When it came down to it, this was one of my favorite Winter Village entries this year. I just love it. It's nicely designed, humorous, and somehow also heart-warming.

Nice little square. I like the tree... black works surprisingly well for the trunks.

Gorgeous! So many creations look good from one side, but this one is amazing all the way around. Every angle is loaded with interesting details. I think the bird's nest is my favorite. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone for the great comments! Given another day, I probably would have added some more decoration to the exterior. I had a few ideas in mind, but I ran out of time for tinkering. I'll just have to save them for another project. That said, I wanted it to look elegant and neat so I think the simple decorations work.

Wonderful little garage. I think I need something similar for my town.

Nice scene. Certainly would bring a sense of energy and life to a town set-up.

Perhaps the most amazing thing I've seen in Lego. Absolutely stunning!

Fabulous interiors! You've really used the space effectively. I love the little step inside the first floor and how the attics are crammed full of old stuff.

Well, definitely better than the DO and a great parts pack... but still a bit busy and cartoonish for my taste. DO was only modular I didn't like enough to leave intact. I have a feeling this one will be recycled for MOC parts after the initial build as well.

I agree that it looks straight out of Harry Potter. I like the way you did the gable roof. And it's amazing that you are able to get that much texture and color to harmonize so well.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I believe this rumor... a bank makes sense when you consider the new pieces we saw on the Friends hotel could be used for a greek-revival type design. -

Elegant and nicely balanced facade. Sand blue and dark blue are my favorite lego colors and you've used them quite effectively.

Seems like something from a magical-reality story and fits in very well with your Fishmaster. The blue and salmon colors also look great side-by-side.

Petite, but charming. I really like the color scheme.

Ever wonder where the minifigs are buying all those coffee mugs? My newest modular is a kitchen store: The first floor is the kitchen store.... Cooking classes are offered upstairs... Here it is next to the Fire Brigade and my candy store moc: Thanks for looking!

Wonderful! I like the dark colors and the overall energy and mood.

Wow... huge and amazing. The Duplo animals work surprisingly well with the Friends theme. Looks like it would very fun to play with.

Perfect! So much wonderful detail. The most amazing part to me is how the composition and color scheme is so well balanced... like a 3D illustration.

Thanks for the great comments everyone! You're not the first person to ask so I made a quick example. Simple trick really -
