane and car or cars for carrier. Locomotive is red a there is switch . I think there will be possibility to put car crane on flatbed. It will make sense looking at another city trains and their functions. If true it will be a lot similarities to train set from 2018. First of May is not too far, so we will see.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

Very low variety of wagon, if train carrier is actually something like from real it can be something, but these wagons sounds as actually three flatbeds without cargo... -
42110 - Land Rover Defender
Ondra replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You are really party crasher :D . Thanks for info, its really helpful for me. It seems that this type of gearbox with 4WD really push limits of lego bricks. Well maybe I end with main model, it seems it just needs once a while small maintenance, like real Land Rover ... I also thanks to you ;) . -
42110 - Land Rover Defender
Ondra replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I did some research, I love colour scheme of this defender and functions, but these videos with cracking transmission are driving me nuts. But I stumble upon this alternate MOC https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-75267/poljvd/jeep-wrangler-42110-alternate/#info . Same functions, but with robust drivetrain thanks to no usage of CV joints. I also get feel of better interior for sitting technic figures and bodywork. Is there anybody who build this outstanding MOC ? Im reading discussion and people are very positive about that drivetrain. -

42110 - Land Rover Defender
Ondra replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well I actually decided to go after Sian. I read a lot about Defender transmission and that gets me off. Also Sian will be my first 1:8, its not 8880 or super street sensational that I always dreamt of but its something. Also they hooked me on with packaging and with zero stickers. That packaging reminds me in some ways packaging of 90s . Thanks everyone for replies :) . -
Im having probably really silly questions, I decided to buy it as my first 1:8 supercar. But I have problem, that no one asked before. Can I use Star Wars buildable figures such as https://brickset.com/sets/75528-1/Rey as driver? They are still selling here, nobody is buying them. And they are kind 1:8 in scale around 22 cm height. I assume they can fit without legs. I calculated that Scala figures are really small and Galidor is hard to find on par with scala figures. Im hope that Im not alone in this. Thanks for reply.

42143 - Ferrari Daytona SP3
Ondra replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Based on real car I don't think k it will too much differ from Sian functions wise. Automatic gear shifting will be something great and it will be first set that will have it. So I hope for this, really. They can really shine in car design, Sian proved that they are able to improve it. Chiron and Porsche lego design was with some unpleasant details. Also I hope there will be darker tone of red and not classic red as always for Ferrari cars. I think Sian colour was mistake due to inconsistencies brick colours. So lets hope, that summer is final date of release. -
And that Disney train set has only 3000 pieces, which is helluva overpriced. So Hogwarts express can be anything at this moment... People have high hopes, but I keep expectations low. Maybe Im minority, but cant I wait for city trains. Im already have hogwarts express for 2018. So Im not in mood buying another, because I did some modifications and I love it.

42110 - Land Rover Defender
Ondra replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Now Im having two proposals for same price. Buy one Sian or buy two defenders, one to be stock and one to be stadium truck by Grohl. All my technic cars all 1:10 scale and Sian is 1:8. Both sets have pros and cons, so there needs to be few decisions made. -

42110 - Land Rover Defender
Ondra replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Can somebody help me in decision? Im having another urge to buy this set, I had it already in cart but I read something about it and I put it back just not having another headaches. If I build this set as in instructions, do I get at least working model as intended? I dont want to modify it just to barely work. Thank you for reply :) . -
I kinda cannot understand obsession with Playmobil in lego community as direct competitors, I watched some april joke again as always bunch of them are again playmobil related. In my eyes, this doesnt make sense. Lego and Playmobil are completely different toys. Lego is building toys when you can build anything you want and playmobil is roleplaying dollhouse style toy when your playthrough is mostly preset. Yes there is one detail that makes these toys related, yes figures and minifigures hands.
-
Well Im not shocked, at least we get proper steam UCS train. But another Hogwarts express, again...
-
That is making big sense, when there was UCS Tumbler last year, same year we got also minifig Tumbler. So this can be same case, fingers crossed.
