Seeing prices of lego electrified bricks and it will be on par with train hobby parts. With power functions it was kinda ok, but powered up is weird system, very limiting. I was recently shocked by prices of some robotics pieces. It think it was steal at broad daylight. But nothing new, I was in mindstorms school club and biggest problem was financing all these bricks, overpriced basic bricks from official lego study programs. I was shocked and stunned when they tell us these prices. There was no way to buy sets second hand, they need all new bricks just for proper accountancy. When they get some money, bam there was new batch of mindstorms and these sensor bricks were obsolete. It was for me really life changing experience, how all power goes thru money... We had some great ideas, like automatized cranes or self navigating cars, but we ran out of everything to build something...Maybe now it is better, I dont know... I was happy when I get into mindstorms club and I get out depressed and with pessimistic view on anything school and lego related. These experiences totally turn me off anything electrical lego made bricks... They offered so tiny for so much... So I only want really small steps from lego, basic locomotives with motor and some easy to buy wagons. And yet Im not fullfiled, and Im not alone. I don't t understand, its so easy to invent new train related sets because Its lego and these trains baseplates are not too big. Its not like made locomotive by model making companies for H0 scale for example. Im always interested whats going on in heads of executives in LEGO(Well not only lego, all big companies) They somewhat are not interested in trains, but there are two trains sets for 4 years row and they are selling well... Always sold out everywhere.

I dont want 12 era back, I know its really hard to produce in this years. I just want 9V era style of sets(Well with powered up) I swear if this come back I will build train tracks across my house. MOC approach is really pricier. One fun fact, Here in Czech republic there is one shop, that sell few MOC train sets. Whats interesting even more, he is mostly sold out. If these rumours are true, there seems to be wagons in freight set easily multiplied. According to just rumours I have prepared money for 2x freight train... Yes Im that desperate for something that can scream long badass freight train. I think 60198 is bad, because of variety of wagons and I prefer another wagon in position of side builds.

Well I can buy 10 spaceships, I can buy 20 cars, I can buy 30 police oriented set EVERY YEAR... But If I go nuts and I want train? Im adult, I can finally buy trains by my own will not like in 90s. Well wagons can be easily multiplied by multiple purchase. Its easy? Isnt it? TLG: Forget, you are only stuck to one passenger high speed train and one freight train set when you get throaways side builds like armored truck. Well everybody clearly needs armored money truck in train pack... Best part its here, you are stuck with this for whole 4 YEARS! You want some adult oriented train? Best we can do is locomotive every half of decade, but we are making it too big for every layout and we are selling it only for year, because everybody love these high secondary market prices... There is clearly no market at all... Well we can throw also some Hogwarts Express once a while, because we think that non licensed steamers will not sell... We actually you are clearly spoiled, there are actually two high speed trains this year. Its only your problem that is 4 studs wide... IDEAS train? We will carefully evaluate every moc that was made with hard work, but thats all. Thanks for coming! You dont get it? Best we can do is millenium falcon with train tracks... Do you want also some lazer buffers with it? Thats all folks, there is no problem. Only problem is in me, that I want train. Trains are clearly obsolete means of transport by TLG... Minifigures are stuck with cars and spaceships as viable means of transport... Truly modern and innovative way of thinking... Just imagine!

Im not participating in many internet communities, but Im sure to say that Afol one is worst of all. Sadly It was all the way even in first years of internet forums back in 2000s . It gets worse with licensed themes, because many of licensed theme participants are not interested in lego at all. Big problem is that these folks, forget that lego is primary children's toys. Always has been. Biggest paradox is that most chill and mature forum is about Grand theft auto game worst of all are toys forums.

I think AFOL community and Afol youtube community is full of manchilds and cry babies and weirdos, that dont know anything outside lego bubble. There are mostly fellas that are into consumerism and cant build anything without instructions. Im ashamed when somebody call me afol, I just found it like insult....

Last year first photos of city sets were exactly one month away from release date. So 1.5.2022 we get official photos for sure.

Lego IDEAS is just marketing campaign, statistic data for lego without benefits for fans. I see lots of non lego website that have stories about successful 10 000 run for some ideas sets. It acts like 10 000 means instant set and people are interested in lego for no reason based on this. Lego alone is probably getting hefty amount of data what they need to do for next years. They are getting market statistic for free... Also based on what lego picks just make me interested really what is interesting on some particular sets they are mostly really pricier and uninspiring aka dust catchers. It would be really fair, that lego just say we are not interested in trains for example, because works on these mocs that will not be picked for sure is not easy task and they are just wasting resources of voters and MOCers.

I did quick math, high speed train is 764 pieces freight train with that price and based on high speed train piece count will have around 950 pieces. We already saw good trains with similar piece count, so dont worry . They just need to lower side builds.

I think licensed themes are just for cost cutting and maximizing profits. Im seeing this also in Playmobil which solely insist on own themes... These sets get free advertising, instant recognition, lego doesnt need to imagine every part of model. They probably calculate all things to get this way... There is creator for that and some sets are really interesting, but they dont get same love as for example speed champions sets if we talk about some cars. I think thats why most classic themes are dead...

Probably we are month away to see trains for next four years. Im very interested in freight train, there was leak on reddit that locomotive is red similar to last one, train has three wagons consisting of flatbed with two containers, large wagon(?) And car carrier. Side builds are crane truck and ramp for cars if I understood that. I really hope its true, because it sounds very interesting. Im not fan of 2018 freight train.

I choosed evija a 512 m from this wave, 512 m is perfect set without any problems but Im little dissapointed with evija. Stickers of yellow line are really tricky, and they can be messed very easily. This model is good looker, but I will not trust it in play. There are few builds that are clunky and they can fall of easily . I get feel of some alternate mocs, that I build from rebrickable. Im now in process of modding, getting rid of some stickers and adding some detalis and making this set sturdier. Its first speed champions set, that Im not satisfied at all after build.

Yeah I feel that too, basic details fit these figures better. I have also problems, that these figures smile a lot less that in 90s. They feel like they are in constant tense or unhappy. Or when they smile its mostly grin... I think this started with world city sets, which were most post 9/11 sets as it can be...

I think that speed champions needs to completely rework usage of stickers, some of them are really tricky and they can ruin whole model for me me when they dont fit properly. There is also milimeter gap, when placed as in instructions. My OCD is crying... Luckily they get memo, and headlights are now printed or brickbuild. When Im having problems to allign these stickers, I dont know if kids in recommended age are not struggling even more.

I just search for pile of dark tan bricks, and Im not sure it will be great colour for such massive set like Eiffel tower. Grey is classic colour for me in terms of Eiffel tower, they are build in this colour in legolands. Im interested, because I love look of Eiffel tower when I was in Paris. But 630 euros is really a lot and it must look perfect for this price and size.

I think lego needs to reevaluate licensing partnership with disney like they did with blizzard for controversy surrounding this company recently. For me is disney evil corporate company that prey on childrens and their free minds and they have no room in my life anymore... Sad things, lego catalog is actually full of disney IP and there goes hefty amount of money. They get rid of blizzard, because it didnt have any impact. One corporate supporting another, its true but is sad...

My bad they were never yellow, they had just skin tone. I dont know why I count these as yellow, maybe because they were generic as city figures. I just check my duplo figures from early 90s

I see no reason for fleshies in duplo sets. When they keep yellow figures in city sets I do not see reason for fleshies in duplo. I already heard that some dont buy sets, because these sets do not corespond with colour of skin in my country. For them these sets are artificial and western countries oriented.
