  1. skppo is right- those shocks will just adjust the camber. There is also too much camber angle in the wheels and it is quite a bit too wide. But a good start and a nice concept. I'll try to build something today and test it out. Good luck on your project! TLH
  2. Yes, it's possible. I'm using one on my latest project; however, due to the contacts on the bottoms of micro motors and 2838 motors, you'll have to use electrical contact plates. TLH
  3. Nice, the dark bley and yellow looks awesome! What's up with the alien head? TLH
  4. My name is TwentyLeggedHen- for no reason whatsoever. I just use it everywhere. I guess it's never taken though... TLH
  5. I'm 99% sure it's the snowmobile suspension arms in the rear. See here: But the question is: why? This is an incredibly lame set. TLH
  6. Absolutely one of the coolest things I've ever seen built with LEGO- words can't describe this. This must be frontpaged. TLH
  7. It looks great! The one thing I like most about it? It actually looks like a rock crawler. The suspension looks really nice too! TLH
  8. Differential, and mostly everything there is to know about suspension- caster, camber, unequal length wishbones, spline shafts, triangulated links, multilink suspension.... the list goes on and on. Some pneumatic things too- although the projects of Mark Bellis just baffle me completely And pretty much everything that has been said in this topic so far. TLH
  9. I think it would go a bit too slow for it to work well - I tried both a 1 cylinder and a 2 cylinder LPE (both with a flywheel) and neither worked very smoothly even with a large manual pump. You should test it out first though, as the LPE's were of my own design and might have some... problems. TLH
  10. Phew. Is it really still 2011? Great model, I missed this and it's very cool! I wonder how he got negative camber on the front axle though.... TLH
  11. Simply beautiful! The way you attached the front lights is genius. TLH
  12. The progress is looking great so far! Looks like it will be very light weight. What battery box are you using? TLH
  13. Looks great so far! Might want to put another degree of freedom on the shock mounts though Or is it completely non-independent? As timslegos said, although they are quite expensive, buggy motors are perfect for something like this. They're a lot faster, and while you could gear up your 2 L-motors, more gearing = more power loss and ultimately a lot less fun. Good luck! TLH
  14. Totally awesome! Can't wait to see them in action. After seeing what Hrafn said, i wonder if they could be used for gearboxes... TLH
  15. The first thing I thought of when I saw the Mixels ball joints was suspension; however, they probably won't work for small models as they have far too much friction (they're more oriented towards poseable figures, mini mecha, etc.). TLH
  16. Good progress there! I'm eager to see what his model looks like with the new color scheme. I have the exact same rubber bands as you TLH
  17. The video is absolutely incredible! The animation is ridiculously good, arguably just as good or better as official LEGO TECHNIC commercials. TLH
  18. Amazing work, lukeandahalf! I was actually just fooling around with the same concept with the turntables, I might have to use it too. May I ask, what is the point in linking the shocks together with 9L links? TLH
  19. Funny that 'Murica's building toy has turned into this abomination, I used to like K'NEX.... About the paper- K'NEX has actually used paper and cardboard frequently with actual K'NEX building sets. But with bricks? Hell no. TLH
  20. Wow, that's HUGE! Can't wait for the result. By the way, I haven't seen all-yellow shock absorbers before- where did you get those? TLH
  21. Your model does not have dual shocks.... Also, you don't have to continuously bump topics to try to publicize your crawler. TLH
  22. I think this decline in K'NEX happened only 4 years ago or so. I remember playing with K'NEX as a kid, and it was awesome. Not sh*tty rip-off LEGO bricks. Although the Yellow Submarine figures aren't half bad. Is there even a market for Family Guy K'NEX sets? TLH
  23. The front suspension is great, good use of the new steering parts. Awesome car! TLH
  24. Both models are really awesome, I just love your B-models! I especially like the tractor TLH
  25. Totally cool, and very compact! Looking forward to the final result! TLH
