I dont know, I had 30 years old lego sitting in cardboard box for very long time and these bricks are brand new with all clutch power. Not using bricks, cannot melt lego beams!

Hogwarts express is massive piece of lego model, I would kinda like to have one similar just for looks. But Hey, I dont have too much space to show whole train in one piece. Classic lego train, no problem. But this? I have playmobil RCE express, and hey its smaller albeit its G gauge. And still can be put into curve to save room. Hogwarts express has static boogies and cannot be fit into classic train tracks... Well whats good on the other hand finally, speed champions have sparring partner. In some review, somebody put James Bond SC Aston Martin DB5 next to HE and its match made in heaven. Maybe if I found room, which is impossible I would really like to have Orient Express. I ever dreamed of ride in this train.

Im furiously hating, as lego starting to shape trains future as ten studs wide statues. Hogwarts express now Orient express... Maybe its actually time to celebrating, but I had no intent to rebuild my diorama to fit these ten studs behemoths. Because they are totally out of scale to basic lego stuff. They are so obsessed with bigger models, that they totally lost the plot!

Hey, at least its good Minifig pack without needing to buy excessive amount of sets for main characters. Last year Avengers was great offender, even full set of infinity stones and gauntlet. This year Harry Potter was probably best one for me. Voldemort, Sirius, Tonks, Neville and sword in one set! Perfect! Well but other hand STAR WARS ones are just garbages, these figures are mostly in christmas jumpers and these microbuilds, are just always meh...

If Orient express gets Emerald night treatment with say three-four wagons mimicking whole train. I buy two sets... If it goes Hogwarts express route, I dont have any intentions to buy these train statues... They lost plot...

I just read that locomotive with wagon is 130 centimetres long... I dont have any room for this, if this set will be classic lego gauge, there is no problem. Curve can fix it easily... But it will still looks bad... If it will hogwarts express blunder, they totally lose the plot... Seriously they are doing models artificially bigger without any practical usage. Who is asking for these inflated sets like Hulkbuster? Is now minifig scale a bad word? Seriously Imagine if they did something like EMERALD NIGHT, but full working train with 4 wagons mimicking whole Orient Express. That will be something epic!

Well, whats sad City probably stick to classic 6wide motorized trains with basic design and these display models will be 10 stud wide, interior detail wise its logical. But nobody will invest to new lego gauge... So thats it! Trains are dead, all hail to new trains!

My guess Hogwarts express treatment, just static model without any way to motorise or run on classic layouts... Yeah, Im downer and party crasher!

I agree with you that these sets are great parts packs but, three minifigs, many interesting parts and playing scenarios are something I wish I had as kid. But no instructions with badly optimized app, is just bad. What will be better is just instructions for main build and minibuilds and just freebuild on top.

Lego needs to disband division that have apps in charge. I bought mars mission set, which can be only build with app. I bought this set as piece donor mostly, but when I want to check that app guess what, my mobile phone is not compatible. My phone is bit older, but every crucial apps like government, bank any other popular apps can be used without problems and they run like charm. But lego decided, its old for some app with videos. When somebody have same problems, guess they gifted they child with space parts donor. Whats even worse, there is not even PDF backup on official lego webpage. When they cut mission sets, everything is lost This shows, how crucial are paper instructions for lego and these missions set are just kinda mistake.

Lego had great idea, when they are making more collectable sets with exposed studs. Firstly It screams LEGO miles away, no doubt when somebody sees it they just know. When is set too clean, it kinda fall into uncanny valley for lego set. Second, for me its throaway to my childhood lego sets, which showed studs proudly. Third, for example Star Wars helmet can be used as mannequin head for playing, just stick some dots on it and it looks less sinister. I love it!

I dont care about boxes, Im not collector. Well I live on other side of Czech Republic, so no way to bring some big box from Prague across whole republic. Thanks anyway .

They can still do bust, or head . I just read in some interview they will not do C3PO as helmet, because its not helmet and dark trooper was not difference because it is helmet. So there it is...

This baffles me a lot, we got two UCS R2-D2, helmets, other UCS style droids even Yoda is there... But C3PO? We never get brickbuild version ever. C3PO is same crucial robot character like R2-D2, so its not making any sense. Could be there reason in license holder mind? What do you think?

Adult oriented sets, I mean these with 18+ needs to have printed bricks. These prices suggest premium quality experience and that mean printing for me. There is no excuse to pay 80 euro for Darth Vader helmet and get 4 lousy stickers, which are crucial. At least that set works without them. Luckily I pay for that helmet 40 euro, and I still feel robbed with these stickers. That set will be perfect with prints!

I dont know if unpopular but here in my country is official lego shop total joke. Full exaggerated czech price (He had special tax for lego here, I dont know) only one solution to deliver is DPD . It takes me few second to go to other online shops, that sells around 95% of lego shop sets and they always fighting for customer so even exclusives are resumably priced there. Not mention they use wide variety of local deliver companies. Yes they dont get strictly exclusives and these bigger than moon sets... But with czech price, even driving to Germany or especially Poland is better solution not to be robbed! Total joke!

Maybe silly question, but I dont find solid answer. This year we get first official lego store in my country. What can I expect, I assume lego .com exclusive sets at full price and pick a brick which can be interesting. Is there something else to check out? Or its just regular specialized lego store? We already have here some semi official stores that sell exclusives, so I dont see this as big deal because they are sold for full price and these shops are only in Prague so is this. So I always order online with nice discount. Thanks for info!

Thanks for info. Light my bricks are only kits available here in some eshops, these price are around half of price of sets I bought. They dont vary of price on official stores. So I still cannot decide, I probably buy more sets instead of lights

1 .) I see modular building as collectibles. Around fifth modular building I realise they are just collectibles for many buyers without any ending. I also never find them to be perfect lego building, from front facade maybe, but interiors and back side are barebones, they still making progress in this but there is room for more. I was always hesitant to spend price for one for just three sides of basic lego bricks. And where is any kind of museum! 2.) There is no point for paying for older Star Wats sets, when they are doing reissues and some UCS sets even get another version and its better. Im not minifig or printed bricks guy, so I do not bother. 3.) Lego pursuit of Adult market can badly backfired. Adults have many necessary spendings, my bet buying every week 300 euro set is none of it. They seriously had better market strategy back in days, when we get like 7 big sets in year and still reasonably prized not mention these sets always have life span around four years so there was plenty of room to decide which one buy. Now every niche idea have 300 euro behemoth at lovest with life span 2 years and I seriously lost all interest in these.

I recently bought two star wars sets yoda and R2D2 and I just learn abought light kits... I read some reviews, but still cannot decide. What pushes me back is price of these kit which is around 1/3 price of set at lowest and none light kit is perfect in every way. I read some are flimsy. Is there anybody who use these light kits? I would hear some opinion, thank you in advance.

For me is weight of set better metrics than piece count. Many times it choosed set which is beefier than set with more pieces.
