  1. There are multiple guilds that use the dragon insignia. No shield or crest is solely reserved for a specific guild's use.
  2. Identical topics merged. First post updated with Sheepeater's linked pictures.
  3. The blacksmith shop was a pretty amazing army builder (of sorts) with the dragon knight, the blacksmith, the 5 new weapons and a chicken!
  4. I also disagree about free build points. I don't build for points, I build to create something I want to create. Free build points are a nice bonus, but not a motivation for me. I also would be opposed to ranks. I think that would make GoH less appealing to newcomers. Titles are what you can earn for recognition, although I wouldn't be opposed to providing a little weight to some of the titles.
  5. The guild history is open ended on purpose. You write the history for your personal territories and characters, but there are not overarcing story lines except for what is presented by the Guild Leaders in the challenge descriptions. This gives members the freedom to create whatever they want. There are also some basic histories for each guild on the first page of it's respective thread.
  6. These high end exclusives are the perfect opportunity for one shot figs, like Grima or Radagast or an exclusive torso print. I personally would not want repeat figures or non-uniques (as army building with them would be prohibitively expensive) in this set, other than the necessary one of Saruman.
  7. I picked up some for 30% off at one target after Christmas, but the other 5 targets I checked were not discounting it. I would recommend picking up any of the first sets now as I rarely see them any more. My Lego store hasn't had anything but Orc Forge (which they had like 20 of) but now they are out of those too.
  8. CCGs/TCGs are a different situation because many people end up buying a complete box or more of a particular card set, and the rarity still is not usually limited to 5,000 in total unless it's a signed card or something similar. A lot of collector's buy the 12 or 20 figures they want and not an entire case, plus a card set will often have 60 rares which means 60 packs minimum for a set, plus chases. Legos are a comPletely different realm, and the majority of collectors don't end up buying 30 figs let alone 60.
  9. I sincerely hope that the Lego Western Colonel is in no way supposed to represent Custer.
  10. Better chance!?? BETTER CHANCE!?? With an extra month, you should have no excuse for not submitting a build!
  11. I had meant Aragorn and Arwenin royal attire.
  12. My purchases have all been off Bricklink recently to bull up my castle armies for my historica build coming up. I also picked up some Moria and Mordor Orcs as well as some assorted acessories.
  13. I made sure to state that it was indeed my opinion, as I have friends that swear by Blu-Ray. I was unaware of the Blu-Rays that played DVDs - this could make a huge difference on my views of Blu-Rays. BACK ON SUBJECT (i should not have added fuel to the dvd-blu-ray debate ) I would expect Orthanc to come with 3 - 6 figures, with Saruman the only certainty. I could see a couple options for the figures that would accompany Saruman: Grima, Gandalf, Merry & Pippin Gandalf and Radagast (very unlikely though) TreeBeard, Merry & Pipin (I don't expect this set to come with an Ent sadly) King and Queen of Gondor, Gandalf, Elrond and a sprinkling of Hobbits (I find this very unlikely as well)
  14. Fort Legorado always seemed to be separate from the Western City in my mind. Also, there was never a specific year assigned to the Wild West sets to my knowledge, but there are obviously others here that have other Lego sources/publications to draw from. The names of sets changed based on translation. I remember that uppn occasion I would get British or European? catalogs in my sets and they would have different names for practically every set.
  15. I do like Lego's trend of releasing exclusive figures we would not have itherwise seen with non-Lego products, even if I don't care about the Bilbo figure. I would love to see an exclusive Aragorn or Faramir figure with a future product IF they would not be releasing it otherwise. Also, Blu-Ray is practically worthless IMO unless you have a very large television. It may make a small difference otherwise, but I don't notice it. Like DL, I have no interest in spending thousands of dollars to replace 500 dvds with a moderately better media. That and most of the dvds I own have not been released on DVD, and this is especially true with TV series. Blu-ray is the biggest rip off since Beta.
  16. I was able justify purchasing Lego LotR for the Warrior Elrond figure, but I can't justify the Unextended Hobbit for a Bilbo variant.
  17. I don't expect them to release this figure in another set. They did not release the video game Elrond figure, nor the celebration Han and Luke.
  18. My favorite series to date!!! LOVE the revolutionary soldier, the tomahawk warrior, the amazon princess and the Roman commander (who is so much more useful than castle than I expected) and the Medusa if far better than I had envisioned. AMAZING! Thanks Grogall!
  19. I have placed 8 bricklink orders this month and 3 were missing parts or had the wromg parts. Good thong I was checking!
  20. Congratulations Torgar! Also glad to hear you are building for CH VI
  21. It would be awesome if they did, but I too highly doubt it.
  22. Thanks for posting this link Chosen. It us fine to speculate about what will be in the sets we know are coming prior to full details being released (Orthanc) but if you just want to say what sets you'd like to see in the future, that belongs in the speculation thread or a "wishlist" thread.
  23. I personally would prefer they not include a firefighter unless there is going to be a significant change. The police officer was nice because he had the new hat. Isn't the paramedic already covered with the standard hospital torsos that are already out there? I think there is a lot if potential with the Tiki warrior fig. I don't remember if we saw any of the pieces for it yet...
