I'm working on a forest area (to accommodate the recent City logging truck. Waiting on some parts from PAB and I'll be done, will try and remember to post a photo!

2 Parisian Restaurants, 2 Grand Emporium, 2 Pet Shops, 1 Fire Brigade, 1 Town Hall, 1 Palace Cinema. Interesting to see the more popular modulars for bulk buyers - GE and PS look most popular so far!

Thought it was just me! I can get only so far in LDD, and then I need to start building in real bricks to finish. More fun that way too ;) Edit: great model, by the way!

How many cars can one PF motor actually pull?
BricksMcgee replied to PaddMadd's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I think andythenorth has nailed it already, but here are my experiences: One PF can pull a doubled-up Horizon Express (1 powered engine, 4 passenger cars, 1 dummy engine) no problem on level track. The red cargo train (3667) happily pulls 5 cars: adding a 6th car noticeably slows it down, especially around curves. If you're after a bit more pull, try adding weights above the motor - might give you an extra carriage. -
Love these - lots of detail in such a small build! Instantly recognisable, too.

Wow, nice work. Did you manage to expand the HEs from one extra set, or did you just have a lot of spare bricks around?

Haha, that's very cool. I'd keep it, and maybe look to buy the correct minifig from eBay, etc?

Brilliant set, remember it fondly!

MOC: Town & Country Miniland Display
BricksMcgee replied to TimBurdon's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not a huge miniland fan but this is stunning. Love the tram! -
I prefer the bluegrocer - great work! Do you had an LDD file of the mods you made, or just did them as you built/collected parts?

Great mods. Love the Bike Shop mod particularly, though not so keen on the "pizza" sign on the roof, just can't put my finger on why. Definitely needed a toilet, though! :)
-
Great MOC! Love the way the fish and shark are supported particularly.

Think it would've been about £25 GBP - I have the set somewhere but can't find the box to see if the price sticker is still attached!
-
Great idea - the HE train lines for commuter trains over the water remind me of Centraal Station in Amsterdam! Love your city - sure I've commented on it before on EB.
-
Great model! The standard City fire trucks definitely need longer ladders - this one looks much more realistic in its reach :)
-
Ditto, haven't had that problem with 8 HE carriages and 2 locos, and magnets hold perfectly for me.
-
Wow, great build. Love the carriages. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, appreciate the video! Looking good.

You're not joking; stunning work! Engine is my favourite part, looks fantastic!

Very nice, looks like a typical UK police van! Goes well next to the 4431 Ambulance too.

Really nicely done! Colours work brilliantly, and those tyres look perfect to me.

Thanks, been meaning to look in to doing this with my 8404 too! Any videos of it in action? :)
