  1. If you can find a set languishing in Brick and mortor store still it will be cheap since the store owners probably want to sell that thing! Bricklink is good for used sets, or buying parts of to build small sets. EBay prices are always ridiculous.
  2. I might order it. I could use the VIP points I guess. If I had the time though I'd rather make the 2 hour drive to the nearest Lego Store.
  3. It's official alright.
  4. Last night I worked my first shift at a new job. 2 hours in I smiled because I finaly had earned enough money to purchase Umarak the Hunter :) I will be trying to get Umarak once my paycheck comes in; but I can't find him for sale at any of the stores I check. It's weird. He better show up soon or I'll divert the funds to other purposes. :(
  5. I haven't seen those visorahk in years ;) Big spiders.
  6. Just a rusty Matoran :)
  7. I think a lot of collectible minifigures could have parts needed to make figures based on certain countries. But some figures (like the Pope) are probably unlikely to see Lego form due to their rule to avoid religious statements. A few country themed minifigures that come to mind: U.S.- Western themed sets; some modular building like the Detective's Office and the Firehouse. Mexico- Collectible Minifigure Mariachi Performer France- Parisian Restaurant Modular Building UK- Olympics Collectible Minifigures Germany- Upcoming Soccer Minifigures Japan- Classic Ninja Castle Theme I feel a lot of countries (such as those in South America) are underrepresented in Lego (Although we do have a guy in a tribal mask from Peru in an Indianna Jones set from Crystal Skull).
  8. Well now that Bricks and Pieces is back it looks like I can buy that Brick for $0.17 a piece (Element ID #6000311). Not cheap but it will save me from shopping hundereds of Bricklink sellers. I might redesign the shed a bit to use only half the number of profile bricks. https://wwwsecure.us.lego.com/en-us/service/replacementparts/sale
  9. I'll nickname it an "EX-Wing" since it blends the E-Wing and X-Wing designs. I like it.
  10. Yeah I think the Constitution is a great set; but its an era which doesn't draw me as much as later rail history. Trains like the Constitution were small Engines that only lasted until larger trains arrived on the scene. The eras that interest me is the early 1900's were the big black steam train entered the scene and the garnish of the previous century was lost; the 1950's transition era (diesels and steam together!), and off course the modern era. Now if the new Lego Train is an early 4-4-0; I will be happy to get any train; although I'd rather have a big 2-8-2; a 4-6-2, or dare I say a 4-8-4 :)
  11. I love this MOD! Makes me want to enlarge mine to handle double stack container trains!
  12. Wow. Just amazing. Spectacular prototypical appearance. The engine servicing yard looks like something straight out of a model railroading magazine. Wow, just wow.
  13. I sure hope it comes online soon, I need to get those rare bricks from a place cheaper than Bricklink!
  14. Thrawn is back in canon! :)
  15. Yeah the AC unit on the roof is part of my imagined history for the shed. The main shed was built in the steam era, while the extended area to the side was added in the diesel era. The good thing is if I want to change that history it will be an easy process to remove the AC unit. :)
  16. Maybe it is like the Dread Pirate Roberts from the Princess Bride? :)
  17. To think, I only got one Krana per Bohrok yet there in the same mold were the other 7 I lacked... Pooh.
  18. Thanks! With the Disney-Lucasfilm merger I am surprised that this ISN'T a vehicle depicted in an actual set. If it wasn't for some Disney employees who contacted Lucasfilm to make a Star Wars ride in the 1980's the two companies probably would never have merged.
  19. The inspection pit is one detail I wish I could add. :) And to answer Lego Train 12 Volt's question; I am on the job hunt right now to find the funds for school, food, and Lego! This will be my first large scale System Bricklink/Pick a Brick build! (All my previous Bricklink purchases were Bionicle, so I am excited to face the challenge of purchasing 400+ 1x2 Bley Brick pattern bricks) The total amount of bricks in the model is 1765 bricks. I guestimate that the final price will be between $150-$220 USD.
  20. Christmas train rumors. Excellent :)
  21. Great model! The E-Wing is a favorite Legends Starfighter of mine because it mirrors the look and history of the F-4 Phantom. Well done!
  22. Those additional two feet definitely are improving the look of the layout, since the tracks look a bit more spaced out from each other. I will be interested to see where this goes.
  23. I was actually thinking earlier today on how to build something similar, a small electric switch engine for use in a large smelter complex. I figured I'd have to use 9Volt there, despite how PF is my favorite system. Great to see your model captures all that I thought of, and it is well detailed and stunning to!
  24. Very great looking SD-40, that is one of my favorite locomotives!
