  1. That link has a part number you can search on the stud.io - 38799pb01 would be the one to try. Or it would be under the part category Minifig Utensil.
  2. is is a minifig saucer/plate currently only in sets as a decorated part as far as I can find.
  3. A roof of a vehicle from Fabuland. Nice find.
  4. You are both being quite rediculous in your interactions. If you Scarilian, had mentioned earlier that your catagories encompassed those set by another fan resource, a lot of the argument that "you don't get" the actual remit of the names for themes you choose to use would have been avoided. Your past posts seemed to ignore any and all polite discussion, in favour of arguing with a specific set of users. Fuppylodders, I think it is best to leave it alone now, danth had the right idea a long time ago. This whole thing has been a farce; just like any "fan" vote for anything. Hopefully staff won't end up having to lock the thread.
  5. There are no new sets for the theme, it has ended. Therefore there is no discussion thread for new or upcoming sets. The subforum is the place for MOCs and other discussion on the theme, but the yearly threads are current product only.
  6. The image uploader on the forum is for avatars, so very small images. To put photos in posts, it is advisable to use another image host to upload photos and then you link them here.
  7. Yes, in the 90s, 2002 was future! We could have been mining on Neptune or at the very least Europa, just like we were going to have flying cars and hover-boards in 2015.
  8. Yeah, the globe is an ornament. A curio for your desk or study to be really marketed at the afol (lower case); the person who thinks LEGO is neat but are not dedicated hobbyists like an AFOL, the target market of the Art sets, if you would. To argue that it is within the scope of Space as an overarching theme is quite strange. Also, the vote was nothing to do with a "deserving" theme winning, (that being, a theme that has not had a recent release. In which case: Adventurers was robbed!), But was everything to do with a gesture to fans on the 90th anniversary. What interests me would be what the voting stats would be if only the voted cast by accounts that interacted with Ideas prior to the poll were counted. Ergo, exclude voting by accounts registered after the poll opened ( like we do here for contest votes). I wonder what difference there would be, even down to total voted cast.
  9. Not got detailed sources, but I am an example of it. I have an anxiety disorder, medically diagnosed with it too. I find that following the steps of a LEGO set and putting together the set to be extremely helpful when I face a period of anxiety and panic attacks. It can help me calm from an episode brought on by my triggers like nothing else can. There is something about the illustrated steps to follow, the feel of finding the required parts and the noise of bricks rattling together and clicking into place. Another thing that can help me is sorting the parts, going through a pile of mixed parts or taking apart a set to its elements is a focus that moves your thoughts from the cycle of anxiety onto something else; an action that will help immensely as an anxiety attack really is a spiralling self-perpetuating cycle that can last for days and weeks if left untreated/not faced. It is a Mindfulness exercise if you break it down to the most basic core principal, and there are plenty of articles from accredited sources that cite Mindfulness as a useful cognitive therapy for anxiety disorders/ depression. I am unsure if anyone is conducting a study into the use of LEGO specifically, but it is a tool/toy/item that ticks a lot of the boxes for effective use in cognitive therapy.
  10. JopieK I have to say OP, much concern and I hope this is resolved well for you. I have only ever had good experiences with deliveries from LEGO, not even a rumpled box. It is shocking to think that people are dipping into postal packages.
  11. Right, will have to go and check that out. I always saw the second wave as a poor attempt (hella ugly, sorry) at carrying on the nice designs of wave one. Though, got to wonder if they found some way to weasle it as three years, as that does happen from time to time.
