  1. Ok, looks like it will have to be changed, there are a lot of confusing bits of stats: make it an energy type gun. Sorry about changes on the fly!
  2. "Aye sir!" Aysu had her goggles over her eyes, flicked the safety off and stepped to C5, taking aim and firing at Rat B. OOC:Let's pretend the goggles are around her neck, I couldn't get anything to stay put for a photo, but they are equipped!
  3. "Yeah, the way things are going, I don't think the stairs are a great option either. At least until we get the problem down here sorted."
  4. "Sorry about getting distracted sir." Aysu bowed her head a little. "How long have you been trapped down here?"
  5. "Oh, a maths riddle!" Aysu read over the note again. "Hmm, so five cats take five minutes for five mice. So they each caught a mouse a minute; no wait..." Aysu mumbled to herself. "Okay, ok... Five cats each caught five mice in five minutes. They all took those five minutes to catch a mouse. But if there were one hundred mice to catch and they had one hundred minutes, it would still be Five Cats needed." She looked at the code lock. "So, do I put 0005? or just 5? We should've brought along a hacker!"
  6. "If that's not the one making a noise, I want to check the books. We might find something useful or just fun for later."
  7. "Bet that was a scout, so now they know we're here." Aysu felt unsettled, this was her first job as a hero so she had to get it right! "Okay, yeah, checking out what is having a groan, I'm coming too."
  8. "Now that I can help with!" Aysu went to help force the door.
  9. "Uh, not anything delicate. Mum and Dad just had us strip the wrecked stuff to parts and I was always better at shooting..."
  10. Our Suburban/semi-rural area had a number of fruit bearing plants. Some of those are tasty treats, others will make you riotously sick! (When you are small, the juicy and pretty berries are quite attractive and sometimes the difference between good berry and bad berry was hard to see)
  11. Hi. Lifelong FFOL here. My mother was determined that the only restrictions to play time for us kids was "do not violence others" and prevention of us damaging ourselves seriously (grazes and bumps are one thing. Accidental poisoning and broken bones/concussion were advised against and prevented). There was no gendering of the toys, we could play with what we liked. So, I had toy cars and planes. Duplo from the word go. My sister is less than two years younger than me. She loved trains, Thomas the Tank Engine (Percy was her best favourite) but she also adored Princesses and fairies and sparkles. (Still does). We played LEGO together, but she was never engaged. I built jets and cars for me, hotels and restaurants for her. Minifigures were not as appealing to her. Many years later, Friends is introduced and she is hooked. Married, in her own home, but buying and requesting LEGO sets. The minidoll themes have captured her attention and imagination. Great for me and her husband, we can gift her a Cinderella set or something with Sleeping Beauty in and tick all the boxes! I love that my sister is finally getting something she enjoys in LEGO. I don't personally need those themes and minidolls, but my sister and girls like her have a building toys that appeal. I welcome the new fans and won't ever gatekeep. Telling people that the thing that appeals to them shouldn't, that is gatekeeping. It is frustrating that among AFOLs and FFOLs there is this vein of people determined to reject minidoll themes. I don't understand why, is it threatening to you? It doesn't undermine anything, or damage anything. It simply draws in a section of the market who were neglected or outright maligned previously.
  12. Aysu rocked on her heels as the elevator travelled. At least the ride was smooth so far.
  13. What you can do is, using the download this photo option from your photostream. Select View All Sizes. There are a lot of photo size options, including Thumbnail and at least two Square Options This is a 150x150 square I simply chose that size then copied the image using the right-click and menu that comes up, but you can also directly copy the URL and the forum software inserts the image That one is now a linked thumbnail! After pasting the photo in, I double clicked the image and a menu appeared. I put a larger image size URL into the Link URL and hit Update. Now the small image will link to the larger one. Hope this is easy to follow
  14. In quest thought process: Aysu has seen this film and knows how it can go!
  15. "Ok, great and great!" Aysu shouldered her gun. "I'm ready to head out too with you guys."
  16. "Okay, clear the chute and then have a slide. Uh, there aren't any like, compactors or choppers around the place? Like, whole rooms where the walls push towards each other to squash the trash? Or lasers that slice it into tiny cubes? Y'know, just in case." Aysu's grin was a little plastered on, "Or, uh, tunnels full of inexplicable flame throwers?" Aysu started to go through her mental catalogue of the trash she had seen outside, a good metal staff to poke with would be ideal...
  17. "Awesome place you got here." Aysu couldn't help glancing at each new pile and stack she sighted. Her family had never struggled, because they had always picked up any and all salvage, it was a habit she was loath to break. "Worse than rats then? Or are they like, really really big ones? Rodents of Unusual Size were pretty contrary to their name some places I've been!"
  18. "Yup, what Valesia said, hired at the hall." She spotted the candy. "Ooh, sweeties, yes please!" Munching on brittle she spoke between bites, "Thought I could talk some rats out of the place, and when that don't work I can pop a few warning shots in. Always worked on the wrecks."
  19. Aysu was starry-eyed at the prime salvage stacked in piles around her. Mentally pricing it all up. 'Could live for nearly three cycles on the credits from this lot...' Shaken from the junk-fever by the Quo'ri she smiled. "Hi! I'm Aysu. I don't know the gal who hired us. I kinda wanted to see what amazing and valuable salvage there was..." Catching herself Aysu grinned nervously. "I mean, I fancied something familiar for my first ever task as a hero!"
  20. "Hey cool." Aysu drained her drink. "Time to put this to real use." She hefted the rifle.
  21. "Ah, mostly sweet and fizzy." Aysu laughed. "Though if there is more of a kick to come I'll enjoy it! Hopefully won't put off my aim when the tech comes to fetch us for the job." She heard names called and gave a wave to the people leaving.
  22. Currently, I think Kinetic. Not exactly bullets fired, but something like it (Hence, Environment Safe Ammunition. Damage what you want to, not the wall between you and the void of space). If I get anything to give it an elemental upgrade I might, but right now it is the space equivalent of something to go sport/trap shooting with.
  23. At the same time, that is a unique and fun looking avatar?
  24. Seeing as no one can stay on topic now: Thanks for the review Bob. Comments closed unless he decides otherwise.
  25. Kay, this is a site for LEGO. No one is playing nice. The argumentative have forced my hand. Locked
