[MINI] Lawn Tractor
N-4K0 replied to Eraman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I finally got the last package of parts and have now built mine. I still miss a few pieces I forgot to order, and will do that soon. Now that I have it almost complete, it looks very nice. -
Wheels for wheel hubs
N-4K0 replied to nicjasno's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have built a tractor, and need something about 2 studs bigger than the Unimog tires to get the right size. I'll check out the results I can find on Norwegian sites. EDIT - I found a nice looking tire in this web store and bought it. I had to cut off a bit of the edge on both sides to fit it on the rim, but it works fine. -
Wheels for wheel hubs

Hi, thanks for the quick answer I do however need a cheaper option due to tax limit... I did search for tires in Norway just now and found some (didn't even think about that, lol), but I'm not sure if they would fit. http://www.rc-shop.no/products/pro116314-interco-tsl-sx-super-swamper-19 Would this with 1.9" inner diameter fit on the 44772 rim? -

I'm sorry for reviving an old topic, but I didn't find another topic suitable for my question and didn't want to start a new one. I know many people on this forum use non-Lego tires for their MOCs, does anyone have any tips for non-Lego tires in the style of 92912, 94.3 x 38 R, about 2 studs bigger in diameter? I would like to have a few for a MOC I have, and would appreciate any tips. Thanks in advance. -

[MINI] Lawn Tractor
N-4K0 replied to Eraman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If by this you mean see pics of my built version, I might have to disappoint you. I've never uploaded pics to hosting sites to post on this forum, so God knows how that would go. EDIT: and no parts today... -

[MINI] Lawn Tractor
N-4K0 replied to Eraman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice. I'm waiting for one more BrickLink package from Germany, which I expect on Tuesday, and then I'll build your lawn tractor It will be your original green/yellow LDD version, with some minor modification, most likely. -
Very cool MOC of a great scene are the trans-light blue parts the Brick, Round 2x2 stacked together into columns?

Best solution would be that TLG made a dumper bed specifically designed for the B-model, like they made the bucket for the A-model that would be cool. I do agree, I think they made a very good B-model when you consider that they could only use the parts from the loader. It looks realistic and has the functions it should have, and that's what matters. Of course it's hard to do 100 % when you work with a specific set of parts, but that's where modding comes in. -

If you got parts left up to 200, fill them in the bed and use them as load -

Some lawn mowers have a bio-cut system (if that's the correct term in English), where the grass is cut and "pushed" down into the lawn. The one we have where I live is a bio-cut push mower, and the company I work for, who does various jobs on order from customers such as lawn mowing, has 2 front-cut lawn tractors which I believe are bio-cut mowers as well. Why not say it's a bio-cut lawn tractor? And there's still some clearance on the front axle, even though it's small. So problem solved -
I'm not a fan of vintage cars or crawlers and such, but this looks cool. I like the dark blue one.

I don't have any particular rules, other than allowing myself to modify any part if I need to.

Once you start building do you find it hard to stop?
N-4K0 replied to legoman19892's topic in Community
Same story with me and 42009, actually. I got the set on a Tuesday, and spent 17 hours over 3 days. I blame the urge to see the complete model Other than that, I can't stop until I'm done whenever I have ideas I want to try out on a MOC.
