  1. Yeah, I discovered the diff problem when I tested the remote functions after I was done building the loader. I didn't think as far as to test it earlier, as I expected everything to be correct from the manual. I just have to ask - if the model swings from side to side when moved, when the battery box is turned off, could that damage the servo motor in any way? I've made some small modifications to the loader, among them a small thingy to lock the loader in forward position when not in use, just in case.
  2. Alright, I've fixed it. The rear diff was indeed the wrong way. Now it works just like it should.
  3. Strange. I'm sure I did exactly as shown in the manual... I'll have to see how I can fix it without disassembling too much
  4. My loader is now finished after a total building time of around 8,5 hours, including sorting. I'm very satisfied with the build. I have a problem though - the rear axle spins in opposite direction of the remote movement. Based on things I've read before, my guess would be that the rear differential is mounted the wrong way, but I'm completely sure I built everything according to the manual. Can anyone confirm if it's the rear diff being the wrong way?
  5. I got my copy of the Volvo today! I'm in the middle of the build at the moment, I reached the point of installing the battery box before taking a break. 3 h 50 min spent so far. ------------------------- Another 2 h 30 min done. If it wasn't for work tomorrow, I'd be tempted to keep building until it's finished.
  6. Yesterday I ordered the 42030 Volvo L350F Wheel Loader.
  7. Ordered the 42030 Volvo L350F Wheel Loader yesterday, and did some sorting in my parts inventory today.
  8. Among the sets I have built up until now, I'll have to say 42009. I'm looking at getting 42030 and expect to enjoy that build more.
  9. The 2nd question doesn't have a clear answer to me because I rarely buy sets, I usually buy parts from BrickLink. It depends solely on the sets and discounts. And I only buy a set if I really want it, so I don't get to the point where I regret buying any sets since I buy so few.
  10. What's the measurements of the truck? It looks huge!
  11. Looks cool, interesting. I'm not into Star Wars sets, but I'm tempted by this. Will it be an exclusive set, or available everywhere?
  12. I too enjoy Jangbricks' reviews, he's the born "voice-reviewer" I've watched some of his reviews on sets I'm not even into, like The Hobbit and regular brick sets.
  13. Nice. I agree that the cab becomes almost invisible, it should be in another color.
  14. Merry Christmas to all brick builders, and Happy New Year when the time comes
  15. Very nice work, I especially like the dashboard and interior and the yellow "closet" hiding the switch and valves.
  16. Did some MOCing today.
  17. I wouldn't say it was difficult enough to separate axles in different lengths to need different colors. But I do welcome the color coding TLG use nowadays.
  18. Well, I was thinking about single LA's on e.g. excavator arms. 2 or more in the same spot, like lifting of crane booms, would probably be different...
  19. Good job, looks really close to the real thing.
  20. I think a micro motor would be nice to "upgrade" e.g. excavators visually. You would only need cables out to every LA to run the micro motor directly on the LA instead of axles and connectors.
  21. Really nice video on the Arctic Truck, I'm getting more and more tempted to buy it I have to say that the 24H Race Car seems boring, but the B-model is kinda cool.
