  1. A question that might not have an answer quite yet; Can we get hold of the shirt being used in the promotional videos for the new Women's football set? I really like the design and as a football fan and a LEGO fan, it would be great to have. I found the Adidas collection of sports kit and have ordered the green shirt, but I would love it if I could get the red and white shirt from the video.
  2. Of course, you can create a thread in the forum that is the best fit for the theme of the build.
  3. Wow, this is lovely! I remember playing with/learning to take photos with my Dad's SLR, it did look a lot like that (A great childhood privilege was to be entrusted to carry it). The vignettes are excellent designs, all around lovely. Thanks for sharing and I wish you luck on Ideas.
  4. On Eurobricks, the upload/attach image is not for MOC photos, it is very limited and small as we can't afford to run the site with everyone's MOC photos on the server! The upload space you have on your account is for an avatar image. Because we can't host all the photos, we encourage people to use another site like Bricksafe, Flickr etc, these are Image Hosts, then you can deeplink the pictures into your thread (Sometimes as simple as pasting the image address from the site into the post editor here). All MOCs shared here have photos on another website, so you could easily follow the pic to the image website and then share a link to that site from here. No thread bumping and a handy way to send people to the original build. There are some tutorials for deeplinking images here on the site too, though I am happy to help if you have any troubles.
  5. It could also be courteous to post a link in your thread to the original thread if it is much older (assuming you still have a link!) or a link to the original MOC on whichever image hosting site. That way, if others also want to comment on the original MOC, it will be on the image host comments and not bump up very old threads here on the forum. I believe it is acceptable to post comments on image hosts years after the fact, as you find the picture through tags and curated collections.
  6. Telescope. In black of course. There are a lot of colour options, I love using them in places like that.
  7. Wonderful colour and just the sort of thing for this category. A great character focused piece.
  8. That is really sweet. I have a great time building with family too, helped my youngest sibs and I "build" a good relationship. This theme looks excellent for that sort of cooperative building fun.
  9. I hope you had some tasty pizzas. Hopefully I can be there again soon!
  10. Many tempting choices, but I had to go with UFO, I loved the larger sets on the little catalogue sheets LEGO used to do and I only ever got the smaller impulse sets. The alien designs were my favourites and it is not a theme that has had many callbacks if any really. Not to mention, I would love to see those dish shapes recreated with modern techniques in set design! Fun poll
  11. Not super easy, the construction does not lend itself to taking apart, in fact the only time I have ever managed it was with some very poor quality bootlegs that came in pieces already.
  12. If you truly want to create multiple builds, go for it.
  13. If you want to take my post as a personal attack, that is entirely your prerogative, I was merely stating the potential intent of the poster. Not intending to cause offence. I see you are choosing to take the aggressive position and are illustrative of cultural differences everyone has to deal with over the internet. No one choice is superior to the other, however eight is not an age where it is harmful to explain disability in the more basic terms. Brutal detail is not necessary or demanded, is it. As your question has been answered and all that seems to be going on is more arguments out there, I think locking is best. Enjoy the solution there are a lot of colours to choose from. Maybe don't get anything with Paisley in it, that might require a discussion on neuro-divergent folks. So many of us live with invisible disability. Plus at least one set has a wheelchair user, FYI.
  14. Hey OP I think Maple is reacting to that. Or the part where you were "baffled" by the lack of visible prosthetic. Bit of a worse reaction than a child simply asking about the differences of others in the usual way of a curious and observant kid. There is no demand for a fantasy where no one is disabled or anything like that. It entirely reads as a bit of a "dunk" on you. I work in a business/social enterprise specifically set up to allow employment for those less able, in an industry that supplies adaptations and aids for people to live their life, so I am pretty experienced in it too. So, you might not be aware that many people born with limbs missing sometimes can't be bothered with using a prosthetic or don't see the need for it. Why should they change themselves to conform to a "Normal" demanded by certain sections of society. Others may find them uncomfortable or even painful to wear and will use then only when they really really have to. The excuse of "riding a horse" is pretty poor, differently able equestrians exist and can ride way better than fully physically able me I can tell you! (horses are big and scary). Please don't minimod guys, Maple, Murdoch If you read something that upsets you outside of the normal thread of discussion (aka this) report it and leave it alone. I know many people want to see an immediate or even visible reaction to things, but sometimes staff will have a private chat or message the user to explain the issue and settle the situation. Like here, where from your perspective it read on way but from another it read in a way that could have resulted in the original post getting a report.
  15. Hmm, it looks like it might be the case on this close-up.
  16. No problems. This is a good reason for a name change.
  17. So Dreamzzz has a few nice accessories that will work well in Adventure builds. A new backpack that looks useful and the arms to strike a pose. A no brainer is Yavin base, as it is an actual ancient site IRL, Tikal is super cool and it would be easy to dress the structure up.
  18. I use baseplates and figure accessories. Oh, and any stickers that fit what I like (Mostly Aviation decals and Racing numbers). Personal choice is what I would go with, as long as they are not entering contests with rules about such things. 3D printing is interesting for solving issues that LEGO can't, it has opened up a lot of possibilities.
  19. To add to the grey discussions: Old Grey may or may not been created using dyes that had lead in them in some capacity. Of course, when first manufactured it was not seen as an issue (I would hazard a guess that lead soldier kits were still out there to buy) and when they stopped it was when rules were being tightened up. Today there are even more regulations to prevent harmful materials in children's toys. It is possible that LEGO could maybe get a pigment match created, but it is honestly kind of a drab shade where LEGO bricks are pretty vibrant now. So, apart from a few very dedicated fans, there is not a big market demand for it.
  20. Looks great! I will really have to pull myself together and build to enter at least one of these.
  21. Hopefully there has not been a message that it was delayed! Looks like we rode through fine otherwise. My job was affected by the Rackspace downtime on Tuesday, so an amusing coincidence for me
  22. @Jim The server is in Central European Time right?
  23. Nougat seems to be the new term in place of Flesh.
  24. They do look a lot like Tente ones. This eBay listing photo has a good look at those wheels/cones https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0933PR28M?tag=picclick02-21&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1 This amazon listing has a good side view. If you compare them to these pictures it might prove true.
  25. Sure you can. Of course presenting the whole set as an entry won't count .
