  1. That's kind of interesting that it doesn't exist. I mean, it's 3x3 studs, but in brick/arch numbering order, it works out to 1 x 4 x 2.667 A 1x3x2 is the one beneath and a 1x4x3 isn't round on top or bottom. I was trying to think of a way to use a 3x3 disc, 3x3 dish, or 3x3 round plate, but those would only back-fill the opening, not give the smooth surface I suspect you want. if there was a 3x3 macaroni brick that'd be close, maybe tiling it would be better, but that doesn't exist either. Certainly an interesting gap in parts. Would a stack of 1x1 tiles be large enough to be an illegal solution?
  2. I've finally got the gears I need to start the GBC module I want to make.
  3. My local shop still can't keep them in stock more than a couple hours.
  4. It's a matter of timing, too. If you just squeeze it, it won't spin. You'd have to squeeze and release so the wheel can stay in motion.
  5. Well, there's a scene I've never seen done in LEGO before. I feel like Anakin could use something to represent his stumps, Maybe a pair of 1x1 round black plates in the bottom of his torso??
  6. Why not just make a 2017 wish list topic? Gets it out of here, and gives people a place to talk about next year before we have any rumors, tenuous or solid?
  7. Thoroughly disappointed in this review for one reason: You didn't dump all the bags out on the table at once? That should have been a 12-hour build, at least! Using numbered bags is cheating! Just kidding, awesome as always.
  8. The real problem is scale. There's really no way to make such a complicated droid at such a small scale. They should have made some custom molds years ago. That said, an UCS scaled Droideka could probably me made easily, and far more accurately.
  9. Not fair, teasing us that you have interior pictures.
  10. Any chance you have a parts list of what's needed in addition to the original set?
  11. Is this actually in minifig scale? I spotted studs on the driver's seat...
  12. US Capitol is getting an Architecture set in a few weeks, and the largest one in a while. They probably wouldn't follow that up with another version for at least a few years. How about Tokyo Skytree?
  13. Resistance X-wing Fighter
  14. Agreed. In the Technic area, we didn't believe the Porsche would be $300... We were wrong. Cinderella's Castle is $350 I totally expect the new Death Star to be $500.... Or a complete disappointment on a par with Insult at Hoth if it's priced at $400 or lower. Oh, and Rebel Combat Frigate is on the US S@H with no pictures, priced at $110, available August 1st, so the official pictures are probably on the server already for those of you super-sleuths that dig those out.
  15. Some sets hit LEGO store shelves as soon as they get them, some have strict street dates. Some official stores follow the street dates precisely, some put them out early anyways.
  16. Apparently these are flying off shelves pretty well. I was going to pick it up today, but was told by the manager they are usually gone the same day they show up. Apparently a lot of Porsche fans who have never built a LEGO set are jumping on this.
  17. Wow. That set is almost an overdose of Hulkiliciousness!
  18. Entry B - 1 Point Entry F - 1 Point Entry G - 1 Point
  19. Finding Dory on Saturday, and The BFG today.
  20. You are not legally purchasing these shows from Apple, either. You know that, because you know that you are violating their TOS. Are the TOS completely stupid? Yes, of course they are. That doesn't change the underlying legal issues. You want an example of even worse? I legally buy an import copy of a CD, say from Japan, here in the US, and upload it onto my iTunes. If I have ever activated the newer Music sharing stuff, even just a free trial period, then cancelled, Apple can go in and delete my legally purchased and uploaded songs from their servers AND MY DEVICES. Yeah. Wrap your head around that one. Don't trust Apple if you want to buy stuff from outside your region. I had HUGE problems with my and my wife's accounts when I moved between US and Japan. She's Japanese and only wants stuff from the Japanese iTunes, but legally can't because our billing address is not in Japan any more. She can't even access the stuff she bought legally from the Japanese iTunes Store any more since we moved. This is the problem with cloud services and purchases of non-physical media. They can do whatever they want with your stuff by changing the TOS.
  21. Hah! That's awesome! I used to drive past that twice every day when I lived up there.
  22. I'm ready for some RO leaks to start popping up, but I guess it's still too soon.
  23. I think I can react without totally spoiling the episode... Holy $#!+. That was AMAZING.
  24. I like to build on the studs, when I use only non-studded sides, things don't stay together. ;) This is like the very definition of a #firstworldproblem. Get yourself an industrial kitchen-sized baking sheet. They are more than 1.5m^2 and have a 2cm lip all the way around to keep the 1x1 round bricks from rolling away when you drop them with your butterfingers. :P
