  1. I think you need to be a bit mad to do what we do with our lego, but some take it that little bit further. What the heck! go for it, throw everything at it and keep the pictures coming. It's crazy the amount of beams and frames but we can't help but love it. My concern is do you have enough room to build it and how will you get it outside. H
  2. Stunning! A great model and shows the studded technic beams at their best. I still use a couple of studded beams to hang my various coats on for the past few years. H
  3. Simply stunning. I do enjoy looking at the creations in the other forums. H
  4. Hi, That's brilliant. Can I ask, where do you get your bricks from? Do you buy sets or get the bricks on their own from lego etc. H
  5. That's an amazing crane by the way. I would use a wheel hub myself as they are easier to get hold of (in my collection already) than an actual winch drum. H
  6. I could not have put it better myself. Thanks. The completed version will be up soon. H
  7. Your chassis could be the foundation for a few more models. H
  8. The colour is an interesting point and thanks for the tip on embedding and image, I did manage to do it before, i'm using the same method but getting a broken link. Anyway, back to the mode. If I could make it white with some nice stickers that would be fab. Actually, I'm thinking it's more of a Touring Car. H
  9. Looks good to me. They've probably updated it as mentioned, which I think is a nice touch. What are you going to do with the set? display it or take apart? H
  10. They look like wheel hubs to me. From what I remember, train wheel hubs were not much different but it's a long time since I saw train wheels. H
  11. Alasdair, Yes, you are missing something (in my opinion anyway), in my mind the different colours represent the livery of a rally car. I did ponder this when I first saw Mate's model and when building this version. Would it look better in one colour? I would have to build it and see. But as it's based on a rally car, without stickers etc, we have to emulate a livery of the various sponsors that are on a real car. H
  12. Please can I introduce my almost completed version of the Little Rally Car By Mate Lipkovics struggling to embed the image so the link goes to my flickr page. The car needs a bit more work on the back but i'm interested in your comments on the body work. Thanks H
  13. Some great ideas but can I make one last suggestion. A pit of bricks, maybe single stud bricks or a single flat plate. Things like bridges, ramps etc don't have to be lego but I would ask we use as much lego as possible where we can even if it's just on the outside. H
  14. I've just watched the video with the sound off so as not to disturb people watching the TV. So I need to ask what is it going to be ? I find the suspension and steering interesting and i'm ordering some of those parts this week. H
  15. She's a beauty. Love the licence plate. That's a model I would buy. Keep at it and let us know. H Twin racing stripes would look good, yellow, blue, red. I think the choice is yours
  16. How about some household objects? maybe do something with plastic bottles. H
  17. I agree with adding some lego on this track somewhere. Maybe some large beams to climb up, and what about a sand pit and a gravel trap. Oh, and some water. H
  18. That's an epic build. I'm sure you can work the tilt out. I think it will be down to trial and error, maybe using gears. Keep us informed. H
  19. Hi people, I'm a bit confused as to which battery pack is best in weight terms for technic models. I have two 8881's and they are quite a weight when full of batteries. Would 8878 or 88000 be the one to choose? These two packs look very neat and compact. Also, why have lego not made a smaller battery pack to take a 9V battery. Advice please H
  20. That looks good. I think it will look even better in bricks. Keep us up to date with progress and welcome to eurobricks. H
  21. I think a splash of a more standout colour somewhere would add to it's muscle. I would have to experiment. H
  22. I like when it topples over. It has some speed down that small bumpy hill. H
  23. Yes. A licence plate/decoration is the general idea. I'm going to try and make a couple, or I might buy one of those sets as I missed those. Would love 8258. H
  24. Those unimog stickers would be perfect. I just want to add them to my models. It's as simple as that really. H
  25. Good job. Anything you can build with the new studless is a step forward. I'm still learning the new technic, if you can it's worth buying a few sets and having a good build session. Building models that appear on this forum is a good way to re-learn. But you can still incorporate studded and of course some old school parts. H
