  1. Nice. I like the detail of the steering wheel, the mix of technic and what I call "normal" lego bricks. H
  2. Could it be down to weight? The weight of a vehicle has a lot to do with tyre grip. Of course the weight would need to be in the right place. H
  3. Hi All, I'm enjoying this topic and your pictures. Keep up the excellent work and I would encourage you all to maybe take things to the extreme and start adding pnuematics, adding trailers, tank tracks etc. H
  4. Hi, I'm from the technic forum but I admire the models you guys do. I started off with space lego many years ago and have an ambition to make a grand building. Great job. Love the tram outside the building. H
  5. Great work! Love the spare wheel mechanism and the included technic figure. H
  6. I love these models. Very clever. More please. H
  7. I wish I had bought that set. However, I think I might build it in my own way. I will post if and when I do it. Good review by the way and interesting to see it along side the other models. It must be the only set with two air tanks. I only have one. The air tank set up, with a compressor, works very well. H
  8. Technic Men. http://www.flickr.co...kop/8702990890/ H
  9. A great build! I like that you've thrown everything into it and not held back, then went one step further and made it remote control. H
  10. For me its 8258. But I hope to have enough of the right parts to build it soon. I don't plan on missing out any more. I'm getting 42008 one way or another this year. H
  11. Hi Guys, The russian one is maybe not the ideal moc but I will try something similar, it won't be for a while yet so please bear with me. I was looking at military vehicles you see and then looked at 42009 and had a light bulb moment. It links in with the topic about what future models we would like to see. We talked about fire vehicles, cement mixers, refuse collection trucks etc. Those are great but I could not help but think that a military style vehicle with functions would be good also. Maybe a bridge builder/launcher. H A satelite launcher. Good idea. H
  12. I agree with Blakbird. The method used is good for this model and makes sense to me. using normal bricks would probably make it heavier, fragile and not as smooth, it would maybe be more time consuming also. These ships are well constructed, accurate and look excellent. I would have tried to use studded panels and maybe failed miserably but I will never know. However, I will try something similar to this but on a much smaller scale. Moving on for a moment, and this maybe become another topic, I remember the lego fire boat and police boat many moons ago. Lego have never really got to grips with water based models. H
  13. That's very nice. I always like to try and make something else using only the parts from the set. Thanks for that. H
  14. No. I've not built one...yet! I've noticed that without it's crane section 42009 could be the beginning of a mobile missile launcher. H
  15. Excellent moc and good video. I like the front end. H
  16. Good looks. Have you only used parts from the ferrari model ? H
  17. I have always found animals to be particularly challenging but have seen a technic horse somewhere online. H
  18. My 9394 arrived today. 8 bags of parts. Lots of nice curvy panels and a good mix of beams, angled connectors, gears and a black wheel hub used as the jet engine by the looks of it.. I am impressed with it. H
  19. Brilliant model! I love the four wheel steer and suspension but would love to see the underside and it's workings. Good design also. H
  20. Will you ever do a battleship of some description ? H
  21. 42008 does indeed have plenty of red parts. The internals are made of red then hidden behind the green panels. So 42008 is , in my opinion, a good buy not just because it's a good model but because it has lots of nice red and green parts. 8435 does have a good amount of blue. Maybe we need a good blue car set soon. H
  22. I have lots of studded red parts but have no red panels and studdles beams etc. I've got lots of yellow now having bought 42006, i've got a fraction of blue, about 2% and I've got many black and grey parts so I need a good balance. if all goes to plan I will get 42008 later in the year. 9394 will give me some red as a start. Then I will see about blue. Do you guys have a good mix of colours? H
  23. Fantastic peice of art. if I had the money and the space I would buy it and put it on display. It should go in an art museum. Well done. H
  24. I will. It's a set I've been admiring and I've not had a flying technic model ever. It has some interesting parts within it. H
  25. I just ordered 9394. I don't have a choice as I need the parts for future projects and as everything else upcoming is either yellow, green or grey and orange or blue (41999) it could be a while before I get red as I suspect 9394 won't be £25 much longer (£28 with postage). There, i've justified it to myself now. Guilt has gone. My other choice was to order red parts but it works out the same cost. More red sets please, lego. H
