"Or are they your buddies?" Aysu asked, she had noticed the affection from the little creatures. It reminded her of the ship's cat that had always like to sleep on her feet back home.

Why would a being living in an advanced future space setting with roots in a fantasy source be using English curses? Take it as a chance to develop a situation suitable set of words. Most swear words are derived from Blasphemies, Copulation or Bodily Function. There are deities in Heroica, a curse would refer to them or their sphere of influence. There are very many ways to refer to the act of procreation (or going solo) and if used with enough vehemence (or by being Australian!) Anything can mean that. As for bodily functions, in super future space, there are a few more things to choose from (alien biology, cybernetic and robotic malfunction etc). This has been a Creative Writing 101.

"It is complicated enough to trigger, so I think it might be better to keep hold of it. Maybe if we act like it is part of our equipment, not something we plan to use?"

Keeping her voice low, Aysu touched her gun, "I was hoping we could parlay something with them. There are probably some much nice warm spaces on the station that won't cause problems."

Some of the stuff we block is because we got fed up of seeing it, some was blocked because loud and complaint prone members got their panties in a twist if they come across it. Don't forget the issues looking for Sussex University when at school! (I do wonder if that would have actually impacted people applying to go? I know some lazy friends who would quickly move on!) So, the filter is in place to deal with keeping things at least kind of polite? But from a US English standard. After all, some posts elsewhere can be unreadable because of wannabe "gangsta" teenagers being unable to use a non-offensive word without at least two swears to sandwich it in. Honestly, as staff, I don't think it applies to my posts and I don't use "language" often so it hasn't affected me (plus, I have been staff like, ten years, so I can't remember incidental stuff like what got filtered). But when people get offended and claim abusive behaviour if you disagree with them strongly, I think we will keep the swears out.

"Ouch, thanks for the heal." Aysu shook her arms a little, that had been a slicey journey. "Our ratty friend ran away, I guess we have to follow for a chat."

"No, I'm alright." Aysu said, "Down is good."

"There are lots of great places to live that aren't a garbage chute." Aysu added, hoping that she sounded friendly enough.

Aysu follows the others, the bomb safely tucked away for later. "Good job I am a shooter, huh, trailing at the back."

Aysu looked at the chute, tight spaces were fine. "Mr Grumble, shall I take that bomb with me, just in case."

Felt a bit Tricksy to me, I filled it in though

"Ok, so I'll hang on to this until we need it then, hopefully we won't..."

"Can I just Check the Bag? If you have Mr Grumble covered, we might find some clue, or something handy for later. I mean, it either came out of the chute first or was left by the chute before." Aysu gingerly prodded at the sack, ready for more surprises.

Aysu flicked the safety back on her gun and shouldered it once more. "Oh, I want to see more of the galaxy, travel some. A Scrapper gets to go to lots of places, but they are already pretty wrecked." She grinned. "I was always the best at shooting any of the pests while we salvaged so my parents suggested Heroica when they saw an ad-holo." Considering the question a little more, Aysu spoke a little softer. "I kind of want to figure out what I could be too. Being green, I sorta always knew I wasn't human like my family. But we aren't sure of any facts." She shrugged finally.

"Alrighty, Rat A, say cheese."
