  1. In a word: Yes. Removing the leg from hips or arm from shoulder isn't something TLG designed for, so there is a risk of damage to the components. Sometimes it will be fine, sometimes you'll get a looser connection, and with enough times, the plastic could break.
  2. Having actually worked with real life cranes, and loads measured in tons, it's immensely helpful to be able to rotate a load without moving it laterally. In any conceivable LEGO scale crane, rotating a load by rotating the hook / sheave and lifting string should be sufficient. All cranes have load limits though, so perhaps your crane's load limit is set by the separation force of the turntable. (although I'd suspect that a power functions motor isn't capable of generating that much strain.)
  3. Did you read my post, or the chopped quote from it? By June, we will have seen many of the characters in official channels. Having the back of instruction picture of the wave's minifigs with no name associated and only a set number isn't spoiling anything or revealing new information. TFA sets are coming, that's no surprise. There will be minifigs in them. Not a surprise. Seeing minifigs of the characters shown in the teaser trailer and the upcoming theatrical trailer isn't outside the realm of possibility.
  4. Hailfire Droid, Microfighter ATAT and a second stormtrooper BP.
  5. If everyone in this thread were to stop talking about TFA, the conversation (if there was anything left) would be dominated about how awesome and also completely horrible the Flash Speeder is and why we didn't need an nth version of the Naboo starfighter instead of the private yacht. ...and really. Is that what we want? :D ...and I still think it possible for the June sets to have the minifig page in the back include TFA figs. There'd be no names, and we've seen some already and will likely see many more between then and now: 2nd trailer, May 4th, Star Wars Days. Just a small image of a figure and a set number wouldn't really give anything away and minifigs tend to be stylized versions of characters anyways, so first round figures are often missing details or have inaccuracies.
  6. Every now and then, a front page topic is so incredible, that just that small tease is more than enough to get me into a theme forum I don't usually pay attention to, for the sole purpose of saying: Bravo. That is stunning.
  7. The back pages of the instructions from the Summer wave sets could easily have pictures of either figures or sets from later in the year... Wouldn't be the first time.
  8. Time to send that picture to TLG.
  9. Did you guys hear? LEGO is releasing new for 2015 Star Wars sets! We should make a topic so we can talk about them! Oh, wait.
  10. Ditto. No problems with any of my Unikitties, SSS or otherwise.
  11. I, for one, am VERY glad that we didn't get any vehicles/sets from the second half of season one. Just the minifigs alone could have quickly ruined the two big reveals in the finale. It's also funny to me that when the first leaks popped up that we'd be getting a Gozanti-class cruiser people howled that it didn't make any sense since it was shown so briefly... And now that the finale has been aired. it's inclusion in the upcoming wave seems like a completely obvious and even necessary release. Also: Thanks for the link to the Filoni interview.
  12. How does his left arm stay in place? I see two open studs facing each other, but at an angle...
  13. Maybe, and I doubt even this, a LEGO Discovery Center in Miami? More likely, someone is trying to scam money from a tax district, like the 300 times that Six Flags was supposedly coming to Florida, even though 6F Corporate has stated repeatedly that they will not try to compete in that market (wisely). Also: The Mall of America is a soul-less shrine to consumerism that underwhelms most visitors, has trouble maintaining tenant occupancy rates and most locals avoid at all costs until the relatives come to visit and want to go. Clearly, bigger is the answer. lol (I lived in Eagan, MN for a few years, just 3-4 minutes away... blech.)
  14. As many times we've seen Tantive IV in Rebels now, I would be surprised if we don't get another Blockade Runner set next year...
  15. Zero percent worried about the direction of Star Wars Rebels after last night's season finale... Knowing that the Gozanti-class cruiser was being made was actually kind of a spoiler for this episode, we just didn't know it yet. The potential figures in SWR sets also got quite a few changes, too. What an awesome way to tie TCW to SWR, which deepens the links between OT and PT even better, too.
  16. Just the last couple of the small sets I don't already have from January's wave in SW and Technic.
  17. Huh? Just because some countries get sets at different times doesn't remove the fact that the wave released around January 1st is THIS YEAR, and included a fair number of Rebels sets. I've been saying that since I came out of the dark ages about SW-AFOLs.
  18. Wow. THAT is what the center part of this set should have looked like... Are the large 1/-rounds available in that light bley? If so, I hope you make instructions!
  19. Um, whut? Kirin is giraffe in Japanese... ;) The mythical creature, for which the Kirin beer company is named, is more often transliterated from Chinese as qilin... :)
  20. Almost any UCS set will have a pretty good quantity of Technic parts, but they really are becoming more widespread. I helped my daughter build a Friends set that had multiple rack gears, an axle and two gears to make two panels/doors move in opposite directions when moved. I was pretty surprised to find them in that theme!
  21. My local LEGO stores are already expecting it to go on deep clearance earlier than normal... They had dozens on the shelves and more up top... and more out back, and they aren't selling very well at either store. Anybody who isn't completely sick and tired of battle droids probably already has dozens or even hundreds.
  22. The Louvre was on display at NYTF... but we'd already seen it, so nobody even mentioned it. :) I didn't see any pictures of Flatiron from there, though... Did anyone else?
  23. The difference in the first Rebels sets and the latest is the difference between designing from concept drawings and designing from fully realized and final-render images.
  24. I'm not sure what "brick o 16 with cross" is, but having built the set myself, I assure you it all goes together easily, but in a very ingenious way, and I would NOT be surprised if LDD cannot deal with some of the more unusual building techniques. There are bricks bottom-to-bottom in that picture, held together in a sandwich involving the offset holes on the modified 4x4 plates and 2x2 round plates with short technic axles inside... That's probably impossible in LDD, too.
