  1. I wouldn't say it's bad, from the looks of it, but the color scheme clashes a bit. It would've been better if it was the B-model of a set that was in black/yellow, like Volvo's graders. It would have looked more realistic too if the middle section between cab and front wheels were more narrow, resembling real graders better. Either way, despite the color clash I'd say it's an alright B-model, but that's me.
  2. I used my teeth before and I may have broken small bits off some of them because of it
  3. Indeed, the 8110 is one of the sets that IMO suffers from that. The pivot point is a few studs behind the wheel anyway with the rims TLG makes, but adding the portal axles messes it up even more. Due to the portal axles, the wheels even changed direction because the pivot point was so far behind the wheels.
  4. Alright, could be. I imagine they do need time anyway to "perfect" the sets before the release. I guess a year from the stage of completion to the release isn't as much as it might sound.
  5. The list is so long that it seems most likely it's the full Technic set list for 2016, as I see it. If that's the case, I would assume the IP car will be for 2H, and having it finished now, almost 1 year before the release? It doesn't sound likely to me.
  6. The Norwegian web store lekmer dot no has a campaign with -20% on all Lego up until Monday. With that the Arocs is at about $192 instead of an average of $235 in general. I really consider buying it, but I'm unsure because I only really want the bracket and pneumatic parts, maybe the buckets. What would you recommend, guys?
  7. I'm in on that. If they're just well designed and good sets, I don't mind them being small even if they're licensed.
  8. Or TLG could make a competition where they designed a complete model and released the full parts list and people could compete in designing the official B-model. Kinda like the 41999 competition except the winner would get his design as the official B-model.
  9. Looks very spot on to how I remember it. Nice work.
  10. Impressive build there.
  11. I made the same mistake when I built my loader - I didn't notice the part where it said to switch the directions on one of the remotes
  12. I have no experience with truck driving, but... I don't understand how a person can drive a truck and NOT notice that the cargo bed is up like that I can only think that it takes an idiot to manage that...
  13. Nice design ideas for your MOC. I love the trolley system solution, so simple and yet so clever.
  14. I want Vader and Grievous, they look badass Would be funny to switch their heads and make General Vader and Darth Grievous
  15. Wouldn't you like to see Darth Grievous?
  16. I use needle-nose pliers for tight spaces and in general various suitable things to push out pins and stuff if I can't otherwise.
  17. The lower part with the belts and all the way up to the turntable looks the same, but is everything else, tower as well as superstructure, rebuilt in the B-model?
  18. The Unimog, Arocs and Volvo loader are all of a fair size. I don't see a Volvo excavator being much smaller than the 42006.
  19. At least you didn't put the wrong part into a section difficult to access that's a pain if you have to disassemble half the mode or so to change the part.
  20. Yeah, despite how it looks on pictures, it is bigger than I expected too. I have a closet with glass shelves and glass doors where I keep my assembled sets on display, but the crane arm will probably make the crane too big. I have to see if I can move the shelves further up to fit the crane in there
  21. It's quite a big crane, that one. I can see that they possibly designed this set based on it.
  22. Ah, I missed that when I was building. Well, to fix or not to fix...
  23. A quick question - I have two White Plate 1x3 among the leftover parts, where are those supposed to be? I can't remember seeing them in the instructions.
