  1. I am so glad my "Customize/sharpie" desires went on my army men and none of my Lego sets. :P Honestly I am surprised he even sold those masks in that condition.
  2. I don't know if it would be Lego safe; but a lot of model railroaders use Isopropyl Alcohol to strip paint of plastic models. They leave the plastic in alcohol for a night, then they brush it with a cheap toothbrush. I'd test it first with an old brick; just to be sure it works on Lego plastic. Make sure to rinse the piece with water afterwards.
  3. Yep; raising those plates make it spot on. Probably one of the best EMD Diesel noses I have seen in Lego. If I ever build a EMD in Lego I'll probably use your design for inspiration. And as promised; my photo collection of SD-70ACe units. Particularly a recent photo I took of UP 8334 shows the roof rather well. Sorry if the photos load slowly; RRPictureArchives isn't the fastest website. http://xboxtravis.rrpicturearchives.net/locoList.aspx?mid=496
  4. It is short; but the shaping is perfect! Raise it up a few plates(or a brick) and it will be spot on! Also the area around the horn should be curved. I'll link my photos of SD-70 units later today when I am on my laptop so you can see the roof shape.
  5. The thing about Civil War that it has which interests me more are the characters. I feel like we have followed the MCU since 2008, and as such the stakes are much higher. But DC's stuff... I can't help shake the feeling that their current strategy is "copy Marvel's moves." Which is a real shame! The Nolan Batman films were close to perfect; it seemed like DC could have become the "high brow" superhero filmmaker. But BvS just feels like to much to soon. Plus this is only the second film in their franchise, I don't have any attachments to the characters like I do in the MCU.
  6. Oh dear! FBI: "We need to monitor this Lego site more. Drug dealers are using this Bricklink thing to sell their wares!"
  7. Now AFOL's sneak their way into a lot of places. Next week I am going to the Hostlers Railroad show were the ULUG traditionally has a huge Lego train layout. I'm excited to see it!
  8. I just love seeing a 2-8-0 come together; those were renowned freight engines world wide. Good work!
  9. Storm and Lava for the win!
  10. Great figs; glad I own it. But the set itself is lacking, hilariously so.
  11. Well the poetic fun had to be done somewhere. ;)
  12. That was the era I was still a KFOL; so I own several of the Galidor sets from that time frame (three of which are mentioned on the LUGnet list as the worst!). I've reviewed a few Galidor sets on Brickset here: http://brickset.com/...2/theme-Galidor I am kind of forgiving on them, because I am bemused that as a kid I had my parents get me what are considered the worst Lego sets of all time! :P
  13. Good point, I had realized Pohatu's Adaptive armor form used Hordika Arms to give him wide shoulders. Still, I feel the parts in the vehicle form are common enough it would be an easy MOD. Just switch out the wrist pieces; simplify the torso, and bricklink the helmet visor with wings sticking from the head and that is a pretty close appropriation to his vehicle form. But then again the whole Inika build era is becoming a blur in my memory; so they all kind of look the same to me right now :P
  14. I just got my first title recently: "Probably plays PS4"
  15. It will show on the normal version, but by using the mobile version it hides titles and signatures.
  16. I totally was surprised today when I noticed a short line under my profile picture saying: "Probably plays PS4..." I laughed; hard. I don't now how long it has been there since I normally use my phone to check Eurobricks, and titles don't display there. Then I had to promptly search this topic and find out what it was about. :)
  17. Honestly though looking at the photos of Pohatu's vehicle form; it really looks like there are only 3 or 4 pieces different from his Adaptive Armor form. http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/Gallery:Pohatu_(Generation_1)
  18. Never to early! Just hope it is not another giant robot...
  19. I shove sticks into the ice cream on a stick machine. Then I clean the ice cream up if it spills on the floor. After I finish paying my way through college I hope to have a x10 pay increase in a new job.
  20. SHELBY COBRA!! Heck yes. And a red Ferrari Barchetta? I could play with Lego listening to Rush music all day long with a set like that.
  21. Trolling? Or a novice with no idea that The Lego Group is the official company name? Either way, that's really funny. Oh, great MOC by the way!
  22. Bwhahahaha. I enjoy BZp, but their thread revival rules are ridiculous most of the time. And yes, bring on your Pohatu review!
  23. To find "the most hated set" I think it has to be a set with obviously general hatred. For example, while themes such as Bionicle, Nexo Knights, and what not have got criticism from a lot of AFOL's; there are also a lot of AFOL's who would defend them with a passion (I'd do it for Bionicle since the theme was a HUGE part of my Lego experience as a kid, not saying that all the sets were perfect; but it had plenty of its moments). However some themes/sets are criticized universally, such as Galidor, Clickits, Znaps, and Iron Man vs. the Flaming Golf Cart. Were the criticism is universal, I think we have a good contender for the "most hated." Just because a few FOL's dislike a theme doesn't qualify it for being "the worst" but if the hatred is universal it is a pretty clear indicator. I think reading the reviews on Eurobricks and Brickset should give an idea about the worst sets too. FBTB would be another good place to read because its reviewers are a lot more critical than the rest of the Lego community. Brickset's ability to search for ratings would be useful to find "one star sets. "
  24. What is this? Vogon poetry?
  25. Model railroad stores sell decals for train products. O-Gauge is roughly close in scale to Lego Trains, so the stickers can be compatible. When in doubt, use photos of the real engine to see if the stickers are sized right. A water slide decal produces better looks than a sticker, but it's results are more permenant. I don't know how well they'd work on Lego.