  12. It looks like you have a Mixels set. Snoof is the source of the blue parts. I am not sure about the other darker shaded ones, that will take some more looking... Edit: You have two Mixels sets! Gox is the other one,
  13. Maybe in the Echo Chamber of Dedicated Bionicle fandom sites that is what people like to conclude. However, the sets were in stores, on the toy department shelves and sold. They sold so well that my goal of picking up sets on clearance to collect the gold masks (got projects in mind) was blown out of the water; All of them were gone before clearance/sale time. Even in The Entertainer who sell things at more than retail, certainly at the Lego Store near me and despite my efforts and many many locations to seek out LEGO (where I had seen full price stock) I couldn't find any. Heck, nothing even arrived at TKMax, which can be relied upon for the odd overstocked sets come Christmas Shopping season. Conjecture it may be, but it was my experience. What fans can forget is the target audience of kids might not engage in the theme the same way our generation did. (I was a kid who remembers the first wave G1, I played the game on LEGO.com, I eagerly awaited the release of The Mask of Light and treasure the trans-neon yellow Lewa mask I got for free at LEGOLand). There are a lot more distractions crowding out everything that a 30 y/o would have engaged with as a child so the theme either did not have the success TLG hoped for, or, like many themes, it was only planned for two waves. It was mentioned earlier, but Ninjago is the absolute exception to the rule of most themes/subthemes. Something that does not last as long is not a failure, it simply runs as planned in the first place. Anywho; maybe the popularity in the vote will set in motion another try at Constraction? I am sure it will not be what all the G1 fans want (new stuff seldom is what any G1 fans want in any fandom) but it will at least supply new parts to play around with.
  14. I'll drop my two pennies worth here: EB is not a billboard, so if you take the time to be a part of the community you are likely to have more support from members. As others have said; Make a MOC thread in the correct location of the Forum, tells us a bit about it and then mention that it is a project on Ideas. Putting VOTE FOR MY IDEAS MOC in the thread title, the first paragraph or even before any photos/renders is a big no no. We often have projects dumped in by passing "members" who are doing the digital equivalent of flyposting, and like any owners of a space who don't really want to be an advertising board, we remove them. However, more recently I created a thread where the least efforts get put. So, share something with thought in the presentation and be a part of the community and support will come from EB members. I think other places that are suited to more Drop and Run posts are Instagram, Facebook, TikTok etc. For photo hosting: Flickr is popular and I have also found that Imgur is useful to. You can upload them there and simply paste the permalink of the image into a forum post to deeplink the image. I hope you find succes.
  15. Does anyone truly trust a business? I hardly trust a company, except to accept my money and supply goods or services. (Unless it is insurance, then I can only trust that they will take my money...), it was nice to be offered a vote and I participated. However, it was one of those times I shrugged and hoped that maybe what I would like could happen.
  16. There is plenty of technic originating parts in those sets. They're also hella ugly, but that is besides the point.
  17. Found your gear wheel: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2907#T=C
  18. Thin coat of PVA glue. Either under the peeling edge or as a layer over the whole sticker. Dries clear and it can be taken off with water and should not harm the plastic or even the sticker.
  19. A slight salt solution may help. It helps break down some glues. Next step is some more hefty chemicals, but I can't vouch for how they effect plastic.
  20. Uh, we have sort of drifted from topic here. You are welcome to continue to discuss the issues surrounding a Western theme elsewhere, I can even transplant the posts. However, the topic has detached from the subject of the thread. Thanks
  21. They tried in the past to "represent" race in yellow figures with some of the minifigures from basketball. It did not look good.
  22. Gutted for Adventurers, I loved and love that Theme so much, I can only accumulate throwbacks in new sets; the very Pippin Reed looking city figure, the sticker in Ninjago City Gardens... There is still a lot of love for the theme, so I can keep on seeking easter eggs. If, ultimately, Bionicle does win I don't think it will look anything like what people would hope for, which will be a shame for the fans.
  23. 'kay, the butthurt is strong here. If you are going to to turn the discussion into a personal beef with everyone who is not a whole-hearted fan of Bionicle, I would advise you step back for a while and cool your head. If there is a rich community of Bionicle fans, maybe it is better to go and giggle with glee with them for a while, instead of trying to pick fights in a forum that caters to all FOLs, no matter their favourites.
  24. This is excellent! While we had slightly different format in the UK, it is still a great trip down memory lane for the inserts and catalogues I poured over as a child. Thanks for doing this!
  25. The question begs, will they then go ahead and buy the set that gets released? I don't hate Bionicle, I had sets as a kid, bought a few of the reboot sets a few years ago and picked up a little more constraction here and there. I even have a Bionicle MOC planned for my projects this year (9 for 90 years), but to represent the anniversary of LEGO, it is a strange choice . Imagine if they had split Bionicle the same way Space and Castle was split? Got to say too: Gatekeeping never stopped me for anything, but you get that attitude as a FFOL and all around non-conformist type of girl. Though I also understand some people find it tough going, it is just a lot more enjoyable in life to not really care what the curmudgeons say.
