  1. Yup. At least for CMF's, but have a look at the new versions of the engine crankshaft piece (in 'yellow')- they look orange and are nearly see-through. Lego uses non-colored ABS pellets instead of pre-dyed ones now, they outsourced production to Flextronics. TLH
  2. ಠ_ಠ Very convincing. If you think this is a piece of garbage, why don't you just build your own goddamn Harley, huh? I don't see a MOC expert tag on your profile.... You really joined Eurobricks just to make that post.... TLH
  3. ^davidmull^ couldn't have said it better- why not both? Surely with the size, there would be more than enough room for autovalves for at least bucket and arm functions. Even with the motors, I won't be buying this set. In fact, a flagship set would have to be absolutely incredible for me to even consider buying it if they think using LA's is so much better than using pneumatics. Maybe this set will impress me, though. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. TLH Edit: oops, wrong page. davidmull's post is two pages back.
  4. I think they may be useful for detailing on a SHIP with an orange color scheme. I have about 5 of the old grey and green brick separators, and I have 3 of the new-style ones (found them at a yard sale for 25 cents each ) TLH
  5. Beautiful, I love when people post Model Team creations for a change! The removable body is really cool, the seats look great too. TLH
  6. Make it pneumatic. If you haven't already, don't buy linear actuators, especially if it's in yellow. Unless you're looking for a smaller scale. But don't forget the Mercedes-Benz logo TLH
  7. Just a question- why does everyone love 8069? It's my only technic set, and it sucks. Manually operated LA's are a major turnoff, and the bucket tilting mechanism is way to complicated and hardly works. The only good thing about that set is the parts IMHO. TLH
  8. Very cool...! I really like the transitions from one part to another, and that house looks really nice. Love the rockwork too. TLH
  9. Very interesting! Cult_Of_Skaro, I think I remember it being mentioned somewhere by LEGO Historian that the Billund archives are missing who-knows-how-many sets. I don't know of anything official online, but I can't be sure it doesn't exist. Where do these images surface? Only Gary Istok knows.... I wonder who contacted him.... Good luck, TLH
  10. Very nice collection you've got there, 'RobNL'! Dat Super Nintendo.... TLH
  11. Very cool idea, maybe not the best performance but certainly a Lego first! Looks very futuristic. Are those 94.4 x 44R wheels? TLH
  12. I was thinking of the same thing as Alasdair, something like Jurgen Krooshoop's JCB 3CX Backhoe..... with pneumatics! I guess I'm dreaming again...
  13. Very cool review, 'Charbel'! It looks just like a real commercial for the product, awesome editing!
  14. Final model looks very nice! But those windows look really tacky. I'm not going to buy this set myself, so I'm looking forward to see what you guys improve in it. TLH
  15. Very cool! Your MOCs are getting better and better! The turning radius looks a bit big though.
  16. Si prega di provare a scrivere in inglese, però, e avere un buon tempo sul forum! Wow, your unimog looks very cool, 'lucapif'! Great job fitting all the RC functions in such a small space. You can go introduce yourself in the 'Hello! My name is...' forum.
  17. Awesome, expensive, huge, ambitious project, zblj! Doc, the custom portal hubs give the vehicle a smaller turning radius. The Unimog portal hubs have to accommodate the 1 stud of space that the dark grey hubs take up.
  18. You guys were thinking of a tank? Hmm. I immediately thought the same thing as Paul, I'm hoping for a high speed racing car. Maybe the return of buggy motors? But I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up, considering the IR system has about 5 feet of range...
  19. That linked pendular suspension is genius! Awesome job, very cool! TLH
  20. I'm pretty sure you're thinking about this the wrong way; you're thinking of speed, not torque. 4 L motors geared 2:1 would increase the torque on the diffs at least 6 times. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Or are you talking about gearing after the differential?
  21. I agree. So many good AMV's with the soundtrack removed or just plain deleted. :cry_sad:
  22. Oops. I see it now. I feel pretty stupid now.
  23. Man, that truck is awesome! The colorscheme is really cool too! BTW Blakbird: Nice renders!
  24. Something maybe like differential steering on a tank? I don't know much about that though. Good luck! TLH
  25. Wow, it's looking great! I do agree with Milan that a different colour could make it look better. Maybe with teal highlights? The parts would be a bit hard to find, but just a few plates for some stripes wouldn't be too costly.
